  1. Wonder anyone heard or even using this brand of solar film (power cool) from JB. I was quoted RM 380 for doing only e front windscreen. Alternatively RM 680 for the whole car (6 wind-screen for a saloon car). As e remaining 5 wind-screen are with solar film hence to 'tear' it off before putting up e new solar film, they will charge RM 80. Any comment on what mentioned about? Thanks
  2. Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 - Old School Cool Compared with previous years' Auto Salons, this time, i did not spot many classics on the show floor. But those that were present made up for the lack of quantity with some quality showings. Retro favourites Rocky Auto showed off 2 JDM legends, an S30 Fairlady and a Hakosuka. Both tweaked, both insane. The Fairlady was jazzed up with a love-it or hate-it chrome wrap, ran a RB26. Rocky Auto's Hakosuka was constantly under siege by showgoers. What lay under the bonnet? Another RB26? How about a V8 from a Lexus LS400 (Toyota Celsior)? Purist stand back! Another car bound to give anoraks a heart attack is this 2000GT legend converted to run on electricity, complete with solar panels on the bonnet. Along the same lines as the 2000GT is this Subaru 360, also converted to run on batteries. Now that we are done with the horror of EV classics, here we present to you this beautifully lovely petrol drinking Kenmeri. Pictures just don't do these cars any justice at all. You just have to see them in the flesh. I wish to have my very own Kenmeri one day... This Fairlady is just beginning to have her youth renewed. Star Road's Fairlady sitting pretty and pristine. HCR showing us how wild an early Starlet can be. Phat wheels on a phat ride.
  3. Hi there, thinking of getting an air cooler for my hall. any guys have used one before? do the ones with water evaporation work well? can it cool room to 25 degrees?
  4. Not sure if there is already a list. Actually what we put forward will neither be right or wrong, there is no absolute answer coz it's subjective. Car A may be cool and unique to me but not to other bros. Never mind, lets see if there are cars which receive majority votes. For a start, what comes to mind immediately as cool? A Ferrari?? ---- to me though it's sizzling but not as cold as say a Range Rover Evogue.... maybe because there's nothing else doing what the Evogue does whereas a Ferrari has at least a few other supercars offering same type of sensations eg looks, speed, 2-seater, high performance, price.... At the point, there's nothing like the Evogue. Let us know if there's another car providing the same and what other cars you think are COOL??

  8. think i really need some anger management... anyone got any anger management classes to recommend? saw a few accidents today... one of which was this bike smashed a yellow top MPV taxi at geylang near the junction G7 frog legs there... i was coming from fort road... saw the taxi rear window gone... bike crumpled on the road... 2 helmets lying on the ground... 2 TP bikes in the middle of the road... pretty jammed... but i was not in a hurry... so made a loop at G7 back to CTE... no hurry... time delayed no problem... but the afternoon one... a orange super4 on the AYE ECP before MBS... not really jammed up but 1st lane blocked a tow truck was hoisting uop the bike... so cut left 2nd lane and once passed cut back 1st lane and pick up speed to probably a 100km/h... cause i was in a rush, as usual full of appointments... right at MBS overhead bridge a black lancer was going say probably 80km/h... which is normal cause twisty road... as i was abt 100km/h so i had to brake and i braked late so was behind him pretty close... i stayed close (tailgate lah) to signal to him that i wanna pass... either you speed up or pls change to left lane... gave him a few seconds to realise i am behind him... but he didnt speed up cause got lorry on the 2nd lane, maybe he thought he was driving a 7series or landrover... or maybe a bus... anyways he could cut left but decided to stay on the 1st lane same speed as the lorry... by this time already abt 70km/h... at the point of the road connecting up to the bridge he realised i was tailgating him.. i did not honk or highbeam or anything... images of the Vios kukoo bird on the PIE were still fresh in my mind... THEN THIS KNN (black Lancer with Liverpool stickers) jammed brake... AGAIN KANNA THIS TYPE OF CB.... and i swear he jammed until 60km/h and below cause i checked my speedo... i was not really shock as i was already not tailgating him that close and had ample time to brake also.. but what pissed me off was that HE STEPPED ON THE BRAKE REPEATEDLY to show it was on purpose (NO CARS INFRONT OF HIM)... before he braked on purpose, (as advised here by some bros on my last blue Aveo incident) i was already intending to cut left and go (lorrys behind liao and lane 2 was clear)... but KNN chut stunt... i drove passed very close and saw the passenger (a malay) giggling... rear passenger (looks like a chinese lady) smiling... KNN i knew it... CB driver chut stunt thought he frightened me... so the passengers thinks its funny... i wind down window and %#%&@#^%#^*@%#*%% all came out of my mouth (mother vagina intercourse all came out)... the driver looked at me and looked in front back and forth trying to look at me but i guess he must be afraid his car might swerve... i continuously looked at him and signaled with my hand a tapping brake action... point to myself... and show a 'mati' sign (dying)... the driver looked at me and looked infront again and so when he looked at me i gave a throwing middle finger at him and ^&^%^*#%..... everytime he looked at me i ^#$&^@$#@(*$ him... total a few times and realised got tail back behind... so i gave a last middle finger and drove off... he cut 2nd lane and he disappeared behind me... actually i forgot about the whole incident (very busy hetic afternoon n evening)... just got home 1130pm and remembered this incident so sharing it here... KNN dont know why i will feel a little bad for F^&%^&^king him now... maybe if he f^%^ked me back i wouldnt feel bad... but then if he did that i think low char fight liao... anyways i am really considering if there are classes to attend to learn to better control your temper... hmmmm... best if the teacher chio chio one... or classmates chio one....

