  1. This car ad power or not? http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...937&DL=1000 Ridiculously funny ad i have ever seen, the advertiser must have been a man of powerful words haha.
  2. I have been looking out for cheap groupon deal for car servicing, mostly all around $50+. I think this should be the cheapest one around?! $38 for 4L X-Rev Engine Oil Change + Oil Filter + 21 Point Check Too bad i just go JB to do my oil change, and end up spending more than $38 to bring my own oil + filter to JB :( http://www.groupon.sg/deals/deals-near-me/...6377819/.Q4Pf4z X-Rev oil is fully synthetic some more, so this deal is better than buying car-lube from Giants, may be i should buy one groupon to keep since it valid till March 2013 http://www.x-lube.com/
  3. Sunday, driving home from Farrer Road . . . turning into Commonwealth Road side by side with a TP Subaru. Bugger cut into my lane and as usual my defensive driving kicked in instantly, slowed down and I missed hitting him in the side by a couple of inches and before I could stop meself, I honked him "PARP! PARP!" Drove up trying to look at driver in the eye but he gas up and zoomed away. NLH leh . . . don't ever let me see you again!

  10. I have one question:- SAF is using a kind of armoured+tracked tank-lookalike veh but the gun is small calibre ie maybe about 75mm, isn't such a "large" veh with small arm a waste of money while it's killing power is small yet as a target is too big for enemy to miss?

  13. First time came across the mentioning of this Act in the thread XXX good buddy CEO saw not stepping down...WTF & link: http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showtopic=2672570 mentioned by MCF bro Duckduck in post #02. In actual fact, we strongly suspect that this Act, which has no equivalence elsewhere in the entire planet & throughout 9 galaxies, has been in existence for quite a while but just that not much was mentioned officially. By definition & in all practical purposes, this is the single most powderful Act ever created and the Terrorism Act actually pales in comparison. In this Act, all mistakes minor and major will be classified as honest mistakes (hence giving it the name Honest Mistake Act or HMA) & the person or party making them will be forgiven without any reprimands nor penalties imposed. Not even a slap on the wrist-type of warnings will be issued. It's origin could be traced to the S$388m wrongly paid out to a local telco years back and the man himself called this an honest mistake then and urged all to move along. That we believe led to the creation of HMA henceforth. In recent years, the HMA seemed to have been invoked many times succesfully and likely to be enhanced even further in years to come. The latest train disruption fiasco is another prime example that this HMA will be used again so at the end of the day all will be forgiven and life goes on... Ho ho ho, merry Xmas everyone!!!! [laugh]

  17. Hi all, I suppose most Singaporean cars don't get to utilize to their max potential. For example, running at top speed, hitting max torque, endurance run at x hours continuously. Do you think you are getting every cents worth from your car ? or do you equate money worth with ride comfort...and spend most of the time alone in the car . Regards,

  19. So have you ever run out of petrol in Singapore? When / where / why / how? I have never run out in Singapore, I did run out once back home, I got lost in some back roads, old carby car ran out - hitch hiked to a petrol station and bought more. Share your stories here... This is prompted as I have seen two cars petoless in the last week or so....was very surprised that it could happen here with so many kiosks around.

  21. At my current open-space carpark, I always run out of place to park when I come home at night. As I have to work late rather frequently, it is really inconvenient. I understand that this is a common scenario with open-space carparks. Therefore, I am contemplating buying a flat with MSCP. To those who park at MSCP, can you guys tell me if you have ever run out of a lot to park if you come home late at night (1~2 am)? No place to park at all - not even on the highest floor?
  22. One of the most inspirational speeches in recorded history was given by a comedian by the name of Charlie Chaplin.
  23. been driving a 1er bimmer with n55 engine for awhile. It is a quite powerful pocket rocket and fun to drive. For a clean look butt I decided to debadge the 135i and slammed a hartge quad pipe on it. Then the funny story came, I started to get tailgated by all sorts of funny cars everyday Craziest one is a honda CRV, yes a f*cking jap SUV!! tried to tailgate me beyond 130kph in mid night along AYE with all lanes clear and he followed me whichever lane I changed to. He came so close as if he wanted to slam his headlights into my rear window LOL I was so worried about his pathetic brakes, I tap on my mine he sure would bang into me. Yesterday kena tailgated by a white Vios along PIE again, once awhile I hit on the gas to shake him off but he's been very persistent. When I got slowed down by traffic, he would slowly catch up and show his shinny tooth to me. I have been driving in different countries, seeing crazy drivers, aggressive drivers or lousy drivers. but some sgrean are just plain stupid drivers tailgating at high speed with poor brakes? that's suicidal and murderous.
