Anyway im going to get my Mazda3 1.6 Sports Package(auto tranny)soon, and i would like to find out if installing a C.A.I(coldairintake) would void the manufacturer's 3yrs warrenty? i know it is street legal but not sure if it will void the warrenty. u guys could help me all the way by also telling me where to get the CAI from and also the average price for eg. an AEM CAI or a reliable one. Need a reliable shop lah, scared kanna become robert-head. As for the K&N air filter, is it a better combination to have it with the CAI? 5. I notice that after every 2-3 weeks when I go to the petrol station to check my tyre pressure, there is a drop of about 10-15 Kpa on all tyres. Normally, I check the pressure in the morning (almost same time always). Everytime, the tyre start to inflate from around 230 to the set pressure of 245. Is this normal or there is something wrong with the tyre and rim ? FYI, my previous car did not have this problem.
  6. To help your S/V40 breathe better, you can consider installing the following K&N Drop-in filter: Part number 33-2763 Available from: Mr Lau HP: 97281230 Box
  7. Dads who want to savour the joys of open-air motoring but have been deterred by the cabriolet's lack of space can now rejoice: the new Mercedes Benz CLK Cabriolet has arrived and best of all, it is a full four-seater, top up or down. As with many recent Mercedes Benz designs, the CLK scores in the looks department. Top up or down, the cabrio looks smart, stylish and racy and the German carmaker says it boasts the best aerodynamic performance (Cd of 0.30) in the segment. Also, it has the largest boot, at 390 litres, when the soft-top is raised. And of course, the transformation from being topless to soft-top is fully automatic, the cover-up achieved in 20 seconds. CLK's range of engines, all fitted with Kompressors, begin with the 1.8 and then goes to the 2.4, 3.2 and tops off with the 5-litre. There is also the AMG version, with 5.5 litres (V8) and this produces 367bhp and a whopping 510Nm of torque. The CLK is fitted with rain sensing wipers, Touchshift gearbox, head/thorax airbags which deploy within 20 milliseconds following a side impact, and roll-over protection in the form of pop-up rollover bars which sprout up on command from sensors. Impressed? Here is a gallery of pictures to get you all excited.
  8. i have just switched to a drop-in sponge type HKS airfilter for my Airtrek...... mechanic told me actually sponge no doubt gives good air flow into the engine, but may not be suitable for road use...... he only uses it for track and replace with new one after every track session??? ...... also heard if the sponge elements break up and get blown into the engine, the sensors may be covered by it and mulfunction.... true or not???? Any advice will be much appreciated....... Thanks

  10. Hi Guys, Does K&N drop-in air filter (or other similar brands) improve turbo engine's performance???....or most stock air filter in factory turbo cars good enough??? cheers
  11. Yo bros, Does having some high-powered ICE eqpt (about 1000W rms) cause significant increase in fuel consumption? IMO, shouldnt be the case as the alternator is constantly supplying power to the car so long the engine is running. Might be the additional weight of the eqpt that bogs down the car more. Any comments on the abv reasoning?
  12. What could actually make oil level in your engine drop over time? Few things I can think of: 1) Oil leaking into combustion chamber via bad piston rings 2) Oil vaporising at increasing rate after breaking down 3) Oil thinning??? More ideas?
