  1. Top up a full tank with BP Quantum 98 yesterday and started the dirve today. I have a 50 litre tank with the Pug 206. Upon reaching my office (20 km), the meter dropped to the next mark (about 10%)!!!. How can this happen since a Mobil 98 gives me about 13.8km/l? Will continue to monitor and will report the final result here....
  2. Just came back from Frankfurt on duty travel and had the ride of my life on the Autobahn... I sat in my German colleague's Volvo V40 (M) - Diesel variant, who fetched me back from the training center to the airport. He was going at 205km/h at some stretches and was averaging over 190km/h during the most part!!! Quite amazing that the car feels totally stable at that speed. I could imagine my puny Sunny would probably start falling apart at even above 180km/h.... Best part of all, we got overtaken by some bimmers and Mercs!! It's quite something to see a car driving at 200km/h and suddenly, a set of lights from the rear approaching at ludicrous speeds!! I have a new respect for German drivers. One may expect that these guys may just be skilled at speeding on large expressways, but not so. During one part of the expressway, there was one stretch undergoing roadworks, such that about 2.5 lanes were cordoned off, which only left about 1.5 lanes passable. This left very little clearance on either side for a car each to pass the 1.5 lanes (2 at a time). These chaps were going at 100km/h with only 20-30cm clearance at each side of the lane!! Amazing!!
  3. Hi guys Just came back from a track session....... just want to share some experiences.... I have been driving on the track before with my stock suspension for a few times before i changed to a coilover suspension a year ago. This is the first time I tried with the new setup on the track. This is some of my feedback and IMHO....on the differences... 1. stock suspension - softer, and more roll - easier to control and takes more time to settle in a corner - correction is easier and it feels more forgiving - squeaking of tyres 2. Coilover suspension - harder, much lesser roll - settling time into a corner is much faster and sudden. - adjustment much more difficult, required really undestanding of the behaviour of new setup...everything happens much faster and sudden...sometimes no warning at all..in my opinion kinda of dangerous for people who dont have the experience and skill to adjust and adapt to it. - car at limits and will give way even without squeaking of tyres. any other people has common experience to share?....
  4. Hi guys, just wanna share with u some of the off road driving i just had in gold coast....it was really exhilerating....a totally different of driving skills required off the road.....as u know that on normal tarmac, traction is never a problem but once off the tarmac and onto gravel.....it's a total different driving skills, where u have to balance your car very well....especially braking, controlling the car mass, requires alot of torque but reasonable horsepower....too much is dangerous as well....have to really control the car very well in late braking and counter steering.....even had a feel of Initial D, doing some drifting.....but all i can say is that the new Rex has a better handling off the road...... here are just some of the pictures of my one day thrill in two different WRXs.....the feeling is SHIOK!!!
  5. Hi there, Anyone with any experience with Comfort Automotive? Do they do Auto Transmission flushing? just got a 6 year old Ford Laser TX3 not long ago and thinking of doing a full service check.. cheers
  6. Anyone has any experience with Espace workshop, say for servicing or bodywork? Will be bringing my Toledo down next week to see whether my rear bumper can be cut to accomodate my exhaust. Any other recommendations for workshops that do good bodywork ? I understand that there is a mondeo that had his rear customised?
  7. one of these chip appear on my table this morning!
  8. Anyone has been to McWell to mod or buy their stuff? How's their pricing and service quality? Thanks!
  9. I got a rental Mit Spacewagon Chariot 2.4 GDI as a loaner while my brick is in workshop for accident repair, here's my virgin feedback: space: damn huge boy "I'm on top of the world looking......" engine: Smooth, suprisingly quiet, torquey on low end but stains after 4000rpm handling: What handling? It's a MPV! Bounces like Taxi Interior: Creaking everywhere, probably kena abused already. Driving it makes me feel so tall and 5yrs older.....now where's the poser child seat I need?
  10. Create this thread here so that Skoda owners can share experience at the comfort of a closed group. Can post SENSITIVE things here too! I can blast them all I can here w/o the worry of slander or libel. Why? Because Czech Auto is also reading this forum!!! Sammo told me that.
