  5. As topic, those with JDM cars will know the rear glasses are already darkened (privacy glass) and already barely pass the light test on it's own, so add on a layer of solar film, even if it is the clearest film, mean potentially won't pass inspection. Anyone have gone through the inspection and which inspection center more easy to pass the solar film on JDM glass, and which center fail the solar film on JDM glass? Pls share here. Thanks.
  6. Anyone watch this film yet? I find it quite disturbing riches can seek revenge on low-lives by inviting them to party to get tortured and killed.
  7. Please view this film. It is quite a gem. How a boy discovers girls. The uncensored version is here: Only a breast shot which makes this NC16. The public swimming pool/bath makes me imagine my old matured mind is in a preteen body and wanting to go inside to see everything unopposed and totally accepted!
  8. I'm due for my 1st car inspection - 23 Aug being the deadline. Onemotoring cited this as the allowable requirement: b) The resultant light transmittance for the front windscreen and two front side windows must be at least 70%. c) The resultant light transmittance for the rear windscreen and the rear passenger windows must be at least 25%. My front windscreen and two front side windows are 50%, and it's a really effective film and I hate to see it go to waste. Any advice on whether there's any known center that's not so "strict"?
  9. hi, how long after installing solar film should I wait before sticking windshield discs? if I stick it immediately after installing, will it affect the curing process?
  10. Hi Guys, Those below $200 package. Given the Light transmission to be 80%, which cheaper solar film has the highest Infra-Red rejection, say above 40%. Let's forget about V-cool, 3M, Hu-Opt.
  11. Note: The video may take some time to load. Watch Video Here Enjoy... Trying to download and upload into Youtube for faster loading. *fingers crossing*
  12. Hi All, Just curious, does solar films has a lifespan? For example, Solar Film A when advertised having ultraviolet rejection 95%, infrared rejection 80%, etc... Will the rejection rate deteriorate after some years? Also, would the visible light transmission reading changes as years goes by? Will the sun cause it to lighten or darken over a few years? I hear car glasses when new got a tint, but the sunlight will cause it to become clearer. But opposite is happening to glasses on headlight, over time it became yellowish. How is the duarability of metallic base solar films compare to ceramic base solar films? Lastly, those whom installed solar films, do you request the installer to prove to you the ultraviolet and infrared rejection readings after installed on your car? For me I didn't, I just accept what was stated in their advertisement. But I wonder how accurate the advertised readings is as compared to actual?
  13. Current ride is without Solar Film and thinking of installing either the 3M or Huper. The question is will the solar film affect the GPS reception ? Because I do notice that some film like Huper will cut out an opening just above the ERP IU for better reception so not too sure if GPS will be affected. Thanks for advise given.
  14. A Hong Kong filmmaker aims to lure audiences back to the cinema with what he says is the world's first 3D erotic movie, a newspaper reported Sunday. Mr Stephen Shiu Jnr, chairman of One Dollar Production, said he would use special effects to make the love scenes in his HK$30 million (S$5.8 million) 3D Sex and Zen as realistic as possible. 'The 3D erotica will probably be the world's first,' he told the Sunday Morning Post. 'Just imagine that you'll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed.' The film is based loosely on the 17th century Chinese erotic classic The Carnal Prayer Mat, a tale about how overindulgence in pleasure can lead to tragedy. Mr Shiu told the newspaper that about 25 to 30 per cent of the movie would be love scenes, including many close-ups. He said the actresses would appear to be only a few centimentres from the viewers, who would have to wear special glasses to enjoy the 3D effects. The producer said he was planning to use adult video actresses from Japan and Taiwan. But he admitted having difficulties in finding the male lead. 'We're having trouble finding a male lead who is willing to undress in front of the camera. It's a lot more difficult to find an actor than an actress for this kind of movie.' Shooting will begin in April and it is expected to be released in time for Christmas, the report said. Hong Kong has seen the closure of many cinemas in recent years as traditional movie-goers switch to watching films on DVD at home. -- AFP
