  1. let's say you are caught in a jam... and you are on the 2nd lane... only lane 3 is moving slowly... and you need to change lane to lane 3 to filter left just ahead... you signal left, how do you know whether if someone on lane 3 is giving way to you? or does it all comes to experience?
  2. Do u ever regret after giving way??? I did, last Friday. I was on the left most lane and was going to turn left in 1km away. I was 2 car length behind the car in front. On my right front, half car length forward of me, a car signalled left. I gladly let go accelerator n slowed down for him to change lane. After lane change, the MF slowed down drasticly n kept a 4-5 car length from the car in front!!! I lan lan follow behind as my turn off n his were abt 600m away. After turning left, I accelerated quickly n overtake the MF. It turns out to be a 50-60 yr old man driving a COE Ford Laser. The road speed limit was 70km/h. Sometimes such ppl dont deserved to be given way. I should jus speed up n kept pace wif him n make him miss a turn. Jus thinking only.
  3. We had been taught to give way to ambulance as they are rushing sick or injured persons to hospital. Just can't imagine how to give way to this ambulance when it is behind you....................
  4. heard on 933FM just now.. TP giving out free new moon abalone and 20 bucks cashcard if you're spotted by them driving courteously..such as signalling before changing lane etc etc..
  5. This morning I allowed a bus to get out of the bus bay (as I often do - it is an offence not to do so in certain countries like Australia) and the guy behind horned at me. What is wrong with Singaporean drivers? Not giving way is bad enough, horning at people who do the right thing is just so .....
  6. Yesterday went and Pump my tank Full ,,.. to my surprise the cashier told me that they are giving out 19% DISCOUNT till MONTH END FEB...... SO Grab while you can ........
  7. Hello... I heard from my friend that Toyota is now giving out immediate COE to any car buyer out there without paying any additional 'gold' scheme money. Anyone thinks that this is another gimmick that they are trying to sell? Anybody got any infor? Think they are trying to clear their COEs... huh?
  8. Hi guys, I've just changed from Aspec db to mich preceda 195/55/15. The wet grip is definitely better than the abs happy DB. As for dry grip, I've noticed the car sliding at the rear when pushed hard. One thing that worries me is that the tire didn't squeak or produce any sound at the limit during hard turning. Since it was raining for the past 2 days, I was hoping it could be that the road was lightly wet, or i was imagining tthe rear was giving way. Of course, my tires only run in about 200km, but i don't think that makes such a big difference
  9. Hi all, just came back from the Genting/KL trip last wkend... On my way back, I saw one corolla. He was AMAZINGLY FAST!!!!!! He overtook me defintely more than 160km/h and at one pt, we both had to slow down to around 120-130km/h due to cars hogging on the rite lane. When the lane was clear, i picked up speed and when i got slightly closer to him, he stepped hard on the acc and he just pulled away from me!!!!! SCARY!!!! really pull away! (of cos not comparable to a sports car) but definitely too fast for a corolla!! in a matter of 20+ or 30s, he was so far alway from me and i was already doing 170km/h and still pulling away.. when i reach 180km/h, i close throttle due to the safety of everyone onboard and he was no where to be seen after that (my frend had a video clip filmed in his hp, interested personels can get it from meh.. hehee)!! CRAZY!! i estimated he could haf hit 200km/h or thereabts.. but i driving a FL N16 and i hope my meters reading fine.. cos from paper, it says a top of 185km/h, but the highest i hit was 190km/h. Think still can go alittle furhter.. but balls shrunk.. hehe.. Corolla drivers.... pls make some inputs... hehe.. my uncle drives a 1.6L corolla.. did 180km/h, still can go but from him, it takes some time to hit 180km/h. wats wrong with tat corolla! hehee.. i was concentrating too hard on the rd but my frend said its a 1.5l model.. GOOSEBUMPS!!!
  10. This one's for you, Uncle Foo, The 2003 Accord - don't believe what pics show. Take a good look at it in the flesh (or metal) and have your impressions changed completely. Great exterior (minus, perhaps, the Mazda6-ish grille), excellent shutline management and well sorted out interior. Love the hard-to-maintain chrome door handles, too. After-market 16" rims a must to avoid the aneamic look of the standards. Yours for a mere $106-grand, it's just knocked itself into my personal top choice for my 2-litre car of choice. By far. Oh yeah.... Now, if someone could post some pics that would do justice to the car......
