  2. Nice and rare ride. http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/listing.php?BRSR=36&CAT=4 really wish i can afford it for its exclusivity but 20k per annum depre is not to mention the astronomical road tax insurance and petrol bills. sadly this series is gone, most probably the last of its kind.
  3. Hi Intend to install solar film for my Lancer. Understand that V-Kool has mind-share while Cool n Lite is value-for-money. Which one would you recommend if quality is the over-riding concern? Off-the-cuff, anyone knows their ball-park prices? Thanks!

  5. Hi Bros out there, Has anyone heard of Custom Cool Solar Film before??? How is it compared to Cool N Lite??? Cos just bought a new car and was supposed to install Cool N Lite, but my PI can't get any slot to install the Cool N Lite before CNY, hence ask me to install Custom Cool instead. He told me Custom Cool provide Life time warranty and Cool N Lite only 7 years warranty. so any feed back on Custom Cool??? How reputable and reliable is Custom Cool Solar film?
  6. look at the amazing aerodynamics! feel the throbbing boxer! the must have car for SUV and spoerts enthusiasts
  7. Hi all superb owners. I am making a list of little known Superb features/tips. Most of you know, some don't. Just thought I share. Please add if you like and correct if I am wrong. Merry Christmas! 1. Climatic Control (aircon) Diagnostic mode (See attachment). This actually applies to all models with Climatic control. Taken off an old passat website. I find it very useful. For safety reasons, PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS WHILE DRIVING..... Stop, switch to diag mode and drive off. Keep yr eyes on the road. I do not want to be the reason for an increase in superb accidents over Christmas. 2. sun visor above the rear view mirror 3. For those who find it hard to shift from P to D after starting car. Do this.. after parking, Move shifter to N, release foot brake and depress again. Lift hand brake, and move shifter to P. You should find that the next time you start the car and move from P to D, you will not face so much less resistance. Lamy Climatic control.rtf
  8. Hi! I would like to tint my car's 4 windows, front and rear windscreen at a good price, not too concerned about the heat-inhibiting properties of the solar films etc. Jonathan (next to Ubi TP) quoted me $180 for tinting the 4 windows, 50% light transmission. He mentioned cannot do the front and rear windscreen as it will cause 'double image' at the front and the heating elements at the rear causes a problem. How is it that its not a problem for films such as V-Cool and Nanolux? I am aware that for the rear, they actually cut it into strips and according to a friend, this causes very bad vision at night. Anyone knows where i can get this done in SG for a good price, for the entire car? Saw this chio Lancer '03 with very nice black tinted windows all-round, at closer look, its by Rike-Cool. Anyone knows the contact and price for this? Is this tint a standard for Lancer '03 or is it a add-on? Thanks for any comments. cheers, Patrick

  14. I'm looking for have Standard Package installed for my car. Anyone got any lobang?
  15. Saw it when I send my car for 1k servicing. It is inside tampines industrial park The film is called A-cool i think It like 380 for a saloon car and 580 for SUV I think. Claims to be using USA Solar films and has 10 years warranty. Saw them doin the film in an special room. Anyway tried it before? Any comments
  16. I am looking for solar film that has extreme tinting near LTA limit of VLT 25% as well as maximum heat rejection (high 90%s). If you think I shouldn't go for their Premier Package, tell me and tell me now From what I read, most here would recommend V-Kool. But from their website their dark tinted package specs weren't too appealing. Either too low a IR rejection rate or VLT % too high.. or are there more packages than is listed on their webby? Also considering Huper Optik but still others say its ceramic based and not as good at heat reflection compared to metallic based solar films. Appreciate any input.. Thanks!!
  17. Hi guys, besides V-Cool what other brand is good & not so "X". i call up V-cool they told me their product cost from $950-$1200 for a 2000cc car. What do your think?

  22. All of you who think the Verna/Accent looks yucky... Take a look at the 3 door SE hatchback targeted for end of 2006.... Of course. Hyundai jazz up the model with lots of cool extras... But it's supposed to be a 1.8 or 2 L turbo-charged .... Plenty of horses inside. Check out the cool exhaust and the illuminated interior dials.

  24. Hi, anyone using SunCool as their solar film now? Never really heard about it, only hear about the usual VKOOL, NANOLUX Any comments about it? Thanks.
  25. My forum friend overseas told me this, how true is his advice?? " ............So cooling an engine may not be as exciting a subject as forced induction or high compression but it definitely should be looked at for improvement. Stock radiators ...... can use some help. Especially if you plan to use the (car) ...in any type of motorsports event. It can only help in the reliability and longetivity of the engine. It used to be fine when I was running a 2.2L-2.4L engine but I would still notice the temps go up when racing it. I started using the heater to assist in cooling. Switching over to a 2.0l really started to push the cooling system to it's limits and I would find myself flipping on the heater to help things out. At the time, we were running brand new OEM radiators and a 2 pass oil cooler. We decided to change things. I wished I switched over to my current setup years ago - a 2 row 2 and 3/4inch aluminum radiator by Griffin and a 6 pass permacool engine oil cooler. I am not running a fan shroud. If I felt I needed one I would have fashioned one but the the temp. stays at normal operating temp and so far I have not seen it rise up in temps. Even on a hot day with stop-and-go street traffic. It's been working good when seeing high revs as well as I barely see a rise in temps when pushing hard. Anyone else running aluminum radiators or engine oil cooler or both? There is another thing that I credit in helping the cooling situation...the addition of a front air dam definitely improved in the amount of air passing through the radiator. ..........." What is a 2 row 2 and 3/4inch aluminum radiator by Griffin and a 6 pass permacool engine oil cooler??..... anyone know??? Many thanks
