I had wanted to sell-off 2nos WD 1.5Tb hdd due to redundancy. Mkt price was around $120. Bot them in 2009. Was refer to this #04-76, was quoted $75 earlier on. After checking on the hdd, after some negotiating finally agreed on $70. What happened next shock me - the ah nei placed $70 on the table. What? $70 for 2 hdd? Buy one, get one free? I refused to sell, shrugging it off as miscom, no point arguing after wasting about 30 minutes. End of part one.

I realize that I shld have done this sooner, but anyway deposit has been paid and i'll be doing down to pay the remaining soon. Has anyone any experience buying from Hup Long Pte. Ltd? I've read everything I cld but didn't find much except for 1 complaint against them. I realize that i've made a mistake of not documenting everything clearly on our agreed deal and i intend to correct it when i go down again. usually quite nice to p plate as everyone is a p plate before but recently quite sian a few times when already give way to them but their signal light blink so long but dun wan to cut in Then when i accelerate, they just cut in any other experience to share

I am a new st*rHub broadband user. Subscribe to their 2Mb plan few months ago. For the pass 1 month, i have been experiencing very lousy download speed during peak hours (evening on weekday and whole day on weekend). Basically, their mobile broadband service could be worst than a 56K dial-up modem. sometimes, I either have to wait for a few minutes to load a webpage, or even worst, I cannot even load a page successfully. When I tried to test my speed at speedtest.net, my download speed is only recorded at 0.14Mb/s and upload speed at 0.01Mb/s speed test result: I complained to the ISP and they said they will check on this matter. After waiting for a few days, i call back and check out the result. They claim that there is not issue with the signal and bandwith at the area I complained. I told that to check on the hours I complained and they said they will investigate and get back to me. in the end, no one came back to me and I made a few nasty complain every few days. I told them that Im not going to pay for such lousy service. in the 1st place, if i can use a 56K dialup service which is faster & more constant for free, why should i pay for $19.90 lousy service?? They allow me to change my plan to another home broadband plan without any penalty... i ask them how reliable is their home broadband, can they, at least promise to deliver a constant speed at 1/4 of their advertised speed? The officer said they cant, its depends on the number of user sharing the bandwith at my area. I told them that its not a solution, its basically replacing one problem with another problem! In the 1st place, why are they advertising such high speed and in the end, such speed cannot be constantly attained? and worst still, st*rhub do not even confident to deliver a constant 1/4 of the advertised speed? They finally give in and told me that Im allow to terminate their service without any penalty. im now in the middle to search for another alternate ISP. Can someone recomend me a home or mobile ISP that is reliable and able to achieve a constant broadband. I dont expect to hit the max speed all the time. What Im asking for is simply a service that can achieve CONSTANTLY 1/4 of the advertised speed ... hope my expectation is not too high...

hi Bros/Sis, I visited this 7-eleven franchise road show at marina square yesterday. Many people are there inquiring. I saw both young and old. -initial investment can range from 50k to over 200k, depending on takeover store location. -have to attend 3mths training on store management. I had been an employee for 13 years, so now thinking whether to switch path. No prior experience in doing business. Never work in any front line job. I view this as a chance to be own boss and switch line. But this is not a small investment for me. does any bros here have experience in this area? or any other franchise? anything to take note... the first feedback i got so far is, Cheers is cheaper than 7-eleven... thanks & regards

Backside itch one day n i went down to Benzline (importer for merc n BMW parts) n bought a set of lowering spring for my dad W211. After installing, the car wasn't very low, just a finger rear and no lowering on the front. Thus i went back to Benzline to rectify. The sales manager immediately brought out another set of spring, mentioned that there might be a packaging error that i might be given the wrong set of spring, perhaps meant for bigger capacity, thus tts why the front doesn;t lower. He intro me to a workshop around UBI area which he will absorb the re-installation labour charges. Thus i proceeded to re-install the new set of spring. However, the new spring makes no difference from the first set of spring. Car is not any lower. After discussion with the Sales manager from benzline, i have decided to go back to stock, since that set of lowering spring couldn;t lower my call at all. They have also agreed to absorb the re-installation labour charges back to stock at the same workshop. That is when the problem comes in. I waited nearly 5 hrs for them to put back to stock for me. They broke my original nut, which connects the absorber to the lower arm. Nevermind, they have found a spare one and put it back. Everything done ok and i got back the car n went home. My dad drove the car to JB one day. when exiting the new CIQ custom, he made a turn n the road surface wasn;t even, the car oversteered at very low speed dry road surface. There was also squeeking sound coming from the rear suspension. My dad drove his car back to our own workshop, the one which we installed the spring. they jack up the car and noticed that the screw which they replaced should be used on a japanese car for one side, a US car on the other side. The spring was not sitting into the well properly. Just called workshop n they mentioned all the 4 springs were not sitted properly into the well. The workshop is quite popular in UBI area, selling BC coilovers n many other parts. many DC5R n FD2R patronise the workshop as well. But when it comes to dealing with mercedes, that is the problem which i faced. Springs not installed properly, Screwed used wrongly. Benzline is honest when dealing with customer, and i managed to exchanged my spring with a set of exhaust tip. However, the workshop which they recommended is the one that gives me a night mare. So guys, out there, pls be careful when choosing the correct workshop. I cannot imagine if one day the car smashed due to the wrongly installed spring, who is gonna be responsible.