  10. The newest attempt to cool the property market and stop short term speculation. From what I understand - Loan to Valuation lowered to 60%, 40% cash or CPF. Seller stamp duty raised to 16% on the 1st year sale, 12%, 8% and then 4% on subsequent years. Pretty big changes in the short term. http://www.mnd.gov.sg/newsroom/newsrelease...ews13012011.htm

  12. We all have seen typical types of wedding videos.... some are quite boring in fact.... Last night's wedding vid was quite different (but maybe some of you have already seen similar vids before, but this was my first time seeing such a vid....):- The vid was filmed in near-black&white kind of colour, not too focused (very much like home-made youtube vid quality), but it showed the groom proposing the the bride by the road side at night (possibly a 3-lane main road at 11pm when traffic was not really heavy but cars did zoom pass).... shaky camera etc all thrown in ..... both of them and friends around were really casual: some in long-sleeves and burmudas... the gals in shorts and t-shirt...... the 'acting' was quite natural, when the bride saw the diamond ring, her mouth opened wide and then froze..... LOL..... flowers??.... he was holding only a single stalk..... cheap and good.... Any memorable wedding vids you have seen??
  13. MND announces measures THE Ministry of National Development (MND) announced on Monday several measures that would maintain a 'stable and sustainable' property market, that will take place with immediate effect. In a statement issued on Monday morning, MND said it would increase the holding period for the imposition of Seller's Stamp Duty (SSD) on residential properties sold from one year to three years. The SSD levied will vary according to the term of occupancy. If the property is sold in the first year of purchase, the full SSD will be levied - one per cent for the first $180,000 of the consideration, two per cent for the next $180,000, and three per cent for the balance. Two-thirds of the SSD will be levied for properties sold in the second year of occupancy and one-third for properties sold in the third year of occupancy. The extended SSD will not affect HDB lessees as the required Minimum Occupation Period for HDB flats is at least 3 years. For property buyers with outstanding housing loans, the Minimum Cash Payment has been increased from five per cent to ten per cent of the valuation limit. This measure is applied only to buyers of private residential properties, Executive Condominiums, HUDC flats and HDB flats (including those under the Design, Build and Sell Scheme) who are taking housing loans from MAS-regulated financial institutions who already have one or more outstanding housing loans. For this group, the Loan-to-Value (LTV) limit has been lowered from 80 per cent to 70 per cent. Borrowers who do not have any outstanding housing loans will continue to have an LTV cap of 80 per cent. Loans granted by HDB for HDB flats (including DBSS flats) will still have an LTV cap of 90 per cent. HDB loans are offered to eligible first-time flat buyers and second-timers who are right-sizing their flats to meet their housing needs. They are required to utilise all of their CPF Ordinary Account balance before HDB loans will be granted. In their statement, the MND said lowering the LTV limit would 'send a clear signal' to financial institutions to maintain credit standards, and also encourage greater financial prudence.

  17. Wed, Apr 21, 2010 AsiaOne By Tony Ng THE heat is off car dealers and buyers, at least for this week, as premiums for Certificates of Entitlements softened in the second open bidding of April. A piece of Category A COE, used for small cars 1,600cc and below, now cost $30,000 instead of $34,001. Getting a piece of Category B COE, used for larger cars above 1,600cc, will cost you $5,500 lesser. At the close of bidding, it finished at $40,001. Both are around 12 per cent drops from the previous premiums. The premium for the Open Category, mainly used for cars, dropped $5,997 to finish at $43,003 as well. Premiums for commercial vehicles and motorcycles ended at $35,556 and $1,253 respectively.
