  1. Guys, I know the jam at checkpoints are long, but waiting a few hours is probably better than waiting a few months in jail. What happened? On 6th May 2023, a BMW 1200gs rider at Tuas checkpoint decided that the queue was too long and tried to cut it. However, he was unfortunate in his choice of victim, who was apparently a Malaysian rider who refused to let him have his way. This resulted in a fight where the Malaysian man was being held back by a couple other riders in an attempt to stop the fight, as other vehicles behind them were also blaring their horns. The footage is pretty short and only shows the fight as it is happening, not what led to it. We also don’t know if either party is going to face charges for fighting (though really, it should only be the BMW rider if this is true). Take this story with a grain of salt. Ironically, if the rider just waited like everyone else he probably would have left earlier as opposed to starting a fight and dealing with the consequences after. 2. TL;DR - Fists fly as e-biker and driver clash in heated argument over road safety Near-miss turns into not-so-fun fisticuffs: Road rage brawl ensues! Watch this 49 second clip of an e-biker and a driver come to blows in a shocking altercation. What Happened? An e-bike got into a heated altercation with the driver of a Nissan Sylphy, resulting in a (one-sided) physical squabble. Fortunately, a camcar driver who was just behind the camcar noticed the commotion and quickly intervened, stepping in and diffusing the situation. The camcar driver was able to calm the e-biker down and prevent the situation from escalating any further. It is alleged that the incident occurred when the Nissan Sylphy attempted to overtake the e-biker on a narrow road, coming dangerously close to the e-biker in the process. The e-biker, feeling threatened and upset, shouted at the driver to be more careful. Online Chat Some netizens were saying how it could’ve been the Sylphy's fault since he ‘didn’t dare to leave his car’ while some are banking on the e-biker’s fault, since he was the one (and only one) who was throwing punches in the air the whole time. Who do you think is at fault? Comment down below! Takeaway The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining calm and composure on Singapore's roads, especially in situations where tensions may be running high. It is crucial for all road users to show respect and consideration for one another, regardless of whether they are driving a car, riding a bike, or walking. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. What happened? Police were alerted to a fight along Stamford Road at around 2.28 A.M. They turned up to find a man casually crossing the road with an axe in his hand. As the man got closer, the police drew their weapons in a bid to get him to stop. The threat worked as the man promptly stopped and dropped his weapon, raising his hands in the air. There is a brief standoff as the police keep the man there for a minute. The lights turned green and the camcar continued on its way. The man was subsequently arrested for possession of an offensive weapon, using criminal force to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty and using abusive language against a public servant. A 71 year old man was hospitalised during the fight, and a 29 year old man is assisting the police with investigations. We have no information as to the reason why the fight was started, the man's identity, nor the condition of the hospitalised person. Online chatter A couple people praised our police force for arresting the man and ending further harm. Others poked fun at the situations, with a couple pointing out how the situation resembled GTA.
