I cannot comment on OCS / SISPEC but I find that it is almost impossible for anyone to fail a vocational course in the SAF. There are people who get OOC because of injury but I have never heard of anyone failing due to sheer incompetence. Is my observation correct or have anyone come across people who were so out of their element they actually got the boot? While we are on this topic, is it true that the most CMI officers end up as RP or MTO?

Just wondering,deeply wondering, in this economic downturn,pple, or rather uniformed staff are send to western countries for a 2 week course. fully sponsored,photos to suggest if there's any value add to the course. All I see are wine testing/some forest activities day and night,bonding sessions/sushi and western dining. All participant are wearing crab and pints on their shoulders,whereas ground staff hardly gets to attend courses,not to even mention courses like this. Hi, I'm been looking for Psychology course to go for. looking for those post grad Dip or Specialist Dip course. No need Masters or Bachelor level. I'm already a Hons Biz degree holder. Feel like taking up some Psychology course for self improvement and to understand human behaviour Post grad Dip or Specialist Dip duration like 10-12 months will be good enough. Part time. I saw this organisaton "Academy of Certified Counsellors".. think they are in Park Mall. Are they good? http://www.certifiedcounsellors.org What's the diff between Applied Psychology, Business Psychology, Counselling Psycological, Clinical Psychology? I think Applied Psychology or Business Psychology is more applicable to me. Other schools will be: SMA Aventis School of Mgt (City University of New York) www.aventis.edu.sg I'm not trying to be a qualified licensed Psychologist in the future. I just want to learn more abt human psychology so that i can understand how people think in the mind and deal with people better in workplace. I always feel that there's alot of stuff to learn abt human behavior. though i dun need to be a licensed Psychologist, but i also need to make sure the school that i'm going to is a reputable and recognised one in the field of Psychology. any advise?

The Mass Communication Department of Providence University opened the course this semester, reports United Daily News. To pass the course, students must give a 15 minute presentation in which they analyse an audience's psychological reaction to a porn clip from an academic perspective. One worried student, who did not wish to be named, commented: "If I get a very good score in this course, I don't know how I'll explain it to my parents." When registering for the voluntary course, students signed a paper agreeing that if the scenes were too explicit, they could choose to leave the classroom The teacher, assistant professor Miss Chen Mingmei, said no students had ever left her class but some would briefly cover their eyes during the stronger scenes. More than 50 students registered for the course, and most of them confessed that they had watched porn videos before. Curiosity was given as the main reason for taking the course and most admitted their parents did not know what they were studying. Another student admitted: "I am really worried my parents will see the score report when it is mailed home. I won?t know what to say if I get a high score "However if I fail the course, I can speak to my parents and suggest that maybe I should watch more porn."

plan to attend entry level diver course, do a serch in the web, 2 theory sessions, 2 pool sessions, 2 whole day open water sessions cost around $400+ in different diving centers. But not sure which one is better, can any brothers and sisters here share the experience? compare with diver course + travel package ( redang, perhentian, phi phi etc), which one is better? Thanks

In 1999, I used to attend a car maintenance/repair course conducted in a community center in Changi area. The course instructor was a seventy year old man and I think his name was Mr William Wong (or Mr. William Wan). He drove a 1984 Honda Accord then. Is there any similar course which touches on deeper technical details, in Singapore? Would be interested to attend.

Hey folks, got my new car for over a week liao. However, I'm really totally clueless on how to maintain it. When I open the bonnet everything just freaks me out. Dun dare to touch a thing. Do I need to refill battery water? How to refill brake fluids? How to pump/monitor my tyre? How to wash/detail my car? What to do when my tyre is punctured? ... and a million and one other questions. Is there a course I can attend to learn all these? Or is there a good book with lotsa pictures I can read? I would prefer some hands-on learning though.. Any suggestions?

I attended it and ADT Saved my ride........ .........and possibly my life too Was on the ECP, and part of the road was wet, considering it rained pretty heavily earlier. Going at a comfortable speed of ~80km/h :x in second lane. Out of the blue yonders, suddenly, this !#$@#%#$^& black merc, out of Lane 1 crosses out of his path into my lane, with me barely 15m away...knn.....instinctively, or taught, I jammed brake, and the ABS kicked in, giving my foot a nice reflexology....thoughts crossed my mind and in split second, I looked at my rear, making sure all was clear and swerved into lane 3, barely missing the butt of the @#%#%#%#@hole... man, it was EXACTLY like wat I learnt on Sat!!! Just before the ABS kicked in, my b@!!s were in my throat man but tk heavens all went well.....I modified the stunt a bit, as I managed AFTER the swerve to HORN and GLARE at the bugger...knn...lady driver..#@$#@#@%%#@ All I can say, is if not for the ADT, I would most have prolly jam-braked and slammed! However, all is diff now.....
