  4. Is there a way to differentiate the 2? Someone told me that Jap aftermarket exos are mostly free-flow e.g. Tanabe, HKS. But Euro ones like Remus are semi-flow. Is it also true that semi-flow is more suitable for auto-transmission cars?
  5. have heard of shops or fellas sending in rides with modified exhaust for inspection for a fee to ensure that inspection passes. Does anyone have such contacts? kindly pm me. shop has to ensure that car with modified exhaust will pass inspection please. thanks in advance

  7. Hi guys, Recently ran over some thick branches and I suspect the impact might have loosen or damaged the exhaust system. I can now feel more pronounced vibrations when shifter is at "D" while car is stationary and on the move, car seems a little more sluggish and again, more vibrations on the expressway, the problem is worst when A/C kicks in. I had a quick look at the undercarriage and there are no dents therefore I suspect it might be a rubber gasket or fitment problem. Would appreciate it if you guys could recommend a good exhaust shop, I went to a pretty famous one and received the "sorry we have no time for you" type of service, they seemed more interested in customers paying $$$ for exhaust mods. Thanks
  8. Has Anyone ever bought or know of a shop selling a custom made Exhaust Muffler Tip. This may sound funny, actually my wife saw a "love shaped" muffler tip on tv the other day and she's asking me to get it and installed it on the car before i do any other modifications. ehehe so any help...?
  9. I had my exhaust tip installed by just screwing onto the stock exhaust tip. Just now parking din see behind is a high kerb and the tip got hit and bent abit.. After that I can hear abit of like air leakage from within cabin whenever i am stationery at 'D'. I believe its thru the exhaust, anybody know whats wrong? Really leakage? I tink I going to fong kim to have a look.. Haha..

  11. Kimiko from Cartronics has alleged that members have MCF have done it themselves. I scoured the forum and do not seem to find a thread on this. She also said that Stamford Tyres can help get Fujitsubo Exhaust approved? Can anyone enlighten if u have done it? Importing a rare car and XOS will be the first to go. Dun wanna let ROV have the upper hand. Cheers.

  18. A friend gave me a lift today and while reversing into a parking lot, we heard some scrapping sound. Got down to check and found that the exhaust tip had knocked into a thick tree root. A part of the root was chipped off and the exhaust tip was covered with tree bark. He was wondering if this will damage the car in any way? Can anyone advise? Thanks

  22. Hello Wonder if anyone has done this before. I am keen for an aftermarket exhaust (designed for my car). Several other cars have gotten the approval from LTA. For the inspection , what kind of documents do I need to bring? Log card? Exhaust OEM's cert? etc?
  23. Hi, does anyone knows if MAN Exhaust do lowering spring? Workmanship good? And what is the addres and contact no? Thinking of lowering my ride, heard Apex brand not bad.
  24. Hi all, Anybody can advise on this? Intend to add on a supersprint exhaust but not willing to have the exhaust tip below the bumper apron. Do not wish to sacrifice the rear parking height. Spb is too long not to park over the crub in certain carparks. Will be lowering ride as well (just an inch, not too much). Thinking about changing the lower lip of rear bumper or cut out to fit flat exhuast tip. Anyway workshop or customiser in sg? Lamy [inline supersprint.jpg]
  25. Hi all just installed a Simota Carbon charger (i think it's more accurately an enclose cone filter) and i asked the mech abt this tube leading from the engine block to the air intake just before the throttle body i believe tt is the EGR and the mech didn't seem to know the term, but he said tt the exhaust gas is fed into the air intake then and offered to put a "breather" device to vent the EGR gases into the engine compartment. so now i have a micro "open pod" which i think is to filter the exhaust gases being vented into the engine which wud otherwise be fed back into the intake my intake is oily after the EGR inlet, no doubt due to engine oil mist. read somewhere here tt such gases will eventually foul the throttle, and I fully believe so my point is, is the air breather device good? or will it reduce power or spoil the engine in any way? it seems counter-intuitive to pump hot exhaust gases back into the engine. i'm not too concerned if my emissions increases by a bit because of this mod hope i'm not too long-winded. dun have a camera (believe it or not) but i'll try to take some pix when i get hold of my gf's N70