  4. TL;DR - PMD rider and ComfortDelGro taxi driver making a big fuss over road blocking, argument ended up being a battle of cussing at each other's parents. ‘Guai-lan’ or childish? Or both? Watch this 88-second video of these two idiots disputing over something trivial. What happened? A PMD rider and a ComfortDelGro taxi driver get into a heated argument over road blocking. In the video, the taxi driver lashed out at the PMD rider for road hogging while the PMD rider claimed that he did not see the taxi behind, thus blocking the road unintentionally. This misunderstanding blew up which led to the whole scene of them ‘kpkb’ at each other. In the midst of this intense squabble, both parties were crying father and mother; basically revolving the entire feud cursing each other’s parents. Two grown-up men engaging in such childish behaviors, not cool man, not cool. Is this the new way to get to know each other? Damn, feels like I’m watching some Hong Kong drama. Online Chatter Feels like a catfight but this time with two men whose ages probably add up to >100 years old… From this we can clearly tell age does not define maturity. Are you #TeamTaxiDriver or #TeamPMDRider? Moral of the Story It is important to keep in mind that courtesy is a two-way street. 5. TL;DR - A van driver was caught physically abusing a female passenger by grabbing her head back and forth. It seems like they were in a heated argument where the man loses it and trashes her. Controversial topic but agree to disagree: Chivalry is dead (almost, kinda?) Watch this 26-second clip of this vulnerable passenger getting whacked by the driver. What happened? It is apparent that the driver was physically (and highly likely, verbally) abusing his passenger. Judging from how violently he threw her head, it was definitely a very, very heated argument. The defenseless was also seen bending over to a vulnerable state. Poor thing. It seems as though the violence continued on for quite some time. As much as we do not know the context of the situation, I, for one, believe that men should never resort to violence, especially on a susceptible female. And of course, violence in itself does not resolve anything. Online Chatter Unfortunately, not every girl gets to be a passenger princess. Was this man trying to practice his WWE headbutting stunt on her or something? Ok but for real, no matter what, a man should never lay hands on a female. NEVER! Takeaway No matter how good you are at multi-tasking, you should not drive and argue simultaneously as driving requires maximum concentration. 6. TL;DR - Cam car and BMW gets into a heated argument over trivial dispute and hurls vulgarities at each other incessantly. Want to brush up on your Hokkien? Learn from these two ‘laojiaos’! Watch this 6-minute video to see two men hurling profanities incessantly. Fierce. What happened? The cam-car reported that he was traveling along Yio Chu Kang when the BMW PHV cut into his lane abruptly. He honked at the driver to avoid collision (allegedly), but the BMW driver decided to point a rude gesture at the cam-car driver. Towards the exit of Braddell road, the BMW driver got out of his vehicle, to challenge the cam-car to a fight. Amid the confrontation, both parties started to spout Hokkien vulgarities and 'play mother' by insulting both mothers' v*ginas smelly (a common cuss in Hokkien). Online Chatter: The comments were pretty crude towards the cam-car, with many calling him out for not stepping out of his car even though he kept asking the bimmer to ‘lai lor an zua’ (Hokkien way to provoke a fight). ‘Humji’ level: 9000. Takeaway A little patience goes a long way. If you’re on the road, there’s bound to be road rage. But what is important is that we should always remind ourselves to give and take, pay it forward and exercise more forbearance on the road. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 7. TL;DR - A taxi and a lorry collided, sending the front bumper of the taxi out onto the bustling traffic of Orchard. A perfect example of great minds think alike - aiming for the same lane at the same time. Watch this 107-second video to see a flying bumper. So what happened? A ComfortDelgro taxi and a Sunshine Bread lorry were turning right into two different lanes when the lorry sideswiped the taxi, resulting in the taxi losing its entire bumper. The driver of the lorry then came out of his vehicle, hurling expletives and signaling gestures of unhappiness as he walked towards the taxi. Seems like man is all pumped up (with anger) for a fight. If you're kept abreast of road accidents in Singapore, you would know this path has seen quite a few accidents. In case you're heading to town, do take extra precaution when driving along this road. Online Chatter Some netizens are faulting the lorry for not staying in his lane/inching forward before turning, while others are blaming the taxi for not checking for safety before driving off. There are even some who brought LTA into the picture for the poorly designed roads here. Takeaway Lane markings are there for a reason, stay well within them and have good lane discipline. Apart from that, it is also imperative to always have an eye for blind spots (geddit?) ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 8. TL;DR - A Mitsubishi Outlander driver turned right on a left-only lane and got honked at by a cam car. The driver then decided to get out of his car and let his middle fingers loose. Is being or at least acting fierce, the way out of any argument? Seems like this Mitsubishi Outlander driver is a firm believer of such a mindset. Watch this 99-second video and we’ll see if you share the same sentiments as most people after. What happened? In the video, we see a very self-entitled driver pointing his exceptionally long middle finger at the cam car. Reason? Because he’s in the wrong. Whut? Perhaps the driver believes whoever gets mad first automatically puts the other party at fault? He carried on raging at the poor cam car driver when he was the one at fault. Consider my mind officially blown. Before leaving the scene, he kept flipping the bird at the cam car like he was doing some ritualistic, voodoo dance. Pretty hilarious if you ask me. Gentle Reminder to all road users: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users carries a whopping 9 demerit points and a grand fine of $300. Let’s dive into the online chat box. Seems intense over there. No holds barred against the Mitsubishi driver. He has officially gotten his role as an Internet clown. Let’s just say there’s loads more of such hate comments directed at him, but for now, we’ll leave it here. Therefore, folks, be vigilant when you drive - don’t get yourself on SG Road Vigilante! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 10. EPL 2022/23 season begin this weekends. Who will be the champion, which top 4 teams to UCL, which 3 teams to be regulated will all starts this weekends. Looking forward to another season.
