  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwLfhVnALOAThe National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(U.S.) would like drivers to know that when eggnog and Christmas cheer get the best of you this season, driving is the last thing you should do, and it has enlisted the mercenary services of Robocop to remind you. In a $7.5-million ad campaign, at least. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INmtQXUXez8 The anti-drunk driving commercials are part of "Drive sober or get pulled over" ads that accompany a heightened police crackdown on drunk drivers until January 1. It coincides with the release of the Robocop reboot, which is scheduled to be in theaters next February. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPLSpmAtc1Q You can check out the 32-second NHTSA spot below, and also two trailers for the Robocop film just to make sure you understand what you're dealing with. You know what needs to happen now. Rather, you have ten seconds to comply.... Here in Singapore, Drink driving is a very serious offence and the penalties are severe. Drink drivers, on conviction, will be disqualified from driving for at least 12 months, which would, in effect, invalidate their driving licences. These motorists will have to undergo the theory and practical tests in order to obtain their driving licences again. In addition, first-time offenders can be fined between $1,000 and $5,000, or jailed up to 6 months, while repeat offenders may be punished with a maximum fine of $30,000 and a mandatory jail term of up to 3 years. They may also receive up to six strokes of the cane should death or serious injury occur. So, don't drive to drink :)
  2. beautiful song, and nice nostalgic advert think this was made in 1970s can see in the advert, the Singapore River was still filled with bumboats, the streets got the mobile hawker stalls, etc nice [:)]

  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOzjcEq526I Chinese carmaker, BAIC, has engaged Hollywood actor, Nicolas Cage, to star in a commercial for the brand new Senova D Series. "We choose Nicolas Cage as the spokesman for our high end brand 'Shenbao' not only because he is an Oscar-winning actor and a screen legend, but, more importantly, because he has starred in a series of action films about cars," said an official in BAIC's Marketing Department. The Senova D Series is based on the SAAB 9-5 platform. In 2009, BAIC bought Saab's production lines for the first generation 9-3 and 9-5, which had an estimated worth of US$200 million(S$250 million). However, BAIC did not acquire the right to use the 'Saab' name. 'Shenbao' is the Chinese name for Saab in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. The Shenbao D-Series is available with three turbocharged engines, namely a 1.8-litre with 180bhp, a 2.0-litre with 204bhp and a 2.3-litre with 250bhp. The engines are mated to a five-speed tiptronic transmission with paddle shifts.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bowkytZAVdw After Ford, Hyundai is the next car maker to apologise over a controversial commercial. The video, created by agency, Innocean Europe for Hyundai UK, shows a man trying to attempt suicide in his garage by hooking up the exhaust pipe to the cabin of his Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell. The attempt failed as the ix35 only emits water vapours and not carbon monoxide which blocks the transport of oxygen to the brain, heart, and other vital organs in the body. Hyundai issued an apology statement that read, "Hyundai Motor deeply and sincerely apologises for the offensive viral ad. It runs counter to our values as a company and as members of the community. We are very sorry for any offense or distress the video caused. More to the point, Hyundai apologises to those who have been personally impacted by tragedy." Hyundai has removed the YouTube video after widespread criticism on social media. However, the video has been uploaded by other netizens.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SohqIBOb03k The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League in the United States and is known for its high-profile advertisements that are aired during its television broadcast - that are believed to reach more than 90 million viewers and are very costly. Hyundai has come up with six commercials for the Super Bowl and one of them features the Sonata 2.0 Turbo sedan. The commercial, by the name of
  7. Ford lands itself in hot soup in India due to a series of advertisements promoting the Figo compact MPV. Titled 'Leave your worries behind', there are three advertisements meant to illustrate the Figo's spacious boot. The most controversial of them all shows former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi smiling behind the wheel of the Figo with three scantily dressed women tied up and bundled into the boot. These women each had a ball stuck in their mouths. With the 2012 Delhi gang rape case still fresh in every one's mind and a similar case involving a Swiss national recently, Ford's advertisements with sexual connotations is bound to attract negative public reaction. As a result, Ford had to issue an apology via a press statement: "We deeply regret this incident and agree with our agency partners that it should have never happened. The posters are contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within Ford and our agency partners. Together with our partners, we are reviewing approval and oversight processes to help ensure nothing like this ever happens again." The other two advertisements features Michael Schumacher as the driver with his F1 rivals in the boot and Paris Hilton with the Kardashian sisters tied up in the boot.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpi2IAec9Ho The above displayed Fiat 500 Abarth 'Seduction' commercial was named 'Best TV Commercial' at this year's D Show held on 28th Nov in Detroit. The D Show is an annual event hosted by the Adcraft Club of Detroit dedicated to judging and awarding creativity in Detroit. Entries are submitted by advertising agencies and reviewed by judges from within the advertising industry. "It is great to see a video that was created on a shoestring budget and not intended to be shown on television, receive prestigious accolades like the D Show 'Best TV Commercial' honor," says Olivier Francois, Head of Fiat Brand Worldwide and Chrysler Group LLC and Fiat Group Automobiles Chief Marketing Officer. Seduction was created in partnership with the Dallas-based 'The Richards Group' and stars supermodel Catrinel Menghia. In the US, the mini hatchback is offered with a 1.4-litre Multi-Air turbocharged four-cylinder that is rated at 160bhp and 230Nm of torque.

  13. Earlier this year in January, MINI announced its plans to revive the MINI Van and showcased the vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show. The car will be based on the MINI Clubman and the company called it the MINI Cargo. At that time, there were no photos or rendered images on how the car would look like. Just before the above mentioned auto show began, MINI showed images of the car and they also changed the name to the MINI Clubvan. Initially, the company stated that the MINI Clubvan will only be a concept and they have no immediate plans to put the vehicle into production. It is during auto exhibitions where many automakers gauge public reaction to a certain new offering before deciding whether it will go into production. In this case, MINI used the recent Geneva Motor Show to see how popular their MINI Clubvan was. And it appears that the public fully approves it and MINI will enter the Clubvan into production. The MINI Clubvan is hugely based on the Clubman

  15. I'm considering acquiring a service apartment for long term tenant leasing. Location is Chengdu South at the new CBD area. As I'm new to overseas property purchase, I'm wondering what are the pitfalls of such a purchase?
  16. Hi, Have read from some where that Commercial Vehicles do not have PARF, i.e. if they are to be scrapped before 10 years, only the COE value will be refunded, is it true ?
  17. I've had a look around the web for local distributors of commercial vehicles but can't seem to find any that sell that really large version where you can stand up comfortably inside the back of it. I need to look for one that isn't so big that you need to sit for a different class of driving license. I think it can't be more than a 14ft vehicle if I am not mistaken. What I am tying to do is source for a vehicle and convert the inside of it to make it into a mobile showroom. Any advice is much appreciated.

How about having those seats behind and not those sofa (What are the above models that have this ?). Maintence issue? Hope to hear some favourable replies!
