  20. hi bros..... was thinking hard on where to post tis topic , but decided to post it here cos come to think it . its japan who really start the ball rolling . Its DRIFTING i can guess that most of us, car lover here had watch intial D , even its not the original manga (COMIC) , but still i can bet that at least most of us did catch the movie who feature Jay Chow as the lead actor driving the old toyota sprinter , beating the hell out of a 380hp RX7 , 400++hp evo , or 200SX . look unbelivable ? well not really , it is true and a fact that while going dwn hill horse power differences is greatly minimise which means as long as the HP of the car is ard 160hp-190hp the moment when going dwn hill it is still on parf with even a 500 horses car , which means to say that its up to the skill of the driver on both tuning and driving , drfting had been quite popular for the past recent yrs. years ago after watching the cartoon version of intial D , i have since fall in love with drifting , i been trying hard to save for my dream drift car (due to family commitment and practical choice , im driving a 03 civic now) , but thats not gg to make me give up my DREAM EVER !!! i'm sure 1 day i can get my dream car , but then here come the big let down i have jus recently read up on a drifting news update saying that drifting is not mean for fast speed racing WHY!!! ok wait!!! i do noe that todays drift racing mostly make up of point system which is judge by how well the car can perform the most beautiful drift , how close the car can get near the wall without knocking in a drift Bla bla bla.... and i thought y they nv actually compete each other jus like the F1 did is bcos the tire cannot get them thru the whole lap ( as the rear tire burn out real fast) , nv did i expect that the real ans is bcos , the best and fastest way to race is not to drift at all , get in the corner get in fast get out fast win the race . is it true? or maybe fellow bro here are able to enlighten me ? by the way im actually trying to get my hands on a S13 or a IS200 , anyone noe how well can the car perform any driver here ? i heard that out of S13 S14 S15 , S14 under perform in tis 3 model is it true ? any drifting old bird can pls share ur experience with me ? thanks...
  21. Okay. This was what happened. I was travelling back from Ang Mo Kio towards Novena by bus. In this case, the bus travelled by Marymount (near mediacorp) towards thomson (near old police academy). In between marymount and thomson there's this slight right bend near the old chij toapayoh primary school. Luckily the bus was travelling slowly or else omg, and there was this OPC Metallic Grey Subaru Rex with plate of SGUXXXX if im not wrong, and He was cutting the bend using the middle lane at probably a speed of 70 - 80 km/h (estimated).without even braking before entering the bend. At first it looks so damn cool , he was NO DOUBTS drifting at an angle of 40 - 50 degrees on singapore roads eating the 1st and 2nd lane. Just as about he was to exit the corner, he just lose it due to traction lost and cause the floor was pretty wet. After losing it, he spins 360 degrees 2 rounds eating first 2 lanes, and the last spin happens between the 2nd and 3rd lane. After that, he continues to spins slowly for another few times at the 2nd and 3rd lane. Thank god there was no pedestrians near the pathway nor cars on your left or right side. And thank god you're fine and your new car doesnt even have a scratch. If there was any pedestrians around, i bet they'll be in a traumatic shock state. i was ing all the way from you start to drift to you end your spins. Please drive safetly and brake before you enter the bend, even tho Rex is a 4WD car. I bet no car can overcome natural forces of God. It happened at approximately 4.00pm. Are you here OPC SGU Grey Subaru Rex. I bet that was a lifetime experience for your case.
  22. jus sharing..surf upon this in youtube.. but the CGI for the movie looks really bad..haha
  23. Basically, what is happening is that there will be a media briefing at the stated time below, followed by official opening by Guest of Honor: Minister of Health. The event organizer is Wheels for Fun, but I am running the drift segment on my whole along with other fellow drifters. I will be happy to give rides to MCF'ers. Date : Saturday, 29 September 2007 Website : www.bcf.org.sg Time : 9.30am to 6:00pm Venue : Ulu Pandan Camp Site, 100 Ulu Pandan Road, Singapore 596471 The drift is one of various events such as Island-wide driveaway treasure hunt that will be going on that day. However, drift is probably the main portion of the event. After every demo, we will also be doing for taxi rides. All proceeds go directly to Breast Cancer Foundation. After the event, the Pink Ribbon Boxes will then be placed at numerous retail outlets throughout the month of October. Each Pink Ribbon costs $2.00. Breast Cancer Foundation is a cause the Binter firmly believes in and I hope that you would be able to provide the appropriate support.