  11. As of January 1st, all cyclists in Singapore have to maintain a maximum length of 5 bicycles per group on the roads. Failure to heed this new regulation will result in a whopping $150 fine for errant cyclists. While most have kept to this new regulation, this group of cycling enthusiasts attempts to defy the rules by tackling the roads (and the drivers) late at night. In the wee hours of 9th Jan, a driver was travelling near Keong Saik Road when he chanced upon the large group of cyclists. After stopping to let them pass, he tagged behind the group as he needed to make another left turn. As he drove, he realized that the cyclists were slowing down and stopping to decide what to have for supper in the middle of the road. Wanting to make his left turn, the driver honked at the group, letting them know of his presence. This upsets one of the cyclists, who turns his head and glares at the driver. The cam car then makes its way to pick up a passenger in a nearby alleyway while being chased down by a group of upset cyclists. As the driver was about to leave, he notices one of the cyclists approaching his vehicle from the right. The angsty rider plops in front of the vehicle to block its way as his other friends arrive, shouting vulgarities and challenging the driver to a fight. The cyclist in blue throws down his bike, angrily gesturing at the driver for honking earlier on. He even smacks the car's bonnet a few times as he confronts the driver. The video ends with a picture of a handprint on the window of the cam car. Harassment in Singapore According to the Protection from Harassment Act (POHA), any person who threatens, abuses or insults (whether by behaviour, words or other forms of communication) with the intention to cause and did cause another person alarm, harassment or distress, will be guilty of an offence. Offenders will receive a fine of up to $5,000 and/or an imprisonment term of up to 6 months. For repeat offenders, the punishment will be doubled. For causing someone to believe that unlawful violence will be used against him, offenders will face another charge and receive a fine of up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment terms of up to 12 months. Lastly, unlawful stalking is also an offence under the POHA and it constitutes: Following someone Loitering in areas near someone’s home or business Giving or leaving someone gifts despite being asked to stop doing so Keeping someone under surveillance Repeated circulation of revealing photographs of a classmate to other classmates If convicted, offenders will receive a fine of up to $5,000 and/or an imprisonment term of up to 12 months. Netizens’ reactions I agree with this comment. While cyclists are more vulnerable on the roads, it does not mean that they get to do whatever they want on the road. I think that would create more issues instead 😥 Is there such a thing as bicycle gangs? ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! 12. "Red light stop, green light go" is a basic and universal traffic rule. Heck. Even if you live under a rock, the viral Netflix show 'Squid Game' would have taught you otherwise. Sadly, two 'ah-bengs' and one of their 'zha-bor' simply couldn't understand this simple traffic rule and got into multiple confrontations with a lorry driver. Watch it here: What Happened? Two 'ah-bengs' and a woman blatantly jaywalked in front of oncoming traffic at Victoria Road. The lorry they obstructed honked them for their blatant disregard for road safety. And boy, oh boy, did that honk shatter both their fragile ego. Compensating For Their Shattered Ego Both 'ah-bengs' immediately gestured at the lorry driver with their hands to signal to the lorry driver, "What's your problem?!" 