  1. As a professional in this field this thread is for those looking to enhance their health the right way.
  2. This type of news always keep me wondering if what I am doing is right. I exercise or run hard, to the point of exhaustion almost every session. http://mypaper.sg/top-stories/ex-national-swimmer-dies-cardiac-arrest-20150226
  3. TL;DR – A Honda Fit turns right onto oncoming traffic and casually makes an illegal U-turn straight after. It’s not every day you get to see a small hatchback like a Honda Fit make a super-wide U-turn. How wide, you ask? Like driving against oncoming traffic before making an illegal U-turn kind of wide. Watch the 31-second video to find out what I mean. What happened It all begins at a discretionary right turn at a cross junction, location unidentifiable (if you know where this is, do let me know in the comments section below). A Honda Fit makes the turn but accidentally turns into oncoming traffic. While most drivers would hit that panic button at this point, this Fit driver calmly makes an illegal U-turn, cool as a cucumber. A very expensive u-turn As noted in the caption of the post in Roads.SG's Facebook page: But there are some other considerations as well: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users – 9 demerit points and $300 fine Reckless or dangerous driving – 24 demerit points and prosecution in court Personally, it feels like an accident, and the driver made a calm and composed decision to rectify the mistake as soon as it was safe to do so. But as always, let’s see what netizens think. Online Chatter Hmm. Doesn’t seem like it though. That's quite funny. Is this comment targeted at the driver, or the comments flaming the driver? I'm confused. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  4. The driver of a yellow Honda fit attempted to evade carpark payment but ended up failing and was confronted by the driver of the white Skoda Octavia he was tailgating instead. Here's the video This incident took place at the carpark of Takashimaya. In the video, the yellow Honda Fit tries to evade parking fees by tailgating a white Skoda Octavia. But the driver of the Octavia was having none of it and intentionally blocked the Honda Fit. Leaving it awkwardly stuck under the gantry arm. The Skoda driver then exits his car in agitation while walking towards the Honda Fit to confront the driver. Noteworthy: There is an ongoing promotion for 2 hours of free parking at Ngee Ann City, with no minimum spend. Is it worth committing a parking offence over that few dollars? If guilty of tailgating at an EPS exit gantry to avoid payment, the Honda Fit driver could face a $70 fine. Repeat offenders may be charged in court. Netizens' comments The conclusion seems to be clear-cut 🤐 Undoubtedly, there has been an increased occurrence of payment evasion offences, with these offences being committed by tailgating the front vehicle. Here are some recent cases of payment evasion: Mitsubishi Lancer tailgating camcar out of carpark Hyundai Avante tailgating and got confronted by camcar Toyota Sienta tailgating camcar out of SuperBowl Jurong carpark However, the most unusual occurrence of payment evasion belongs to this purple Volkswagen Scirocco. TBH, I am damn puzzled as to why the driver damaged his Scirocco to evade paying his carpark fees. The math just does not add up. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. We’ll even give you $100 cash if you find a better offer elsewhere! 5. Honda's a genius in churning out state-of-the-art small cars. Here's why. The 2014 Honda Jazz is 4cm shorter but it offers 138 liters more cabin-space volume and nearly 13cm of extra rear legroom - compared to the predecessor. Here's how Honda engineers eked out extra room in a shorter car. For starters, Jazz's wheelbase has been stretched further apart by 3cm allowing its rear seat bench to move back outwardly by 7.6cm. Next, engineers made the centrally-mounted fuel tank located beneath the front seats thinner liberating more space for passengers but retains the same liter-volume as previous models. Plus, the new Jazz could be served in a hedonic shade of lemonade yellow to go with its packaging.
  6. 2021 Honda City Hatchback Revealed As Regional Fit / Jazz Replacement https://www.motor1.com/news/456232/2021-honda-city-hatchback-reveal/ It's much bigger than the Fit without clashing with the Civic Hatchback. In an SUV-hungry market, it’s refreshing to see Honda hasn’t given up on regular cars. A year after introducing the City Sedan, its five-door counterpart is premiering today as a replacement in some markets for the Jazz / Fit supermini. It largely carries over the sedan’s styling, but adapted to the smaller footprint as the City Hatchback is 208 millimeters (8.2 inches) shorter. At 4345 mm (171.1 inches) long, the new small hatch is significantly larger than the Jazz without stepping on the Civic Hatchback’s toes. Even though it carries over the sedan’s wheelbase, Honda says the five-door model boasts greater legroom and so-called Ultra Seats with Utility, Long, Tall, and Refresh modes for extra convenience. In Thailand where the City Hatchback was unveiled today, Honda will sell the car with a turbocharged 1.0-liter gasoline engine. The three-pot is good for 120 horsepower and 173 Newton-meters (128 pound-feet) of torque channeled to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission. There’s a sporty-looking RS trim featured here in red, but it’s all show without any extra go. This City Hatchback RS range topper has more than just visual tweaks as it also comes generously equipped with paddle shifters, six airbags, cruise control, rear charging ports, and an armrest for passengers sitting in the back. Honda also installs an eight-speaker sound system, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment, and red illumination for the digital screen in the instrument cluster.

