In case you are not in the loop, or never pass by the above petrol kiosk today, there is a free tyre wear check done by Michelin tyres. It takes only about 5 minutes and you do not need to leave your car. After the check, you will get a goodie bag that have 4 tyre caps and a digital tyre gauge among other freebies like keychain, stickers, etc. They will check all your tyres pressure, and their inner and outer wear depth. This is good as it will allow you to know whether your tyres are inflated at the correct pressure, thus ensuring proper wearing and longer lifespan. Those who live nearby east coast especially can try lah. The event total actually span a few weekends at different petrol kiosk over the island. Can see some petrol attendants not very happy as the michelin staff just ushered the cars to the petrol pumps and do the check, even for those who never pump petrol. But they sure ar enthusiatic. Confirm no need to buy Michelin tyres for the event. The staff never once talk about the brand. They only talk about your tyres, like they are doing a public service. -

After reading the tread on cheap oils; I decided to take the plunge and got myself Car-lube from Giant. Going to do some normal servicing stuffs like. Plugs, oils, filters etc. Please recommend a good work shop in the east for a Subaru legacy. Thanks -

This couple was reportedly caught on camera stealing an iPhone. According to the girl whose iPhone was stolen, she had seen the couple at Far East Plaza. She was talking on her iPhone when the girl entered her shop to browse the items. In an e-mail to citizen journalism website STOMP, the sales lady said she placed her iPhone under the counter as she would normally do and went to serve her. When she returned to the counter, the phone was missing. The boy was caught the next day but the girl was released. The owner of the newly bought iPhone voiced her frustration at not being able to get it back as the boy claimed he had already sold it. This what she had to say: "I had only gotten the phone for 3 days. "The girl should be caught and punished."

I went to East Coast Mac (drive thr) last night abt 4am.... i parked in front of the Mac where there some lots. but when i abt to leave, a man ask me to pay for entrance charges($2.60)....but i saw no signage or what lei..any bro know is there any charges for that carpark?? anyway, i dun bother the man and drive off..

Hi all, My subarua got scratched by another car while making a turn in the housing estate. I stopped my car when i saw the car at the turn and the other driver just kept going. End up, SCRATCH ! The scratches ain't that deep but obvious damage to the paint job, front door and skirting. Anyway, any good respray working shop in the EAST? I stay in pasir ris, so looking for a decent and reasonable priced place to go. many thanks for your help!

This happened about 1/2 an hour ago (7.45 pm) at the junction of SengKang East Way and Compassvale Rd. my wife and i just crossed the junction (on foot) and hear a loud horn follow by screeching sound of the tires. i turn back and saw a black Mit EX braking hard trying to avoid a white sunny who is about to turn right. i dont know who has the right of way as this happened just too fast. Black Ex couldnt stop on time, swing towards the pavement where pedestrian usually stand to wait for the traffic and make a turn back to the rd and drive off. i am really impress by the EX driver reflexes how he avoid the sunny, go up the pavement and back on the rd again without hitting anything!! as i dont know how got the right of way at that moment, i shall not comment whether the Mit or the Sunny is right but just imagine if there was a group of pedestrian waiting at pavement, which is potentially me and my wife, i could not be typing this story now. its 7th month. pleaes drive safely. PS: to the Mit driver (if you do visit this forum), your reflexes is really fast as if you rehearse this many times!! very impressive and this is a compliment from me!!

heard our dragon son said they r considering building a new bridge at east side of spore to link wif Johore. Its great news for ppl at east side.....so much nearer to go top up petrol, hope toll is not too ex

Had to ebrake (bad timing) and my car front tires land right on top of the outer most white line towards the junction. I dun recall got flashlight or not, too tense! Will I get caught in the red light cam? Any have such experience?
