  1. Managed to pick up an application form for Esso Speedpass, which allows you to link to any credit card and to your existing Smiles card for points. Previously the attendant told me the only option for Speedpass was to apply with the DBS ESSO card. Question is, currently when you pay by Citibank cards, there is 14% direct discount, as opposed to the normal station discounts, so by linking the Speedpass to a Citibank card, will you still enjoy the 14% direct discount? I don't want to queue at the counter, yet I still want to enjoy the maximum discount that I'm currently getting, with my Citibank Dividend card.
  2. Hi all, as of 10am today, ESSO adjusted their price downwards by 2cents for RON95. I think other grades should have dropped by the same amount.
  3. Dear Distinguished bros and Sis of MCF..., I always notice that when I buy the Nasi Lemak after pumping petrol at Shell , quite a lot of it is sold out.. I dont really like the taste.. I buy it for my dad who loves it... What do you think? Is it nice? Most of them who buy it are drivers of S and E plate vehicles.. [rolleyes] The price.. No joke in terms of Malaysian context.. RM3 for the chicken one and RM2 for the egg , fish or mee hoon...
  4. Hi Brothers, Can anyone share when driving on N-S highway, exit skudai heading to woodlands checkpoint, is there any ESSO station that is along the way and near Checkpoint. Prefreably along the way and not having to detour and near checkpoint. If got GPS coordinates better.
  5. My first time washing my car at the cck esso next to ite on last sun. While in the Q I had already made payment as the washing bay is big enough for 2 cars to be washed at the sametime, so I am able to see the car in front how they wash. I'm Astonished to see that they uses the same sponge on the car body and the rim/tyre!!! I have been to spc n shell car wash and they uses a separate sponge n is inside a pail. As there is no way I could stop them I just let them proceed and after the washing, I politely asked the guy why he uses the same sponge as if there are sands on the sponge, you might scratch the body. I love his reply and that makes my day. "YOU WASH AT YOUR OWN RISK" Well ok I accepted that and that will b my first and my last visit to this car wash. So drivers take note.
  6. I learnt about this only after pumping esso petrol today. 10% using citibank dividend Extra 5% when you show your smiles card 5% citibank dividend rebate A further 2.5% when you exchange 750 smiles points for $30 petrol It all adds up to 22.5% discount. Promo ends 30 sep 2010
  7. Increase yr petrol prices and make a BIG U TURN within a day when others did not follow u. ESSO, U can be BIG but that deosn't mean U CAN BULLY. Time for our GARMENT to step in for all these UNFAIR PRACTISES. I will redeem all my points from both ESSO and CALTEX and byeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. Heard esso having 15% discount for Citibank cards to fight with SPC is that true?
  9. As topic,Esso currently have $4 dollar off on oil pump.Do anyone know this?
  10. Effective May 2010! Always thought esso has the best value in terms of discounts and especially their points compared to shell and caltex. Not anymore! This has been one of my main reasons for pumping Esso. Time to change brand? EDIT: Previously was 1 smile points for every $1.25 spent.
  11. Hi all, Just want to ask those who use citibank dividend card and pump at esso stations if they also use the esso mobil privilege card. Some say that there's additional discount but I don't know how it works lei. Normally I use the dividend card and get 14.5% (10% + 5% rebate off total bill). - Does esso mobil privilege card give additional discount? - Do I pay with dividend card or with esso mobil privilege card? - What's the best card to use for esso stations? Would appreciate if any esso users can share.
  12. Voucher available at Upper Bukit Timah Esso from cashier cos they closing for 2 weeks in May for Downtown line construction. Voucher is valid in several stations in CCK and Jurong Area. So those leaving in west can go down and get it ^^. Valid for May 2010 only.

The new Carpark Rates Guide brought to you by sgCarMart is back again. The latest edition of the Carpark Rates Guide comes with new locations that were missed out in the first edition, better navigation for quick reference and best of all it
  14. Am currently pumping Shell 98 for my Honda Civic since i got it 6 months ago. Principal reason to use Shell is cos its the nearest station to home. Recently, understand that Esso is having a bigger discount and am tempted to make a switch. I intend to continue pumping 98 if switching. Questions: (1) Is it bad for my car if I switch from using Shell to Esso? Some people tell me it is always better to stick to the same company. (2) If no, is there an ideal time to switch? e.g. when my tank is almost empty?
  15. Got these from Fairprice. As you know, I don't use much of petrol since I use fart gas for my car. I have currently 4. Want to give away 3. It is $2 off for every $50 spent for Esso Synergy fuel. Valid till 30 Apr 2010. Collect in Woodlands (after 6pm) or Science Park II (office hours). PM me.
  16. Understand the promo ended on 30 Nov 09, is there any extension for those who pump today and yesterday ?
  17. Hi, This is with regards to my Speedpass and DBS Esso Credit card. I do apply for the above when riding my bike. Recently, I bought a car and I discovered that the smiles point is not credited when I use the DBS Esso Credit card. Can I check; 1) Can I have my speedpass and DBS ESSO credit card configure such that it can earn smilies point for both my bike and car. Thank, any bros can advise

  19. was at Sengkang Esso last nite around 11pm. it was packed. every bay occupied and there were cars waiting. i then drove to Shell where there was not a single car in sight. in stark contrast to their promotion on 24 Oct.
  20. Can anyone let me know if Esso-Mobil giving out $2 voucher this month? Thanks
  21. Valid from 6 October 2009 to 30 November 2009, coupons available @ Esso stations. $2 off for every S$40 $3 off for every $55 $4 off for every $70 Additional 12% discount if paying with Citibank credit card.
  22. Esso now got promotion of $2 coupon? Anyone know? T & C?
  23. Just want to check with brothers here which CC gives discount with Shell, Caltex or Esso, thanks!
  24. I used to pump shell. No reason why, maybe because of its brand name and convenience as they have plentiful of stations everywhere. As I was trying to save a bit of $, and esso seems to give more discount with by citibank dividend card, I changed to esso. Surprisingly, I find that esso 95 is smoother and seems to give more power than shell 95. Anyone with similar experiences? I shared this with one of my colleagues and she told me that she thought the same as well, but refused to believe in it.
