  1. In an article on Straits Time today, more than 10,000 cars are repossessed per annual. More are going into the REPO business and banks are paying quite good money for each car to be towed away between $200-$250. They had go to the extend of having bigger yards to store these cars, instead of finding the root cause to this car ownership behaviour in the country. Car owners had expressed our unhappiness and concerns towards High car prices COE esculation Additional ERP gentry points Increase fuel pricing Continuosly increasing car insurance Questioning the true value of annual road taxes Naturally how safe are we driving on the Singapore road, from the Nicholle incident And now, new laser camera to gun you down on the road. (which often cause some driver to discover about it last minute -->jammed brakes -->pile up) It had come to a time I wonder if are we criminals on the road, to be blame for every right doings, cursed for every wrong doing and suck in any economic downturn. http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/singapore...,247820,00.html? http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/singapore...,247823,00.html?
  2. Not in my books ..... forget it Rubinho, you can say whatever you want , but everybody knows you are there to play second fiddle to Micheal Shumacher. You have never proven yourself to be champ material , like Coultard. Driving a similar car to Micheal ... wats yr average score per year ?? And with Micheal behind the wheels of the other Ferrari, he'll just radio back to the pits and u'd get screwed over and over again ..... let Micheal pass will always be the voice to haunt you. Rubens 'DC' Barrichello: 'I Will Be World Champ' 15/01/04 Is Rubens Barrichello F1's new David Coulthard? The Brazilian is definitely vying for the role, as his recent 'I'm going to be World Champion' comments have demonstrated. Speaking after Ferrari announced that he's signed for another two years, Rubinho proclaimed to the world that he would one day be the F1 World Champion. "I expect to win races and fulfil my dream of winning a World Championship - at least one. By signing the contract I have at least another three chances of winning the title," a bullish Barrichello said. But the 31-year-old won't be happy about winning the title unless he succeeds in doing it while his six-times World Champion team-mate, Michael Schumacher, is still racing. "I am very proud to work with Michael... racing alongside him is a privilege and not a problem, but I do hope to become World Champion. And if I have to win, I'll win now and not when he retires."
  3. This is my favourite rim. I was wondering if anybody has seen anything like this in Singapore.
  4. From UK's AutoExpress online: "In the current issue of Auto Express magazine, we reveal images of Volvo's V90. Set to make its debut as a concept at the Detroit Motor Show in January, the new V90 will go on sale in the UK in 2005. But insiders are promising the newcomer will be worth the wait, with practicality to shame a big MPV, classy styling, V8 power and even a 4x4 off-road version. The new car will only be available as a load-lugger and will become the flagship of the Swedish firm's range - sitting above the S80 saloon and aimed at the BMW 7-Series, Mercedes S-Class and Audi's all-new A8. The Volvo will offer all the performance and luxury of these German rivals but will also have a crucial advantage - more space than most vans! Currently, the company's biggest estate, the V70, has the largest carrying capacity in its class, but the V90 will increase the luggage space by more than 10 per cent to a massive 1,900 litres with the seats folded. There will be plenty of features to make load carrying easier, too, including a sliding shelf to double the load deck and an electrically operated tailgate, making it easy to open the hatch if you have your arms full. While this will prove popular with Volvo's stereotypical antique-dealer owners, the estate also has the family driver in mind, too. Seven seats will be standard on all UK versions and, unlike the last V90, the rear row of seats will be forward facing for safety reasons. If you only need to carry four, the rearmost seats can be folded away and the centre of the middle row folded to create two limo-like luxury 'armchairs' for passengers in the back. Despite its practicality, Volvo's stylists have been careful to avoid boxy look of the car's predecessor, which was axed in 1998. The classy lines give a broad-shouldered look, and the sloped tailgate results in a sleeker rear, without sacrificing too much load capacity. The front sees the greatest change, though, with clear cues taken from much-loved models of the Fifties and Sixties. The 'VOLVO' badge lettering stretches across the entire width of the raised bonnet line, in a similar way to the old PV455 and 121 'Amazon', while round headlamps have been incorporated behind clear covers. However, it'll take more than this to impress BMW and Mercedes buyers - the V90 will need performance and power too. Entry-level models will be propelled by a new 225bhp 3.0-litre V6 or a 3.2-litre turbodiesel, which has been developed in conjunction with Peugeot. These engines will also be used in the other Volvo models including the S60, and will eventually find their way into Jaguar models, too. The range-topper will have the biggest powerplant ever fitted to a Volvo. The 4.0-litre V8 is being developed with the help of Yamaha, and despite its 300bhp output, it promises to be the most fuel efficient in the class. The six-cylinder versions will be available with front-wheel drive, and this platform will also be used with the next-generation of the Jaguar S-Type. However, the V8-powered V90 will only be mated to a 4x4 transmission and an adjustable air suspension system which promises the level of safety and refinement buyers expect. There will also be a Cross Country version of the car with raised ride height and chunky styling to take on the likes of BMW's X5 and Merc-edes' planned GST 4x4. And you thought Volvo estates were boring!" Now that'll be one interesting Volvo!
