  2. Hi guys. need to to check which is better...? when you are in stationery or approaching the traffic lights.. do you leave your gear knob on "Drive" or "Neutral" I heard that if you shift to "Neutral", eventually you will spoil your Gear Box. But I also heard that if you leave it at "Drive" you are stressing the engine and the brake system...? so which is true..? please enlighten me
  3. Today, I started my day in a happy happy mood - I had the car to myself for a nice relaxing drive to work, Punggol to Bedok. Can take my time, listen to the radio and generally chillout. No wifey to nag, no rush, no need to drop kids to school and no need to squeeze on MRT. Then it started. That's why I posted in L&E instead of Cars - because I wasn't bamn freaking driving, I was in the hell of purgatory. A slight jam to enter the TPE - no problem, methinks, I will be in the right lane all the way - no need to worry about the congestion at the KPE exit, or the jam at Avenue 7 or the queue cutters at Upper Changi. Boy howdy was I ever freaking wrong on that score. From Punggol Road, ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the mother freaking scum sucking syphilis ridden pus oozing way to Tampines Avenue 7 exit it was stop start traffic. Never got over 50km/h the whole way. What's wrong, methinks. Is it roadworks? Has somebody been turned into ketchup? Has the haze blocked everyone's view? How about Tinkerbell came and made a tree fall on the road? This traffic can't be normal. Somewhere around Tampines Avenue 10 - the radio announced that there was an accident on the TPE towards the SLE at Tampines Ave 7 - AHA! That's It. Blardy idjit angmoh maple leaf infected foreigner can't read!! He's just a little bit confusted. He's screwed up. The accident is towards the PIE not the SLE. That would explain it!! fark But no, as is apparent when I see the flashing lights, the accident is indeed towards the SLE. Immediately after the lights, I accelerate to 110km/h. The horrors!! I was speeding! What was the cause of the slowdown? Why did it take me 30 minutes to drive from Punggol Road to Upper Changi Road? Because of 4D playing farktards slowing down and looking at the accident! You wanna rubberneck? Do you know what I will do to you? I will cut off that appendage that men love to talk to you, I would say beat you senseless with it - but to do that you need some sense to less. Then I will replace it with a rubber appendage. One that will never get hard. the best thing about this is that your genes will be removed from the general population. People like you are worse than the bottom dwelling parasites that feed on scum sucking -infected pusstules on the arse-end of a dung beetle. You can all take a long walk from a very short pier. You are the worst of the worst. Keep your stupid, moronic, idiotic, thick-witted, unintelligent, squirrely, bird brained, hare brained, fatuous, imbecelic, batty, asinine, inane, daft, daffy, foolish driving off the road your tosstard! that will be all Thankyou
  4. Hi Bros, I have a hypothetical question and it goes like this. Usually after servicing my car at a certain workshop, the mechanic would take the car for a test drive to see if there are any problems with the car after servicing. So what happens if: 1) During test drive, something else breaks down after servicing? (eg. radiator pipe burst, suspension noise starts to appear, tyre kenna nail puncture, etc.) 2) During test drive, the mechanic met with an accident with my car and my insurance doesn't cover him? Who is gonna pay for the damages? Appreciate your valuable advice/comments. Thanks.
  5. Hi to everyone We had a drive-up in the previous year [4/7/2010] to Sim Koa Yen Durian Farm "SKY". * reference : http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showto...2382&st=200 [from post #210 onwards] Now we are planning a drive-up for Jun
  6. As above... For me, it just cant be asian brands somehow, except Lexus. The quality of the finishing of most asian made cars are just boring, filled with cheap plastic. They do try to spice things up here and there. But most of them really look cheaply made. In fact some new models look real cheaply made in the interior, whatsmore when it's 8,9,10yrs old. But this is just me. I love the Lexus, certain mercs and present Jaguar range. So qn is, what can one do to improve the love for one's car and have less of an itch to change it after 3-5yrs. Here are some of my ideas: - Change the leather to a significantly good quality one with customised design - Fresh coat of paint or do wrap I'm not into zhng car. So not really into adding muffler or performance enhancers. Pls share!
  7. I came across this mural at Holland Drive Market Food Center. It is meant to celebrate Hawker Centers in Singapore for SG50, which is a good idea. However, the mural just looks rather odd, in my humble opinion. What do you think? You can see a still photo. I also made a short video of it. https://youtu.be/IlKE0KcWhUA
  8. Saw this on fb https://www.facebook.com/gilbertcheah/posts/10153322668121900?pnref=story Guys, do you like people taking photos of your car? How do you feel when people take photos of your car?

  12. Surprised this was not discussed in MCF since we have Ferrari and Maserati in the picture. I have "donated" many times to top up the shortfall as failure, according to my kids, is not an option. Donation should be voluntary and best effort, think MOE should not allow schools to hide behind this get out of your comfort zone argument. https://doc-0s-6s-docs.googleusercontent.com/docs/securesc/ha0ro937gcuc7l7deffksulhg5h7mbp1/tnse3eibc1hrk6sr0l3q5ttv96hogj26/1429056000000/00863412894456763530/*/0B92zAtVEUwlmcHdvMnc1aml3UGZKcWhKMWNYLUVmVU1SYnNN?e=download

  20. Hi guys any story/experience to share driving in other asian countries/cities other than MALAYSIA? Let me share mine first, since I am relatively young, I have driven in Thailand and Indonesia before, driven car friend in bkk for half day only but was unlucky as traffic really jam. Drive around the sathorn area as well as sukhumvit area 3-4 years back in his CRV. Really pain in @ss driving in bkk as had to wait long in traffic light. Then in indonesia i have driven before in Surabaya, Bali and. Batam before through car rental. In Bali it was challenging as roads very narrow and gps somehow brought me to small road for one car only for shortcut BUT that road is for 2 ways. So when there is oncoming car, I had to keep the most left, ask my gf to check out left side of the car and then i fold the mirror, think left and right less than 15cm! Then also managed to drove to kintamani mountain for 3-4 hours drive from the denpasar city. Its tiring but fun Then in Surabaya, i rented an Innova and went to Taman Safari Prigen about 1 hr drive from the city. The fun part is that the safari is like jurassic park, lions and other animals is at ur car window as we drive in to see those animals using our own cars. Unforgettable experience indeed. Think if u watch one of the Running Man episode in Indonesia, its exactly the same. U can feed some herbivores food by opening ur window slightly. Its fun! Last but not least in Batam, rented a car drive to barelang bridges. Not much experience but fun part is when u cross the first bridge. Then i think in 4th or 5th island drive through viets village. Thats all about my Asia Driving experience
  21. just curious, any countries which allow both left and right handed cars on its roads ?
  22. Hi all, am new to this site. Is there anyone here whom have contacts to purchase left hand drive cars? Commission will be split accordingly.
  23. An automated multi-storey car park at the Club Street. The struggle for parking amid a growing carpark crunch in Singapore's congested CBD means that a sizeable portion of the estimated 200,000 professionals based there choose not to drive to work. Although he owns a car, Mr Seah Chee Koon, 35, prefers to take the train from his Jurong East home to his office in the Central Business District (CBD). "I don't see the need to drive to work. It is too expensive," said Mr Seah, who works in the banking industry. He spends about 45 minutes commuting each way. The struggle for parking amid a growing carpark crunch in Singapore's congested CBD means that a sizeable portion of the estimated 200,000 professionals based there choose not to drive to work. The parking situation is likely to get worse. Going by a transport masterplan released last week, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) expects the CBD parking supply to "gradually decrease over time as older buildings make way for newer buildings".
