  1. Hi all, I've been seeing praises in the forum that the new JB CIQ at Woodlands is more efficient than ours. Those who like the processing efficiency of the new JB CIQ, probably due to less congestion and speedier processing. Of course, there is this issue of better security at SG side resulting in greater inconvenience. Are there better ways to improve efficiency without compromsing on security? Are we doing enough or overdoing the security check? Cast your vote. Thank you. Regards,
  2. Went JB this afternoon for my favourite Ba Kut Teh with a friend. Left woodlands checkpoint @ around 1245. Proceed to new CIQ building, on the way passby the old custom. I reach the place of makan v long then my friend arrive. He complained he was caught for illegal mods at the old custom. Police officer stopped him inside the old custom, telling him that his exhaust pipe is illegal. He is using fujitsubo with cert by LTA. explained to the office but was rejected, reason- singapore approve but not JB. He was issued a summon. He also has tinting which fails, both in SG n MY. While giving summon, he overheard another police officer who stopped a RX8 telling the driver..."sir, your rim is too shiny....." OMG.... i guess PI stream with privacy glass would start to face problem again over in JB if these officers some catching without proper reason. IF JPJ were to catch SG cars with illegal mods, i hope LTA would also ban MY wiras with milo tin...
  3. Hi, any one knows any longbang to make custom-made cashcards? thanks....
  4. I'm thinking of making new fenders (the panel above the wheel), so that vents can be added. Any forumers have done it before / know of any shop that does a good job at a reasonable price? Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
  5. Hi Bro, thought of fabricating a custom meter hood out of fiber material to fit 6 defi meters. I would most probably follow up by cubic printing the said meter hood and it would be placed on the dashboard. Any recommendations of a shop in SG that would do the honours? Thanks...
  6. Such beggars can be found too on road before the custom checkpoint at JB. Along Jalan Imbi in KL, there's a guy with a horrific looking open leg wound sprawled out at the bottom of the pedestrian footbridge linking to Berjaya Times Square. There's a piece of newspaper with some coins and ringgit notes on it, probably to entice generous Malaysians and other passer-bys to make some kindly contributions. I was wondering then how one could allow such a wound to fester and not do anything about it. I also thought it strange that with such a tempting wound, there were no flies buzzing around. NOW I know why and how! Everything is CRYSTAL CLEAR! So the next time you visit a pasar malam or elsewhere, do not allowed yourself to be fooled by these con-artists! material - red ink, cotton pad, white glue, tooth pick (tiny sticks). cotton wool, if no red ink you can use animal blood Use white glue to create the wound surrounding wait for the glue to dry Use tooth pick to create the wound area Use a dishwasher pad to spread the extra glue Use little drop of red ink to create the outside scratched area When dry, use cotton pad with red ink (not too much) to strengthen the surrounding scratched area Use tooth pick to spread the glue to create the broken skin Use red ink to put at the inside of the glue Some place with more and some with less ink to make it look more real. Wait to dry finished I wouldn't mind paying him the $20 for such good con artistry !
  7. Anyone customize their door panels for speakers etc? Any photos? Where can it be done?
  8. My friend got caught just now around 5pm for using a remote to control the fuel needle.. Anyone know wats the Fine like?? he was ask to go back 1 hr later and wait for TP/LTA letter...
  9. 1. For those that used the uphill motorway that lead to the SG custom in Woodlands upon enetering JB, did you realize that many cars simply ignore the queue on the right hand side and zoom all the way to the entry point at the custom? 2. The converging lane on the left supposedly is meant for motorcyclists but many cars usually like to hijack on this lane and cut queue infront. 3. I really dispise these people. Just imagine if everyone did the samething, what will happen? I'm surprise that trip after trip, the custom and TP don't seem to be bothered at all. Regards,
  10. Went in yest noon time . Bad traffic jam at Malaysia custom. Saw the usual custom cordon off ? anyone here knows for how long ? permanent ?? See the people queue quite long too
  11. This morning, on my way to jaybee around 1130am.. 'witness' a accident from my rear view mirror.. Saw a car turning out of its lane to the motorbike lane without checking!! 2 motorbike at its side.. One of them siam to the right and avoid the car.. The other motorbiker was not so lucky. The bike who avoid the accident stopped about 30m behind my car to catch his breath.. Could see him a bit shaky.. The unlucky one, i could not see coz the accident is around 250 - 300m away.. But i know the car definitely hit the biker.. coz the driver(a lady) and the passenger (a guy) quickly got out of their car.. A few other drivers near the point of accident also get down from their car to help.. Wonder if any bros here also witness the accident(meaning closer to the accident point).. I am too far away to see clearly.. And is the biker alright??
  12. Here is an account of what i had encountered when im on my way into JB at ard noon time: (PS: note this is not a complaint thread, just an awarenss thread. Although i do dislike the 'said' driver ) There is a slight jam over at the bridge leading to SG custom, so i was in the queue almost reaching the end of the bridge. Just then, a Black Suzuki Swift (not Sports version) SG*2646* jumped queue few cars infront of me! Okay, after that we were in the 2 'individual' lanes, seperated by Double White Lines (That Suzuki Swift and mine were on the left lane), he then cut to the next lane infront of a Lexus (causing that poor driver to jam brake). The next thing, i saw 1 police officer (who is holding a small note pad), walk towards the SS and jot down his plate number. That officer then 'signal' him to wind down his window (passenger side), and i saw from my rear mirror that they had an argument, last i saw the SS driver (male in his late 20s with passenger) came out of the car n argue with the officer Finally something was done to those who cut queue n disobey rule (double white lines), BUT i really do hope something could be done to those who cut queue on purpose over at the bridge leading to SG custom. Anyone knows what is the offence for crossing Double White Lines??
  13. Heard there was a 100 screening when coming back to sg at woodland. those who buy hoon kee, cook duck, chicken all got fine. anyone was there yesterday?
  14. Received this warning from my friend through e-mails and would like to share with all members here. "Better b safe than sorry.... his face already looks like want to kena punch !!! Hello, this is from my friend...he saw the guy twice. Pls share this info with ur friends. Thanks. Please be careful when you are taking bus back to Singapore at JB customs. There is a Malay guy who goes around stealing wallets while people are not aware. He was caught red-handed few weeks ago. But he managed to escape in the end because nobody wanted to help the victim to catch him. Last week, I saw the same Malay guy again and followed him. I saw him changing his waiting line between bus lane no. 170 and 950 and never went up the bus. He tries to steal the wallet when people push each other to go into the bus or while queuing up. I have snapped his photo in the attached (not very clear but you still can see his face). Please be careful if you see him at JB custom. Maybe you can punch him first before he steals your wallet. Please forward this email to your friends who are working in Singapore and warn them." Had not been to the JB custom to take bus for ages but it is better to warn others of the male malay lurking at JB custom.