  8. Here's another battle of egos between two drivers. Spotted on SG Road Vigilante is the video of a camera car going up against a Honda Fit that has a Private-hire decal. It also has a P-plate in case you didn't notice. To cut to the chase, both drivers ended up facing each other on a single lane road that was filled with other vehicles illegally parked on one side. A not-very-pleased lady then got out of her Honda and went up to the camera car before giving him/her a piece of her mind. We don't hear or see anything from the camera car's end but we reckoned something happened, causing the lady to flash her middle finger before heading back into her Fit. Sadly, we don't get see how this silly battle of pride and ego ends in the video. In our opinion, both drivers seemed foolish. Is it so hard to just give way so that everyone can move on? Let us know in the comments what you guys think!
  9. Dear all, Just committed to a new Honda Fit 1.3 (PI Model) yesterday. Leather seats were not included in the package so I need to source for my own outside. Any recommended shops with good workmanship yet not too pricey? Thanks!

  13. Hi all brothers & sisters....... The following attached file is 2005 New Facelift for Honda Fit
  14. Now that we all know how the new Honda Fit/Jazz is going to look like, Mugen, one of the few big tuners for Honda, has just launched their new line of aftermarket goodies for the new Fit. Firstly, they designed two different types of front spoiler, one of which is more aggressive than the other. Customers will also have the option to choose the front under spoiler and the side spoiler in either single body colour or two-tone with body colour and matte black. An upper rear wing finished in carbon is also available for the RS/S Package giving an even sportier look. A new wheel, Mugen "MD8", has also been developed for the new Fit in addition to two other styles that are already in Mugen's lineup. Those who are looking to improve their performance on the road can look forward to Mugen
  15. Honda's family hatch has been one of our nation's favourites. Now it seems that the time is ripe for it to transcend into the next generation. So how will the evolution fare? The third generation of the Fit will come in a total of four variants - the 13G, 15X, hybrid, and RS. The 13G is fitted with a 1.3-litre DOHC i-VTEC, mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT (with optional paddle shifters). On paper, Honda claims that the 1.3G is capable of returning 26km/L, with part credits to its new CVT gearbox. The 15X comes with a 1.5-litre under the hood, with a choice of six-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The new engine utilises Honda's direct injection technology for better performance, and is said to be 10 percent more powerful than the one it replaces. The hybrid, as always, packs the most amount of tech gizmos. It features a new one-motor i-DCD Sport Hybrid system that is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. When moving off from stationary, the system engages EV mode to improve fuel efficiency. Three driving modes are available - EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive. The hybrid claims an impressive fuel economy of 36.4km/L. If you asks us, the interior of the new Fit looks simple, yet appealing. The hybrid will get an snob gear stick that looks like it was taken from a spaceship - and we like this special treatment. The standard petrol-driven Fit, on the other hand, will have a redesigned fuel tank that gives more space to the cabin. From this picture it seems that rear legroom has been enhanced by quite a bit. Then, there is the RS variant for the boy racers. While we are sure it wouldn't outrun any of the hot hatches out there, it sure looks the bit. Of course, there is the question of whether the RS will even land on our shores. That said, the rest of the range should make their debut in Singapore somewhere in the mid of next year. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
  16. It seems that Asian automakers somehow have the ability to manufacture pretty interesting super-mini cars. Take a look at the Mitsubishi Mirage, for example. It seems like Mitsubishi tried to shrink the car so that it can just fit into the A-segment. However, with Honda, things seem to change a little bit as the Japanese automaker seems to be lean towards practicality. You see, instead of competing in the A-segment as well just like the Mirage does, the Honda Fit (also known as the Jazz here) plays in the B-segment and it's quite big too. Carrying a chunky boot capacity of 335 litres, I think the Fit is a leader in its class. However, if you are satisfied with the boot capacity of the current generation Honda Fit, you may feel happier to know that Honda is already preparing the next generation Honda Fit that carries a total of 400 litres when it comes to bringing along your stuffs. Yes, you heard it right, it's the 2014 all new Honda Fit that's in the works! The car will make its first bow to the public of its home country by the end of 2013, after which it will also go global. But thanks to these accompanying Japanese scans, we're not going to have to wait that long just to know how the car will possibly look like. These scans manage to show us some parts of the car, including the interior and possible colour choices - two of which seem to be very bright neon colours - that Honda will be offering for its latest Fit. While the car is supposed to play in the B-segment still, it has grown a little, by 60mm (that's around a little above 2 inches). So, the car now measures 3,960mm. Well, don't be disappointed if you're keen on practicality that comes from a smaller size. The smaller the size of the car is, the easier it is for you to manoeuver through traffic, right? But, the good news is that passengers will have more spacious legroom, thanks to the wheelbase that now has a length of 80mm. This growth in size is probably partially due to the new architecture the car is being built upon. I believe it is this new architecture that Honda will also use in order to produce its very first SUV/crossover in the B-segment. Well, honestly, the car looks modern and is also prettier than the previous generation Honda Fit, although it does look kind of boxy in a few spots. The car also borrows a transparent nose that we've come to know from the Honda Civic hatchback of the previous generation. Now, let's get to the most important part of a car - under the hood. With the 2014 Honda Fit, we'll have the privilege to choose between a 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre VTEC petrol engines. And, if we choose the latter, we'll also be able to choose a six-speed automatic transmission. Yet, for those who live in the European continents of this world, a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 120bhp is also an available option. Actually, I would say that there's still one engine that Honda will probably offer with its 2014 all new Fit. That would be the hybrid engine with a total capacity of 1,500cc in addition to a power output of 110bhp. This engine is previously used by the Civic as well. However, this engine will only see the light of day provided that the seemingly hybrid car pictured in the scans is actually a hybrid car indeed. Despite a bigger size than its older brother, the car maintains a light weight. This is possible thanks to the fact that the head and block utilises aluminium alloy. So, with its bigger size that makes for more spacious legrooms, do you think that the 2014 All New Honda Fit is still practical enough for you to be interested in? If you feel like sharing your thoughts, the comment section below may be your best friend.