  15. Save my house, Hollywood Desperate homeowners let in film crew to earn $3,000 a day, but risk getting nasty surprises January 20, 2009 HURTING from the current recession but love your home too much to sell it off? Some Los Angeles homeowners have found a way to earn extra cash while holding on to their houses - they called Hollywood. These enterprising homeowners have laid out the welcome mat for film crew, offering their homes as sets for movies and commercials, reported Bloomberg. Said MrJoseph Darrell, who runs Joe Darrell Location Service, which sources locations for film sets: 'We are getting a lot of calls (from homeowners). They say, 'Can you help me to bring a production to my home, because I have trouble making my payments.' But letting in film crews is not without setbacks. MsMarylin Bitner, who owns PlanA Locations, said one client 'almost had a heart attack' when he saw that his living room had been painted fluorescent yellow. But another was quite happy to have a new gate installed in front of his house, MsBitner said. He called it the 'pay-it-forward' gate. Clothing and jewellery designer Jayshree Gupta too is happy to let cameramen tramp about her 3,000-sq-ft Bevely Hills penthouse. 'I am doing it because I need money to maintain my lifestyle. A lot of my money is either gone or tied up. Right now I am hurting,' she said as crew members laid protective paper over her hardwood floor and moved in lighting and camera gear. Her home is being used for a day as a set for a TV commercial for a day. She declined to say how much she was being paid, but Mr Darrell, who landed the deal for her, said the going rate for filming work in a place like hers is US$2,000 ($3,000) to US$3,000 a day. That amount would pay half her monthly household bills and maid service. Added MsGupta: 'I am praying, praying, for more productions to come in. 'I thought it was a brilliant idea to help myself.' MsBitner told Bloomberg that she has been getting more than a dozen calls from homeowners each week, up from about two a week a year ago. She said: 'We're getting all sorts of houses. From small homes, where owners are hoping production money will save their house, to very large mansions, where owners hope to avoid having to dig into their savings or having to sell stocks.' Still, there are some perks to letting your property out for film-making. For one, income from residential filming for fewer than 15 days a year isn't subject to federal taxes, according to the Internal Revenue Service. For another, you may get to rub shoulders with a movie star. Said MsBitner: 'We've had Alec Baldwin, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr, among many others. They are always posing with our clients' kids.' But it's not just homeowners that are trying to make their properties earn their keep. More owners of commercial buildings are also letting in film crews. But many are willing to settle for less than the US$6,500 or more a day that was previously offered, said MrDarrell. Meanwhile, one desperate homeowner, Mr Jerry Mendoza, was hard up enough to go to compromise on his integrity for more cash. He had hoped to sell his four-bedroom house in suburban Burbank, which he built in 2006, for US$1.3 million. When the tenants he rented the home to left in November, he leased it for filming. But the most he had received for a day was US$1,300, he said. So he offered his home on an Internet notice for the adult-film industry - because he had heard it paid up to US$5,000 a day. Maybe the homeowner can be part of the acting crews for the adult-firm industry :)
  16. I'm looking for a clear and plain one, without design. Tried autobacs today, and they dun have it. Does anyone know where to buy one?
  17. Hi Just curious about the many suction windshield-mounted GPS holders that are available as a standard mount. With the sun-film (be it V-Kool, Rike-Cool, 3M etc), is there a possibility that the weight of the mounted GPS appliances peel the sunfilm? TIA Robert

  22. HI bros, I will be getting 3M solar film on my ride. Need to know how to diffentiate it btw original 3M and other OEM solar film cos dun wanna get cheated. Does 3M solar film have any "3M" printed on the film or just a sticker? If just sticker, I'm afraid the film is an ordinary OEM solar film but just stick with a 3M sticker. So how can I detact whether is it original or not? Does any accesories shop can install this film or are there install by only certain authorised agent? I need to know how to differentiate due to some past bad experience. Thanks all
