    Singapore

A cleaner mopping the floor of an empty hall at a convention centre in Singapore. Cleaning businesses in Singapore will have to be licensed within five months of the Environment Public Health (EPH) Amendment Bill coming into force, which is expected to happen in April, said the National Environment Agency (NEA). The Bill was introduced in Parliament on Monday (Jan 20). The licensing regime will require cleaning businesses to have mandatory written employment contracts, to provide training and to implement the Progressive Wage Model (PWM). This is to ensure that cleaners receive wages that commensurate with their skills, training and productivity. NEA estimates that 55,000 resident cleaners will benefit from those requirements. Businesses offering cleaning services at premises or any public spaces will need to be licensed, while businesses that deal in specialised cleaning are exempted from the mandatory licensing regime. These include the cleaning of facades, pipelines and utility features, construction sites, clean rooms, hazardous or bio-hazardous areas, animal enclosures, swimming pool or aquariums and domestic cleaning. Cleaning businesses will have to be registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) Singapore or the Registry of Societies and show relevant experience. NEA said cleaning businesses should have at least 50 per cent of their staff trained in at least one module within the Singapore Workforce Development Agency’s WSQ Environmental Cleaning (EC) Framework at the point of the first application. At the time of licence renewal, 100 per cent of their staff should be trained. Under the provisions of the Bill, cleaning businesses found operating without a valid licence will be liable to a maximum fine of S$10,000 or up to 12 months jail or both and S$1,000 every day for continuing offences. Service buyers who engage unlicensed cleaning businesses will also be liable to a maximum fine of S$10,000 and S$1,000 every day for continuing offences. Licensed cleaning businesses found to be in breach of licensing conditions may also face a maximum financial penalty of S$5,000 and risk having their licences suspended or revoked. http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/singapores-cleaning-businesses-must-soon-get-licences

  14. Here are the instructions on how to remove the glove compartment to access the aircon filter. This is for Nissan Sunny 2004 and Up (Face Lift/Horizontal Grills). It's a very easy task once you know how to. I took some pix to make the instructions clearer. The basic instructions to remove & installed the aircon filter & glove compartment can be found courtesy of Cairefresh (http://www.cairefresh.com/pop-howto-nissan.htm) but actual dismantling of the glove compartment is slightly different for the FL model. 1. Open your glove compartment and clear your stuff. 2. Here's where the instruction differs from Cairefresh. After opening you glove compartment, look on the left side of the glove compartment and locate the hinge shown as 1. Push it and at the same time pull the glove compartment towards you (No. 2). Once it comes off, just pull it out of the identical hinge on the right. [inline "Remove Step 1.jpg"] 3. Follow Cairefresh's instruction 4. Follow Cairefresh's instruction (lift the cover where it says push. slowly remove the whole cover from the top. Remove the filter by gently pulling it out) [inline filter.jpg] 5. After washing the filter (recommended every 10,000km, washing instruction sticker in glove compartment), place the filter back to the slot. Your filter should be placed as shown above with Nissan word upright, though I dunno if it matters. I have numerous dried leaves and 'garbage' after 10 months 6. Follow Cairefresh's instruction 7. Putting back the Glove compartment. Locate the right hinge as shown. You should align it with the 'male' hinge on the bottom right of the glove compartment. Once that is done, snap back the joint on the left side. Once it it properly fixed, the simple job is done. [inline Installing_Cover.jpg]

Ok, i know you can use Duragloss Fabric & Carpet Cleaner #451 for the job but i also read that u can use #461 to : Dilute Duragloss Ultimate Orange with water to use on more sensitive materials, like carpet and upholstery. So presume that i get #461, i just pour bit into a spray bottle, dilute and spray on carpet, scrub and blot dry and let it air dry further and thats it? The reason i wanna get #461 is that can use for other surfaces What other ways do u use your #461?

    Scratch mark

My car has a deep scratch mark on the bonnet for almost a year. Recently, the unsightly mark seemed to become more obvious as it darkens in color and makes a stark difference against the white paintwork. I believed it is due to dirt accumulating in the cavity, just like how food remains get trapped in our tooth cavity. Since it was Christmas day and I was idling at home, I decide to do a little experiment with a bottle of liquid clay bar that I bought some time ago. The liquid clay bar is supposed to be a deep cleanser that removes embedded dirt. It has a 3 layer system that contains a stain remover, wash and special clay compound according to the label on the bottle. After giving the content in the bottle a good shake, I poured a small amount of the mixture onto the sponge and gently rubbed over the scratch mark. To my pleasant surprise, the scratch mark lightens up in shade. I proceed to wash away the mixture on the paintwork with clean water. After drying up the surface with a cloth, I applied a layer of wax to protect the surface as the clay compound will strip the any sealant that was applied before. Below is the outcome after a 10 minutes