  17. The Honda Jazz (also known as Fit in some countries) is a popular car model on this island and many people associate it as a daily drive. You can virtually see them at almost every car park. To see it as a rally car would be something different and that is what Honda has done for the Jazz in Australia. Honda Australia recently unveiled two new Mugen tuned Jazz rally cars which will be used for the 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship (ARC). It is said to be the fastest Honda Jazz in the world and they have been designed to meet Group 2 (G2) specifications. The basis for the new G2 specifications is for the usage of front or rear wheel drive cars that are available for sale in Australia and the model must not be more than seven years old. Honda has increased its involvement in the ARC rally events this year with drivers from Evan Motorsport; Mark Pedder, Claire Ryan, Eli Evans and Glen Weston. Evans Motorsport has competed in rally events for more than thirty years and family members of Eli Evans are heavily involved in them. The Mugen 2.0 litre engine delivers over 200bhp and 193Nm of torque. Eli Evans and Glen Weston used a Honda Civic Type R for the past two years and they will start using the Jazz from this year onwards. The director of Honda Australia, Stephen Collins, mentioned that they are thrilled to be participating with Evans Motorsport racing the G2 Jazz and Honda is extremely passionate about racing and is proud to continue its support of Australian rallying with Evans Motorsport. The 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship comprises of 6 events held throughout Australia and will kick off on the 2nd of March in Melbourne. Honda founder Soichiro Honda once said that
  18. In order to gain the upper hand in the subcompact car market segment, Honda has unveiled the new 2012 Honda Fit in the United States (Honda Jazz in some countries). The 2nd generation Fit is one of Japan's more popular subcompact hatchback (with a total of more than 500 lots, there are more than 20 examples at my housing parking lot alone). First introduced in late 2007, for the 2008 model year, it is about time that this model gets an update. The Fit lineup continues unchanged into 2012, and still consists of the base Fit and the Fit Sport. Both get new cup holders, console ambient lighting, and additional sound insulation in the floor, front fenders, and A-pillars
  19. [extract] Honda has just announced a larger Fit a.k.a Jazz hatchback called the Fit Shuttle after brochure pictures of it were leaked. Somehow there is a demand for a more practical version of this car, which in my opinion is already a very practical car indeed. How much more practical can the Fit Shuttle be? Well, imagine a Fit/Jazz with a bigger hatch/rear load space and that
  20. Honda has introduced the Japan domestic market version of its new Fit (Jazz in Singapore) Hybrid alongside wth the regular Fit model, which benefits from a minor cosmetic update with equipment upgrades for the 2011 model year. The company's head of domestic sales, Hiroshi Kobayashi said Honda has already received 10,000 orders for the Fit Hybrid, which was given its world premiere at the recent Paris Motor Show. The newly-added Fit Hybrid will be offered locally at the starting price of 1.59 million yen, making it the most affordable gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle in Japan. Honda said the JDM version of the hybrid model has a fuel economy of 30km/liter under the Japanese highway test system. The car, which makes use of the same IMA system with a 1.3 liter i-VTEC engine as the Insight Hybrid, will go on sale in certain European markets from early 2011 as the Jazz Hybrid. Honda has not yet to announce its sales in other parts of the world. The new Fit Hybrid is joined in Japan by a subtly refreshed version of the regular gasoline-powered Fit with a 1.3-liter engine. The modest facelift is limited to new grille and bumper (front and rear) designs which are said to help improve the car's aerodynamic efficiency. Revised tail lamps and updated interior trims complete the facelift.
  21. Japan's Mainichi Shimbun daily reported that Honda will launch the long-awaited hybrid version of its Fit (Jazz in Singapore) subcompact in its domestic market in October with prices set to start from around 1.6 million yen, or about US$18,900, making it the country's most affordable hybrid model. The Fit Hybrid, which is said to employ the same 1.3-liter gasoline engine and electric motor set up as the Insight, will cost 400,000 Yen (US$4,700) more than the conventional Fit in Japan. At present, it remains unclear if the Fit / Jazz Hybrid will arrive in other markets outside Japan.