'Ah-beng' #1 in the long pants, then threw a lit cigarette at the lorry, but it rebounded and hit him in the face. Meanwhile, ah-beng' #2 in shorts made an intimidating action of wanting to 'rush' towards the lorry, only to be held back by his 'zha-bor'. As the lorry drove down the road slowly, 'ah-beng' #1 continued walking alongside the lorry while shouting at the driver. Just then, he suddenly jumps and attempts to spit inside the lorry, only to lose his balance and fall ass-first onto the road. NGL, it is hilarious that he acts all tough but can't do something as simple as jumping without falling over. The lorry driver then proceeded to stop at the curbside and settle with those uncouth beings. Unfortunately, what happened afterwards remain unknown, as the video ends after the lorry driver opens his door. A Lesson To Learn A takeaway from this incident would be to get yourself a woman who stops you from doing stupid shit. Unless, of course, your woman is a 'Karen' like the one in this viral incident: In that case, GLHF! You might end up getting arrested for doing stupid shit like the Bentley driver. Netizens' Comments 🤷‍♂️ In a nutshell. You never hear meh? Bentley driver kena arrested liao. ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! 13. Watch as these two drivers demonstrate their lack of basic driving etiquette in an epic shouting match on the road. What else can you expect from two angsty uncles on the road? In this comical video, two drivers are seen engaging in a feisty shouting match with their vehicles still running on the road. With their windows down, both men angrily hurl intense vulgarities and aggressive gestures. Aside from the extensive range of Hokkien vocabulary, it is hard to comprehend what both drivers are yelling to each other. As the fight continues, the camcar inches forward, which indicates that both parties are probably waiting at a junction. Even as other cars start to move off, these two drivers never fail to maintain the intensity of the fight as they take turns creeping forward. Netizens' reactions Do you see the resemblance too? It would explain the foul temper of both drivers 😂 Aggressively sending their regards, if you ask me. While I do like to watch videos of drivers getting into fights over nothing, it is not proper to road rage or to block the flow of traffic just to get a few vulgarities out. 14. A Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe has been caught doing 'Boom Boom Boom' noises in one of the HDB carparks along Hougang Street 61 early in the morning last night. This has not gone well for him as videos of him revving his car that has been tuned to make "pop and crackle" noises has gone viral. s.MP4 According to unnamed sources, it seemed that the green CLA Coupe owner has been approached by home owners staying nearby for the noise pollution and a fight ensued. The police was called in and the CLA owner looked like he has been charged for causing hurt a.k.a Penal Code 323 as we can see from the Whatsapp screenshots. He was intoxicated too but was not charged for drink-driving as his female friend was at the wheel.
  15. TL;DR – Two men argue at a multi-storey carpark because one of them allegedly parked his Mitsubishi Lancer (with a modded exhaust) and revved unnecessarily at five in the morning. Here’s something interesting that SG Road Vigilante just uploaded - Two men arguing over a Mitsubishi Lancer’s modified exhaust. Here’s the video: Boom Boom Boom From the conversation between the two men, we can safely assume there was an exchange of words before the start of the video. The guy taking the video is unhappy with the Lancer driver’s disregard for the neighbours. “Ask you very simple. Be considerate. You come inside here, Boom Boom Boom. You parking here, not moving also you whack whack whack like that. Eh, every morning 5 o’clock you in the morning you do like that you know brother.” Lancer driver The Lancer driver does not address the guy’s concerns. Instead, he focuses on other things “Wah, now video, talk nicely ah? Just now want to play gangster, call police, say I no lan jiao. But now ah, video ah, he talk nicely because he scared I post” Before I continue, let me just put it out there = I did not expect the Lancer driver’s voice to sound like…. that. Not an isolated incident According to the guy taking the video, the Lancer driver has been doing this for a while now. The Lancer driver’s defence? “Because I need to work, I work midnight.” I’m so confused right now. Say what? Don’t forget his voice. His kkj? Ouch, that’s a first, second and third-degree burn all in.
