As with cars , it is normal to service them elsewhere instead of going back to agents after the warranty expires. so what about diesel vans ? just asking

Sorry for my noob question. Searched the forum but did not find any convincing answers. Can diesel powered vehicles like renault kangoo, opel combo, etc use light weight oils in order to improve FC?? Diesel prices have been rising too in case you dont notice.....

Diesel engines are known to provide better power, fuel efficiency, and lower pollution; yet Singapore still do not encourage Diesel Car in Singapore??? Hope after the criticism on the Straits Times the other day, the government should seriously consider to review thier policy.

Started my car today after not driving for 3 days. Had some dificulty in starting it. Could have been because of the battery. Open up my boot while the engine is running and found loud rattling noise that sounded like a diesel engine. What could have gone wrong? I just went for my 5k servicing not long ago. Could it also had been a long unnoticed problem?

Hi all, Been trying to find information about the above. Essentially, gahmen supposed to be re-looking at its diesel car policy. New here, just discovered the forum! I did a search for diesel on the forums and came up with a few interesting discussions. Primarily, I'm interested to find out if this 6x road tax policy is still in place? I drive and have been driving diesels over here in the UK and I don't think I'd ever want to go back to gas (well unless I strike the lottery and can get a SERIOUS performance car). If/when I go back to SG, I'm wondering if I'll be able to take a diesel back with me? BTW, what *is* the annual road tax in Sg these days anyway? Alternatively, how about buying a diesel in My and importing that, will that work? What are the implications of that? Cheers for any responses!

appreciate any input from u guys on this... going to be driving a rented toyota diesel landcruiser for a few days in Perth. have never driven a diesel car, let alone know what's the diff bwt tt and petrol cars. can anyone advise wat's the diff and if there is anything I shd know or look out for ? my main concern here is safety and reliability cos will be driving to quite far out places eg some vine yards and wife and son will be with me... BTW why are there so few diesel cars in Singapore ... are they no good or something ?? thanks...

Parked my 5 day old G9 at my workplace today and discovered streaks of what seemed like black diesel oil all over the car. Possibly because my office is next to an army transport camp. Tried removing with some car wax but not very effective. What type and brand of cleaner would you guys recommend ? A bit heart pain. Thks very much.
