  1. Friday, August 25, 2006 OYAMA, Japan (AP) - Toyota says it may delay some models as it works to improve quality control. The automaker's president denies that there's been a decision to delay models across the board, saying development of individual vehicles will be decided on a case-by-case basis. The Japanese automaker is tightening its quality control methods in a campaign to reduce a spate of recalls that risk damaging its reputation. The Wall Street Journal reports that Toyota has considered slowing development of some new models by as much as six months because of the quality problems. In addition, Japanese authorities have launched a criminal investigation into three Toyota officials suspected of failing to do anything about a faulty steering part, which may have caused a 2004 head-on accident that injured five people. Friday, Chinese authorities said Toyota will recall 20,000 Crown sedans made in China because of defective rubber strips that seal the windshields. The first picture shows the M-Bus port on the auxillary box for the head unit. The second picture shows the IP-Bus port for the CDX-P1270. Anyone knows who and where has such a cable? Or is anyone able to do a modification to my exisiting IP-Bus cable to change one end to a M-Bus connector? Thank you in advance for any help rendered.

  8. Hi all: I am running a active subwoofer with a attached control with level control, phase and low frequency filter. Powering my sub is a Pioneer Hu with also the level control, phase and low frequency filter control function. Can I check with anyone here what sort of settings I should make to both of them. For example, should I set the sub's level control to the highest on my HU and then tuning it to my preference via the level control on my subwoofer. Or is it the other way round? What about the low frequency filter? Should the frequency that I cut bass off be the same with what I set on the HU and that of what I set on the subwoofer itself? Anyone any advise? Do you think I should just remove the remote control of my Subwoofer and just use my HU totally to control the bass output? Thanks in advance.

Please share how much did it cost you and which package you installed. If anyone has other brands installed, please feel free to share as well. Currently, i only know of/am looking at these 3 brands. Looking to spend about $500-$700. Comments are greatly welcomed and appreciated!

  14. If you like this fitment for relaxed driving locally or even up north, this kit looks pretty good. It is from Rostra and it works for both automatic and manual transmission Aveos. The difference is that for the manual, you have to fit the clutch kit. According to the guy, it should work with the 1.4L DOHC Aveo. Mechanically, the 1.6L DOHC is the same as the 1.4L DOHC. My contact is selling for USD175.

I've searched online, and I think it will not affect the car at all if the engine is not knocking.. What about IAC? It is just affecting the idle speed when engine is cold right? Anyway, any info will be good.
