  1. Hi All, We are lookin' forward to collect pastel blue Aveo HB early next week forgoing our 'reverse sensor' and requested SE to exchange other avail accessories - this is what he offered us 'floormat' or 'solar film' or 'sunglass holder' - Personally I thot maybe changing 'black' door handle (to the same car body color or a Chrome shade) may look better on our pastel blue Aveo but SE says door handle comes in 'black' only ... Anybody has any suggestion ? is it advisable to paint it ? (get SA for some car paint ? ) or where can I get Aveo fitted Chrome door handle in Singapore ? Thanks

  12. I notice some cars come with an under carriage (engine bay area) cover. My guess is, it's purpose is for streamlining the air flow. However, I also notice a great number of cars without it. So, on the other hand, I am thinking if it is restricting air flow OUT of the engine bay ??
  13. Can anyone tell me if it is possibe to buy the screw for the air filter cover locally? I opened up the cover to take a look at the air filter and i lost one of the screws.
  14. Hi folks, Just thinking that some car has this plastic cover on top of the engine that made the engine compartment look nice and tidy, is it advisable to remove it. So that the engine heat is not contained within the small space. Will it cause other problem? Anyone try before?? Cheers
  15. They actually like it! plus its 75 kg lighter for each model over the earlier E39 series... In their words, "this time, design boss Chris Bangle and his team have crafted a more restrained sports saloon. All the key BMW design cues - kidney grille, double headlamps, 'Hofmeister' kink in the C-pillar - remain but have been re-interpreted. The overall look, though reminiscent of the 7-series, is cleaner, sleeker and sportier. As revealed, the new face of future BMWs has a sloping kidney grille and pointed, wrap-around headlamps giving a streamlined appearance. New engine mounting points allow for a lower bonnet, topped by the signature V-shaped contour running back to the A-pillars."
  16. Hi, i was thinking of getting those metallic looking sheer covers for my new ride. I'm thinking it might protect the car from the glaring sunlight and bird poo and rain which also leaves water marks on the car after the rain. Any recommendations for a relatively good one and the place to buy?

  21. i found out yesterday that there seems to be a missing connection (prolly some kind of tube) betwwen the cam cover and the airbox of the carburatted engine in my 73 celica...... went to part shops and was told they don't keep stock for 73 model no more any bro here know what sort of substitue pipe/tube i should use? the position of the outgoing(male) hole from the cam cover and incoming(female) hole into the airbox is very oddly placed such that when i tried using a normal 15mm dia reinforced garden hose the curvature is too sharp to connect the two holes??? i need help btw, i actually have been driving the car since i bought the car 3 years ago and the engine runs ok..... should i really bother with this missing connection now? "if it ain't broke, dunt fix it"????
  22. Skodaman, you wrote: If SOG want to do it, I can help to organise, but will be cheaper if all decide on the same color. I will suggest RED as that will look more sporty. Okay this one u r more familiar... let us get an indication of how many Skodians here are keen. For non Skoda owners, just an overview for you, do join us if you have an engine cover under the front bonnet which you like it coloured. We intend to engage a spray painter to do for us at one go to have economies of scale... hence we can only decide one colour. Indicative interests (and colour prefered) 1. Skodaman (RED) 2. Fabiaman (RED also) 3. 4. 5. Note thsi is only indicative as the number of keen parties (more the better) is needed for Skodaman to negotiate for a better quote.
  23. Mine has turned yellow (not very bright) and thinking of replacing the front cover only. Is it available by itself? Where can I get it and what's the price like? Thanks.
