  1. Hi All... i'm not a car expert mech watever... just have many experiences experimenting with my cars... for all the Sunny N16 owners who have good FC... congrats lucky you... for all those who have been having terrible FC... forget all the bullsh1t gadgets to save fuel... forget able driving so bloody light footed make driving damn sian... we all know higher tyre pressures, lighter loads (boot and passengers), lighter foot, more highway driving, clean air filter, free flowing exhaust, less useage of aircon... etc will give you better FC... first i want you all to know that my N16 is a manual, i drive heavy footed very often... i use 205/16/55... and i get 400km minimum with every full tank (till light comes out)... (sometimes almost 500km up if i continue driving after the light comes on) tats if i really drive as light footed as i can... do note that i pump petrol until there is no flowback(i do not shake the car it looks ridiculous)... and after light comes on its safe to drive another 30km up or more (i have tried to approx 50km more at most so far...) if you have tried so many ways to better your sunny FC but fail even after spending so much money on ridiculous gadgets or even those bloody expensive magnets... STOP WASTING $$$... let me share with you this now... logic... *we all know that those who use a 5W/20 or 5W/30... will get better FC compared to those using a 5W/40 or 5W/50... *i asked around and most agree that a 5W/20-30 will give you up to 50km per full tank more than 5W/40-50... trust me unless your mech used a measuring bottle for your Sunny's EO, i'll bet my money there is too much Engine oil in your car... in the morning after you have parked your car overnite, measure your Engine oil with your dip stick.. take out wipe clean and push back in and check... if the oil if way above the F mark, which i believe it will be, go get an oil change immediately when you can... get a accurate measuring bottle, not just any EO bottle with side markings... if you didnt change your oil filter cause still very new, drain all your old oil and measure 2.5liters of EO and fill ur engine... if you change your oil filter, drain old oil, measure 2.7liters of EO and fill the Engine... (this amt of EO is the same even for the 1.8engines, not available in SG but in MY the 1.8Sentra) (do not tell yourself aiya put a little bit more oil better protection etc... yes slightly more may be better protection softer engine but defeats the purpose of this test... 2.7liters will be at the F mark dont worry...) *use exactly the same engine oil brand type vocosity, dont change plugs or air filter, dont change your driving style, load or watever... just be the same driver as if you didnt change your oil... i bet you will see yourself getting more km for your full tank... cause when i used c-- ---e and VX for my previous couple of oil changes (all measured by myself), i had better FC then when i change to Redline ester based (mech poured in when i was not looking)... all are 5W/40... not logical so i drained the redline until my oil left was at the F mark when cold. drove it just now and i can feel immediately the car revs faster and more eager to go... based on my butt dyno... so my conclusion is this... over fill your engine with too much engine oil and your FC will suffer... other tips for better FC is a clean air filter, tyre pressure about 4psi above recommended, change or remove(illegal)your cat if its more than 5yrs old cause it should be dead by then n stop working anyways...
  2. Hi all, Each time when there is a hike in fees, rates or tax, it gives vendors the convenience of raising prices. Even if the hike is due to temporary global shortage, hike in demand and etc, you bet that the price once raised will never fall back to the prior level. While corresponding increase to equalize the effect may be reasonable but vendors often increase prices by a few fold . Is this fair or not? Can a plain market supply and demand theory deter vendors from increasing prices? You increase, I buy less and the price fall back ? Got such thing now? Regards,

  16. Hi I'm new here and I found this forum just when I try to search several major parts for my Galant 8G I'll do the introduction in here since I'm in desperate states and I'll explain why First of All I'm from Indonesia, kinda near huh ? I'm Mitsubishi Galant 8G M/T user (6A13 2.5 SOHC V6-24) and bought it last 3 month ago (of course it's second hand car) and recently doing some several project for it 1st Problem Right now I'm doing engine swap of 6G72TT M/T 1st generation (from GTO not 3000GT) to my Galant 8G and so far not quite good. I can't find any reference for help but I found some1 already done 6G74 swap to Galant 8G so right now I'm using that as reference though I don't know if it can help 2nd Problem (THE BIGGEST PROBLEM) I'm looking for Speedometer of Mitsubishi Galant Avance 2.5 V6-24 SOHC (6A13) M/T Euro-Spec. It's basically same type and has same engine at my country. The only differences are ours have much much more crappier interior quality including speedometer and Euro-Spec Galant is Left-Handed. To make it short, is there any1 that sell Speedometer of Galant Avance 2.5 V6 Manual(read up to 260 Km/h) ? Last time i went to SG, I've tried my luck checking most of the car junkyard at Woodland Industrial Park but no result. Any suggestion ? Sample Picture of Speedometer Galant Avance 2.5 V6 Manual: Not to mention it has different gearbox since I'm using 6G72TT (the speedometer only compatible with 6A13 and 6A13TT). So there's a huge chance the speed sensor and other sensor won't work (only the light / optitron will work since it's universal). So Any1 sell the speedometer (just exactly like at the picture) and have any suggestion bout how to match it to 6G72TT ? 3rd Problem (SECOND MAJOR PROBLEM) I'm also looking for MMCS 2nd Edition Wide screen from Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Facelift Sample picture of MMCS 2nd Edition Wide Screen : Any1 know where I can buy it, I'm planning to install it to my Galant 8G. And any reference how to install it to Galant 8G 2.5 6A13 ? I'm sorry if u guys have a hard time understanding it since I'm not very good in english.

  21. On Monday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced it was fining Toyota $16.4 million for failing to recall vehicles due to faulty accelerator pedals in a timely fashion. Toyota has two weeks to either contest or pay the fine, but an e-mail obtained by the Detroit Free Press shows that it may be best for the Japanese automaker to quickly pay the fine and move on. The document in question is an e-mail from Irv Miller, a now-retired public relations executive for the automaker's U.S. operations, and it shows that Toyota may have been aware of sticking gas pedals well before the company recalled 2.3 million vehicles to correct the potentially dangerous defect. Under federal law, automakers have five days after finding a safety defect before issuing an official recall. Miller cautioned in his email that the automaker is not "protecting our customers by keeping this quiet. The time to hide on this one is over." Miller then went on to make absolutely clear that he was talking about unintended acceleration issues by adding "WE HAVE A tendency for MECHANICAL failure in accelerator pedals." The odd cadence of CAPS was apparently used by Miller for emphasis. Miller was apparently so concerned with top U.S. executive Yoshi Inaba and U.S. sales boss Jim Lentz's January meeting with NHTSA that he also wrote Toyota "better just hope that they can get NHTSA to work with us in coming to a workable solution that does not put us out of business." The Freep also reports that among the 70,000 documents gathered by NHTSA during its investigation was evidence that Toyota warned 31 European governments and Canada of the pedal problems as early as September, 2009. It reportedly even went as far as providing a service bulletin with instructions for repairing the pedals, but didn't issue a recall for sticking accelerator pedals in the U.S. until January 21, 2010. Miller's e-mail could well make fighting that $16.4 million fine a really bad idea, but the larger looming issue may be that his words appear to show that Toyota wasn't acting in the best interest of its extremely loyal customers. It's a good thing Miller is (suddenly) retired, because he probably wasn't going to be the most popular guy in the office this week.
