  1. Since our Grand Master himself spoke of this matter, and Yahoo SG posted the news on this, i guess it should be alright to discuss the topic here. But everyone please think carefully and in a matured way when posting any reply.

  4. http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_622575.html ST Forum Home > ST Forum > Online Story Jan 11, 2011 Spare pet owners the 'D' word RECENTLY, my dog passed away and I had to deregister it on the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority website. On the site, under the given options for reasons for deregistration, the first one is the word "dead" followed by others such as "lost", "stolen" and so on. We are already feeling very sad over the loss of our dog and it is insensitive to have such a word on the site. Is it possible to change it to something like "passed on"? This would really go a long way towards helping dog owners get over their grief. Elizabeth Chiona (Ms) ================================= Latest comments "Passed On " .. to whom ? The truth hurts... 19. Hi, I'm considering between the Garmin Nuvi 205W and the 250W to replace my WM Pocket PC GPS unit. I understand that the main differences between the two are: 205W Weight - 147.42 g (Lighter) Batt Life - 4hrs (Shorter Batt Life) Waypoints - 1000 FM traffic compatible - Yes Where Am I? - Yes Photo navigation - Yes Choose keyboard layout - Yes 250W Weight - 172.93 g (Heavier) Batt Life - 5hrs (Longer Batt Life) Waypoints - 500 FM traffic compatible - No Where Am I? - No Photo navigation - No Choose keyboard layout - No By looking at the comparison data gotten from the Garmin website, it seems that the 205W is a better GPS device, am I correct? Are there any other differences between the two units other than what's stated in the Garmin website? Which would be a better option of a GPS unit? I have been using GPS via my WM Pocket PC + Bluetooth GPS Receiver and Mapking but I cannot search via postal codes. My WM Pocket PC also hangs often and runs out of battery REALLY fast. Will the Garmin 205W/250W GPS allow me to search postal codes? Are there any more advantages which the Garmin 205W/250W GPS has against these WM Pocket PC GPS combos? Pardon me for all these noob qns as I have very little knowledge on GPS devices. Are there any Garmin GPS expert bros/sis can enlighten me? Thanks, Ed

  22. Folk fear angry deity may be cause of accidents Some Chinese believe that accidents on the North-South Expressway near Tangkak are due to an angry Datok Kong (Grandfather Deity) in the area, reports China Press. Residents believe the deity is a guardian of a hill or an area and they would hold prayers for protection. The daily reported that the stretch of the highway was prone to accidents and several would occur each year. The latest involved a bus heading towards Johor Baru and Singapore from Perak on Sunday which killed 10 people. Earlier this year, two separate accidents killed seven people along the stretch. A trader, known only as Chan, told the daily that nearby residents believed that the area was guided by the three Datok Kong before the highway was built. But no prayers were held to appease the deities when the highway was constructed. "We believe this had angered Datok Kong who will 'catch' some people every year," he said. He added that locals believe that the stretch is 'dirty' and would take extra precaution when driving. "According to some Malays, the area was previously a Malay cemetery and not enough prayers were held before construction work started," he said The above report appears in Asiaone.com Do you believe that there are so called "dirty spot" where fatal accidents always occur there?

( Huh huh? ) If your earning status dont allow u to buy an expensive sport car, its God will that you should not buy because your maturity to handle such a car is not there yet. You heard about any LAwyers or doctors driving WRX and dying? No right? Warning to all idiots out there, Again, you are next. Hello my fren Tessa, where are you?? IF I am the family of the two jokers, I will surely SUE the government for planting a tree there. His friend also gota WRX but got into an accident a few weeks back. His car is still under repair when he died in this accident. Both friends have HISTORY of being road pests, racing fast and gotten into ACCIDENTs. Jokers like them should never been on the road. Now they are no longer on the road, we should all rejoice because this WRX could have RAMMED into your family car and wreck your family members if they never gana STOPPEd by the TREE. Two lives + a car lost just because of a Tree. Whos next? 25. Heard the PM being interviewed last night and reported by the ST newspaper today he mentioned that he had been watching the F1 for the past few nights prior to the sunday race, he said that he was not watching the cars but looking at how much exposure is on the country itself during the fri n sat races. My wife and I were astonished to hear that comments coming from the PM mouth...no doubt such event will put SG in the limelight but as a leader in the country, he was trying to say to F1 and partners that hey...i con you guys to come over my country to run f1 and i have no interest whatsoever in your cars or drivers...all i want is my country to have maximum exposure and advertisment..... PM mentioned there is room for improvement on F1...but i feel that the PM really need to improve his PR skills b4 shooting his mouth, PMO and his secretariat must be idling and sleeping...this is what we call "HIGHLY PAID TALENTED CIVIL SERVANTS" who can't even do a proper PR with the F1 and partners.....
