I was out of Eng Neo from PIE stopped right infront of the u turning corner red liht waiting to enter Bt Timah road and subsequently into Sixth Ave. One big F****** dump truck was also stopping on my right in front of the traffic light wanting to go into Sixth Ave as well. Do u know why I know he wants to go into Sixth Ave? bcos the moment the red light turned green, the F****** uncle disregard my existence and even before I can release my right foot from my brake, he simply swerve himself into my lane and cross in front of me! luckily, the back bumper of his F****** truck is lucky to be high enough to have only bang into my right wing mirror crossing above my bonnet. I immediately horned him but it seemed that he did not noticed his bloody F****** backside kena me and still want to proceed! I horned & horned until somebody might have alerted him to stop...not enough, even before I can stop and alight from my car, he still want to run again! I was soooo F****** angry with him that I gave him a BIG scolding until he apologised like his urine wanting to come out. However he was lucky that I am still alive! and best of all, my conti is still a conti, no scratches at all, he was lucky though, if not i will make sure he make a hole out of his wallet! Just imagine that if he were to swerve out an inch or so nearer, my destination yesterday would be a different place! Guys, such an ignorant driver don't need speed to be bad, be very careful on the road, especially next to, behind or in front of big vehicles, they have a lot of blind spots!

Just updated the PI thread ..... quite amazed that there is actually at least 65 PIs operating now .... I guess with the decreasing number of COEs, there'll be less cars for sale .... meaning soon there'll be more competition and some of these PIs will NOT make it. Anyone want to bet which PI will be the first to close shop ?

Hi experts, sorry for asking this questions, cant find much infor from slc and goole as well...looking for answers from the exports here... 1) whats the diff between open pod and close pod interms of performance? 2) Some people said that close pods are better for auto gear car...is it true? 3) Is fixing the pods illegal??? Fellow Chevvy Enthusiasts, Was browsing the Malaysian Chevrolet website at (http://www.chevrolet.com.my/) and found out they recently released the Optra5 in Malaysia as 1.8L. You can download the PDF brochure and read the specifications. So close but so far away The Optra5 would have been FANTASTIC with a 1.8L engine Hehe... maybe I can buy a 1.8L one in Johor in my same colour, swap to my SG license plate before driving it up...

According to the manual it does. I tried to (used a slight bit of force) but it refused to budge even a centimetre. Or is the manual incorrect?

Had a close call yesterday at Plaza Singapura. As I was passing this car, his passenger door suddenly swung open 'fully'. Technically, I was a sitting duck, no chance to react. I probably missed the door my milimeters. Well the passenger did not even looked apologetic but that is another matter. This car was stopped at a taxi stand and I had just exited the car park. Assuming if I had taken out the door, who will be considered at fault? What will happen if the passenger is injured? I believe many drivers out there had similar experience. I personally believe that it is the driver's responsiblity to ensure that their passengers alight safely.

I noticed that the auto Octy's rpm is quite high when cruising. 100km/h at 3000rpm. Got once I hit 125km/h and the rpm was at 4000 and roaring! Anyone care to comment?

i have read quite a fair bit abt close ratio gearbox, all claim to be able to hit optimum RPM faster and stay within optimum RPM for respective powerbands of each gear. other than higher fuel consumption, i havent found out other disadvantages. anyone can enlighten me? thks.

I just went down to the basement carpark to get a sweet from the car...lo and behold, my coolant was all over the place! Noticed the hose leading to the radiator had come loose. Imagine if it'd only done so on my way to work...the car coulda overheated!

1) Slam 2) Drop 3) Close then press Now what is the diff? I using the close and press to lock method as I don't want to wear the locking clip by impacting the bonnet down. What are your methods and why?
