  11. There are indications that the number of singles here are growing in numbers ever more than before....such that dating or matching agencies have turn this 'opportunity' as a possible business with profits to be made!...even the gov have jump into such ventures by providing 'seed' $$$ to fund such ventures! But there are also indication that even with such agencies and prodding by the gov, many would still NOT tie that knot...The above being some of the possible reason(s) but what else could be the other reason(s)? Feel free to discuss.
  12. Michael Schumacher drives taxi in airport dash It seems that you can take Michael Schumacher out of racing, but you can't take racing out of Michael Schumacher. The seven-time Formula One world champion took over from his taxi driver in order to make it to the airport in time for a flight, it has emerged. Cabbie Tuncer Yilmaz watched in awe as the racing legend, 38, showed him how his job ought to be done. "I found myself in the passenger seat, which was strange enough, but to have 'Schumi' behind the wheel of my cab was incredible," Mr Yilmaz told German newspaper the Muenchner Abendzeitung. Schumacher, who lives in Switzerland, had flown in to an aerodrome near Coburg, Bavaria, on Saturday and taken a taxi to Gehuelz to pick up a new puppy. On the 30km (19 mile) return journey, however, Schumacher felt they were short on time, and made a polite request to Mr Yilmaz that he be allowed to take over. Unsurprisingly, and perhaps with a view to bettering himself professionally, the driver did so. With his wife, two children and new addition to the family Ed, the Australian Shepherd pup, on board, Schumacher proceeded to put pedal to metal. Famously, German autobahns have no blanket speed limits, so the driver was able to put the cab through its paces. Although he was driving an Opel Vivaro, a minivan-style vehicle which has a top speed of 163km (101 miles) per hour, Schumacher managed to get the most out of it, according to the cabbie. "He drove at full throttle around the corners and overtook in some unbelievable places," said a white-knuckled Mr Yilmaz. The retired champion gave the taxi driver a generous 100 euro (71.76 pounds) tip on top of the 60 euro fare. Despite helping out as a test driver at old team Ferrari, Schumacher has ruled himself out of any return to Formula One.

  17. Have you ever wonder how the Beijing Olympic logo came about and why it is accepted as the logo for 2008 olympic. Well....................... As China still practice capital punishment for serious crime offenders, it uses this as a signal to all athletics not to cheat during the games in Beijing 2008.

  20. Do u ever regret after giving way??? I did, last Friday. I was on the left most lane and was going to turn left in 1km away. I was 2 car length behind the car in front. On my right front, half car length forward of me, a car signalled left. I gladly let go accelerator n slowed down for him to change lane. After lane change, the MF slowed down drasticly n kept a 4-5 car length from the car in front!!! I lan lan follow behind as my turn off n his were abt 600m away. After turning left, I accelerated quickly n overtake the MF. It turns out to be a 50-60 yr old man driving a COE Ford Laser. The road speed limit was 70km/h. Sometimes such ppl dont deserved to be given way. I should jus speed up n kept pace wif him n make him miss a turn. Jus thinking only.

  22. So has anybody succeeded? Any street legal TC/SC here locally? http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...llowed_lta.html Superchargers or Turbochargers The addition of superchargers or turbochargers to a vehicle may adversely affect the safe operation and its exhaust emission characteristics. Therefore, LTA would require the following to be submitted for evaluation: a) Technical specifications and installation details (including pictures and drawings) of the proposed supercharger or turbocharger. b) Certification from the vehicle manufacturer stating that the supercharger or turbocharger is suitable for the vehicle on a per make and model of the vehicle. c) Certification or test reports from LTA/NEA recognised test laboratories to show that the turbocharger or supercharger when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.
