  5. Was at Sepang last weekened for JGTC and to watch Formula Renault V6, and Formula BMW... I must say this newly formed racing team, a joint venture between Singapore and Malaysia, is doing REALLY well, unlike the political failure of the A1 Singapore team... Drivers include former A1GP Hafiz Koh who is a Singaporean and another Indian National, who is high on the rankings list and came in first, TWICE, at Sepang. Lets egg them on! Hopefully this continues to grow..hehe http://www.xxxxxxx.com/news/news.php?view=1&newsid=561 http://www.xxxxxxx.com/news/news.php?view=1&newsid=560
  6. Parking for half an hour - $0.50 Let's say at 7pm. We will place 7.00pm, 7.30pm, 8.00pm and 8.30pm. All together 4 coupons for 2 hrs. Isn't it e same if we place four $0.50 coupons all starting at 7.00pm meaning instead of tearing pic by pic we juz need to tear once wif all 4 coupons stack wif another. There is confirm no cheating and e amount stil go to HDB by using up the coupons. am i wrong to do that?

  11. 1. I wonder whether there is a specific weight ratio between Rims and Tyres? For example, a 7 kg rim should be matched by a tyre weight of not more than 7kg. 3. By looking at magzines, it also seems to suggest that the ideal weight ratio between rim and inch should be: (Rim size -10)/weight of rim). For example, (17-10/7)=1. Hence if a 17" rim is 8kg is overweight by 1 kg. What do you guys think? Regards,
  12. Schumacher and Ferrari have F1 in their grip The 2004 Formula One season was a case of one red car beating another red car as Michael Schumacher and Ferrari ran their rivals ragged. In capturing 13 of the 18 Grand prix Schumacher surpassed even his highest standards to waltz off with his seventh world title with four legs of the season to go. With the German's ever faithful sidekick Rubens Barrichello grabbing a rare slice of the spotlight in Italy and China Ferrari were celebrating their sixth consecutive constructors' title. Their domination came as something of a jolt out of the red after the 2003 season when Schumacher was only ensured of a record sixth title in the season-closer in Japan. This time the title race proved about as gripping as a F1 car running on slicks in a rain storm. Ferrari's near total monopoly can be attributed to the Italian team's brilliant organisation allied to the latest technology, the best driver of all time and rapid improvements to their Bridgestone tyres. [inline schumacher1-lg.jpg] Their superiority was also down to their rivals backfiring badly - they had a virtual clear-run until late in the season when McLaren's newly introduced car came good at Spa-Francorchamps. Kimi Raikkonen may have halted Schumacher's run of seven straight wins in Belgium but the German ace wasn't complaining as his second place was enough to hand him his seventh drivers' championship. Like the end of a Hollywood thriller there was an unexpected twist to the 2004 programme served up by Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya in Brazil - the perfect parting gift for Sir Frank Williams on his last drive before joining McLaren in 2005. Up to Montoya's last hurrah the British outfit had suffered a desperately quiet campaign. Touted as serious challengers to Ferrari's supremacy in the run up to the opening salvo in Australia with their highly-touted walrus-nosed FW26 proving something of a flop. [inline montoya1-lg.jpg] With the front rankers fluffing their lines the door was open for some of the smaller outfits to punch above their weight - step forward BAR. David Richards' Honda-fired stable surpassed all expectations with a second place finish in the constructors championship. BAR's success was in no small part down to Jenson Button's emergence as one of the grid's star performers. Although outright victory was to allude the Briton he can look back on the year with pride. A career breakthrough in Malaysia in March secured his first ever podium, and he went on to claim nine more top-three finishes, with four second places in San Marino, Germany, Monaco and China. And he said he will give his all for BAR in 2005 despite being forced to stay with the team against his wishes having been blocked from joining Williams by F1's Contracts Recognition Board. While exquisitely-equipped new venues in Bahrain and China meanwhile suggested F1 was awash with money the reality is better represented by the decision by Ford to pull the plug on the Jaguar team after four years in the sport. Last ditch attempts to sell off the famous British marque's racing arm to a fresh investor are being made before the November 15 deadline for entries. Typhoon Ma-on played a dramatic walk-on role in Japan forcing qualifying to be held on the morning of the race and such was the success of that arrangement that pole will now be decided on Sunday mornings throughout the 2005 season. [inline alonso1-lg.jpg] Whether qualifying will take place at all at Silverstone, home of the sport's oldest Grand Prix, is questionable however with Bernie Ecclestone's axe hanging over its inclusion in the 2005 calendar. Silverstone's owners, led by three time world champion Sir Jackie Stewart, are desperately looking for a way to save the event - although the signs are not particularly encouraging with Ecclestone ready to hand the slot to Mexico. Drab action on the track was in no way replicated off it where proposals drawn up by Max Mosley, president of the sport's governing body the FIA, to inject some fizz into the sport, provoked heated debate among the teams. 13. from www.grandprix.com >>Formula 1 does not often get much coverage in scientific journals but the latest edition of Nature magazine, the world's foremost weekly scientific journal, which was launched in 1869, featured a lengthy article about Grand Prix racing, entitled "Science in the Fast Lane" which provided a very positive view of the sport. The article suggests that "despite the secretive nature of the Formula 1 industry, the flow of information from aeronautics to racing is beginning to reverse. When Britain's Ministry of Defence began developing the current Harrier fighter jet, the GR.7, it drew on the expertise in composite materials accumulated by Formula 1 engineers" and quotes a Southampton University aeodynamicist Xin Zhang saying that Formula 1 has pushed the science and engineering expertise in some areas "to a level higher than that of aerospace engineering". In Zhang's view, understanding the flow around the streamlined body of an aircraft is "straightforward by comparison". Professor Peter Bearman, who holds a chair in Experimental Aerodynamics at Imperial College, London, says that his last three PhD students have all gone straight to Formula 1 and his department has now trained 40 Formula 1 engineers. The attraction, it seems, is knowing that one can make a difference. "Research in the aerospace sector is static in comparison," says a recent Ferrari recruit Barney Garrood, "with typical development times of 10 to 15 years. This is much more exciting, Being able to point to your own parts on a car - and then seeing that car win a race - is a real thrill." McLaren's new Technology Centre in Woking comes in for special praise from Professor Bearman, who calls the building "a temple to technology" which was designed to inspire the engineers who work there.