  16. If you don't like road cyclists, your blood confirm boil after this. According to SG Road Vigilante, these young cyclists caused a big hoo-hah in the middle of cross street road. From their body language, seems like they were buaysong (read: unhappy) with the Comfort Delgro Taxi. This took place on 14th January 8:21PM. While we don't know what happened, these cyclists had the audacity to gang up and trash it out on the roads. Some people really never die before, literally. 😑 Naturally, many Facebook users were enraged with the cyclists' behaviour: What's worse than YPs? YPs on bicycles picking fights on roads, obviously.
  17. 18. As everyone should know, today, 9th of July 2020 is the cooling off day for GE2020 and it so happened that the weather is pretty cool after the morning downpour. That said, things were not so cool for these two Private Hire drivers yesterday. As seen on Sg Road Vigilante, a video of two PHV drivers turning the heat up (for the wrong reasons) has been spotted. No one knows what they they were fighting for but we can almost safely assume it is due to one of them not giving way to the other or something similar like that at this NEX taxi stand in Serangoon. It then seemed like a causally-dressed (weird) taxi driver tried to stop them. Kudos for him. What really amused us was the replies in the comments section. Check them out!
  19. https://mothership.sg/2020/03/bishan-marina-otters-fight/ Two otter families in Singapore got into an epic gang fight in the portion of the canal that cuts through Braddell near Bishan. The fight on Sunday, March 29 at about noon was between 11 Marina otters on the left and 15 Bishan otters on the right. Both families clashed like the cinematic final battle scene in Avengers: Endgame, except both sides were squeaking uncontrollably, as if they were chanting poem. For the first 6 seconds of the video, you can see the otters approaching, but still holding their horses. Right after that, they squeaked louder and threw themselves headlong into battle: Although it looked cute, with all the incessant squeaking and water-splashing antics, the fight spilled over to the grass patch on the side, and was apparently more vicious than it looked. There were no deaths reported, but some of the otters got injured and were witnessed to be limping after the fight. What happened after clash According to otter watchers, Ottercity, loud squeaks were heard again at about 5pm and both factions fought again, this time in Bishan Park in front of a large crowd of park goers. The second round ended with the Marina otters being separated into two groups, with one group of six caught on video looking nervous and defensive. The Marina otters swam around the pond, always calling, and it soon became clear why. They were calling out for one lost member, who then emerged to join the rest. By the time night fell, only six of the 11 Marina otters congregated. It is not known what happened after that. Background to feud This particular otter feud is a long-running one that has spanned five years since 2015. The bigger Bishan otter family of 15 had started out in Bishan Park with just three pups. In 2015, a big switch happened. The Bishan otters went south to prime territory Marina Bay and displaced the Marina otters. The Marina otters remained on the move, travelling between East Coast and Singapore River before relocating to Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. Essentially, the two families had switched territories. This latest skirmish is considered a homecoming of sorts as the Bishan otters swam up Kallang River and are coming back to Bishan Park after spending time in Marina Bay. As to why they are doing so, it is most likely a fight over territory and access to resources. Fights between both sides have occurred before, such as in 2018. Their fight strategies have been scrutinised previously.
  20. Fighting broke out between riot police and firefighters who were trying to break down security screens during anti-government protests in Paris today. Videos of the astonishing violence were posted online during demonstrations close to the centre of the capital. Firefighter unions called for an increase in risk pay from 19 per cent to 28 per cent of the basic salary, as well as guarantees that their current pension plans remain in place. “We are the last link in emergency services in France, and we are overwhelmed by calls and interventions,” Frédéric Perrin, president of the SPASDIS-CFTC union, told the news agency Agence France-Presse. “We need more manpower and the means to respond to it, but also the guarantee that we focus mainly on our missions, the emergency, and not serve as supplements to absent health services.”
