noticed the Civic FD1.8 engine from PI max Power is 138HP @6300rpm http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/10332.php, but KM same model is 140HP @6300rpm http://www.honda.com.sg/civic_spec.htm and PI price is abt 15k cheaper than KM one[:/] can any1 enlighten me what gimmick hide behind? thanks alot

Hi, Can someone explain to me what are the differences between Sunny 1.5 and VIP 1.5. Seem to me that VIP is more expensive than Sunny. Are both car using the same spare part. To me, interior wise both cars look the same except the meters. Outlook wise, Sunny is more sporty. Thanks

I am thinking of upgrading the audio system in my car. I do not want to go overboard but simply to make the sounds a little more bassy and overall more clearer. Right now...i have this stock SONY single load disc HU which even when switched to full for bass/treble/mid/etc still feel a little weak for the stock speakers. (btw i only having 2 front speakers) My confirmed upgrades will be a pair of component speakers and a compact sealed enclosure type mini-subwoofer (like the Pioneer TS-22A). What i am not sure is whether a budget of less den $500 will get me a headunit that will make a difference to the quality and power of the sound thru the new component speakers or not. Cos if its the lack of power, den i guess i am better off buying a small 2 channel amp to boost the existing HU. So now dunno whether i need to install an amplifier or change the Headunit.

Hi, My ride is Aveo5 (2005). Recently I have replaced the stock HU with Sony CDX-GT550 and added disc changer. I noticed there is a significant difference in sound quality and clarity when I played music CD in the HU and in the Disc changer. Music played from HU always sounds better than from Disc changer. I am using similar CD and equalizer profile when playing from HU and from disc changer. Is my observation above normal or is there a problem with the disc changer? -
What's the difference between the these 2 Synthetic oil? Both are '40' rating. Blue one costs $35. Red ones costs $29.

One is a Lancer 2.0M The other is a EVO8 MR 2.0 I saw the 2.0M today, and at first I thought it was a Lancer 1.6 modified to look like a EVO as the engine note did not sound like that of a EVO. Sounds like N.A. with no turbo. Could it be a Parallel Import car? What brand of petrol do you pump? And why? Some of my friends swear by Mobil. Others prefer Shell etc. Is there really a difference between these brands as long as I am using the same grade? Or more importantly, can you feel the difference? Or is it all in the mind?

Purchased the following Soft99 synthetic wax from Concorde (discount cos no cover, paid &14 instead of $22) and tried it on my car today. http://www.soft99.co.jp/en/products/detail/4/390 . Shines and smells like EGP but in wax form. As I await to see the durability of this product, does anyone have any experience with synthetic wax? How does it differ from a synthetic sealant? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Tonight I did wash,clay and apply KIZZ. When I applied KIZZ, i can't see any difference. sian.... now the exterior looks a bit cloudy (am I putting too much?.) I put like 3-5 drops on the sponge included for each panel, I can see the minor swirl too...... no difference before and after application...... Tomorrow going to do SRP,sealant - FUSSO 9 mths and FUSSO wax....hope can clear the slightly cloudy problem

heard sometime ago that left tyre and right tyre are different in pattern (to form a symmetry or something). i just changed my tyre but i found all of them have exactly the same pattern. not sure if it's right or not... my tyres are michelin pilot preceda (195/55/R15). the tyre pattern is something like this: -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] so now my car top view looks like this: REAR -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] FRONT is this right? thanks.

Will a 185/65r15 weigh lesser than a 205/45r17? I know bigger tires generally mean more weight, but will the reduction in profile counter that?

Hi The recommended tyre pressure for my car is 220psi. I believe that this is the pressure when the wheel is cold. However, the wheels are normally warm when I pump the tyres. Therefore, pumping in 220psi when the wheels are warm may not be equal to 220psi (in fact lesser right?) when they are cold. What is the pressure difference could it be? Is there a rule of thumb method to compensate for the difference in the temperature when pumping the tyres? Or the difference is so little that we don't have to bother... ;-p

After my 10K servicing, there is a slight difference in the performance of the car I'm driving...before, I used to be able to stay at 2000 rpm for speed of about 90km/h during expressway driving...now, its about 2500 rpm. 5W40 oil was used for my 10K servicing...