    Bl**dy SGP custom

B4 drove into M'sai, I top up $30 in Tampines, however, when I arrived at checkpoint, just below 1/2 tank. KNNBCCB,the custom stopped me. I had whole family in car. I showed my top up $30 petrol, but stupig idiots still don't give chance. Make my whole family waited & asked me how big cc is my car. KNNBCCB, Innocently & honestly I told him my is 2.4litre. I should have told the idiots it is only 1.6litre. I supposed bigger cc kenna more fine (Now high petrol price) Guess how much I kenna fined! $300 dollars on the spot! KNNBCCB, even I produced receipt of just top up $30 in tampines.............. Was determined not to let bl**dy idiot custom spoiled my driving trip, I paid fine $300, U-turn to top up full tank.... and just enjoyed my holidays , eat good food in M/sia & shopping.... Advise, bro, please make sure you hv at least 3/4 tank.............good luck
  17. They too free or what? I'm not in a good mood at that time and while existing, ask me to go into the lot and check on my car. Not 100% check. Guess what the first thing they ask? 3 of them. HOw much you bought your car? You done up nicely lei. Please open your bonnet, boot, wind down all 4windows. They darn screwed up. Close my bonnet so hard. They jus at high let it come slam down. They're jus too free wana waste my time. Btw, i'm not driving a expensive car. It jus a common car which every sec can be spotted. They might as well ask me to stop and chit chat. Mis-used their authority.
  18. Hi all does anyone knows where i can find customise spark plug cable service??? or repair service.... need to get one of my cable's socket(plug to distributor cap) replace as it is broken. pls do not advice me to buy as this set of cable cost over $400 brand new....
  19. Above incident happened while I was in my sis's car. Last Saturday (26/May/07 @ about 345pm), while we will driving towards the woodlands custom, there was a heavy traffic jam. We were driving at the 2nd lane, out of a sudden, a JB car (think is Jeep) appeared very closely to our car, was at the 3rd lane (which was meant for bus/lorry lane), trying to swift in abruptly into our lane (No signal light from them). We sounded the horn non-stop to alert the driver but he chose to ignore. When the front vehicle (in front of us) moved, my sis also moved & that JB driver at tat time also drove into our lane (totally ignored our car) and hence it collided with my sis car and causes her side mirror to swift towards the driver door and also leaves long scratches (about 90 cm). After custom clearance, we stopped and fingered pointed at each other (I knw we shouldnt hve did tat, should keep calm). He then said we can by all mean go and claim his insurance. We exchanged particulars with the help of the CISCO officer at the custom. My sis had made a police report as well as insurance report. Per the car workshop ppl, if we involved with foreign vehicles, a third-party claim was not possibly. How can we bear this grievance and let him go scotfree just like that? Hope someone here, be able to give us some advice...are we able to sue him...? Or what other way to make that JB driver pay for his ruthless / reckless / igorant / arrogant....
  20. Harlow, I am new to this forum so nice to meet all of yah. I was reading some Car magazines at Popular Bookshop the other day. The Foreign Magazines have advertisments for Custom-made Car rims. The local magazines only have dealers and imported rims. I've a few questions I hope you guys out there can enlighten me. 1st: Any of you know if the LTA/ Traffic Police have sum regulations on the design and type of rims that Cars in Singapore can use? As far as I can see, the LTA website has a pretty general ruling about it. Thats all. 2nd: I've researched abit into rim manufacturing and customization. Its quite interesting. Besides the Big names and branded stuff out there. There seems to be no local dealers dealing in making custom rims locally. Although, its a nich business. Do you think Singaporeans are ready for the Custom era? Is there a market for Custom Sports/ Show Rims locally? 3rd: Do any of you know any local companies/ Car shops doing such custom rim business here in Singapore? Can recommend me? Much Apprieciate for you expert knowledge and views on the subject. Cheers

  24. All MCFers, I start this thread anew bcos I want to hv a focused discussion. Think many of us had enuf of Sh$t from these arse-hols. Tinted windows, unstamped passports, etc etc. Now what can we do. How about installing some camera device in our cars or such to video some of their actions with audio conversation. And then post them worldwide.