hi all, how abt a little sharing of experience of the tires u used previously and present? i start first.. 1) Goodyear NCT-5 -- normal street tires, nothing to shout abt.. dry 3/5, wet 2/5 2) Bridgestone G3 -- one of the better ones i had, noisy though.. dry 4/5, wet 4/5 3) Firenza ST-03 -- slightly better than NCT-5, wet is lousy.. dry 3/5, wet 3/5 4) Firenza ST-08 -- quiet, comfort tires.. dry 3/5, wet 3/5 5) Falken St-115 -- very good, noise level when new is ok but wear and tear fast.. dry 4/5, wet 4/5 6) Falken Ziex 912 -- at new is good, gets noisy after awhile.. wear and tear fast.. dry 3/5, wet 3/5 7) Goodyear Eagle F1 -- definitely a good wet tire, dry is so so though.. dry 3/5, wet 4/5 8) Goodyear RevSpec RS2 -- Decent, exceed expectations while on wet.. dry 4/5, wet 4/5 9) Continental CPC2 -- just change, no comments yet..

Am considering getting a netbook for surfing purpose because of the weight, now my notebook weighs half a ton, also it is hot (lower sex drive). Anyone has experience to share concerning using a netbook, and which particular model is good (or bad), what is the performance like (speed), what can it be used for (besides surfing net), battery life, and cost etc . As there are so many brands and models out there, which are the good buys ? Thanks bros.

Hey folks, anyone saw tha accident along PIE (towards Changi) before Eunous exit last night aroung 1030pm? 3 car chain... I was very blessed not to be the 4th car, just managed to e-brake (ABS activated) and stop just about 2m behind the 3rd car. am so so glad i wasn't speeding and was about 2-3 car length away, anything less i think kena liao and thank God it didn't rain last night cos if the road was wet, most likely cannot brake in time. anyways i know no amount of advice will discourage people from speeding and tailgating, only through personal experience then will realise the danger/risk behind it. anyways just sharing from a personal experience. -
Recently I came across a blog (cannot find the link, sorry sorry) about the author who forgot to pay the S&C to the TC, the lapse by him and his wife resulted in him unable to renew the season parking on HDB website. He rants that the website was unnecessarily complex and unhelpful because when he tried to renew, it just told him cannot and need to see HDB. So off he goes taking leave and waits for the service person. He was told he cannot renew until he cleared his debt to the TC for the S&C. Cut long story short, isn't it amazing that you are prohibited from renewing your season parking if you did not pay S&C charges? Its not related right? and the best part is this thing is link on the e-gahmen thing. do you mcf bros have any such experience elsewhere?

Hi all Just want to share with u guys what I've encountered and hope u won't repeat the same mistake as me. At almost 5yrs' milege, my car suddenly experience engine startup difficulties. I then go change the battery (anyway its time to change) but problem don't go away. My second option was to service the throttle body. Just as i was abt to do so, engine check light turns on and off during my drive and eventually, my boost meter shows Zero bar. Immediately i suspect there is a leak. However I couldn't spot any loose hose and have no choice but to drive to the Distributor Workshop. I drive back to them because 6mths ago, they did my timming belt change. Here comes the main part of story. SA told me my throttle body may need to change and my ECU need to change. Total damage over 5k. I was shock. He mentioned, after replace with their new ECU, everything becomes okay, and later put back my ECU, engine check light turn on. I told him ECU seldom spoil, the most burnt out cannot work only mah. I then ask him how many ECU he replace b4, he said mine is the first case. I'm definately not convinced. I drove my car out to my other workshop and seek for expert's help. Then a vacuum hose was spoted hanging after a full throttle at neutral gear. The sudden high rev actually forced my semi breaking hose to totally break off and come loose. The hose was refitted and everything goes back to normal. So much for our local Distributor Workshop.

Sudden Jerk during Gear Change. Auto Car Just got my new ride. 1 month old Auto Gear Car. For some reason, whenever I release my accelerator (meaning not stepping & let the car move forward on it own, you know the kind of suitation when approaching a red light stop) my car suddenly jerk alittle and then followed by a sudden forward push. Not sure if it is the auto gear change that is causing this? Anyone out there has similar experience?
