Hi guys and gals. I am asking this on behalf of a friend. He drives the previous model Honda Accord 2.3litre auto. He is not satisfied with the performance. Is there any where he can improve the performance. Appreciate all suggestions and comments. Thanks beforehand

Dear all Carforum members!! I would like to make some suggestions to this forums! I see that there are lots of good guys sharing their infos about where to get their cars fix and recommendations made. Why not we just compile it all together??? I mean have all the good and reliable workshops and their specialities all listed down in the lists?? Maybe the prices for difference services and repair Similiar like the Makan Sutra! We will have our My CarForum Sutra by doing this then we will know whereabout to get our lovely and precious cars repair and serviced!And have a peaceful mind that our cars are in good hands! Yester i just went to JB to "Jalan" around and hunt for good service workshops. I found one workshop near to the Holiday Plaza that does 4 wheels alignment, rotation and balancing (all Wheels) All at only $50Ringgit !! I am not very expert but i can see that they are using computerized 4 wheels alignment! After doing all these i find that my car actually become more stable and not that rocky anymore... Maybe u guys like to give a try... but do not go there to changing any parts!! very expensive .. more ex than singapore... i Know cos i have been asking around to get my car suspension change.. thought get a Malaysia made KYB will be more cheaper there... but sad answer is "NO".. keep pouring in more recommendations!!! Me have start the ball rolling hee hee

Was thinking of getting an elantra auto. Went for a test drive last week and found it quieter then mazda323. Anyone got the elantra recently and your views ? Thanks for any pointers given.

i have just switched to a drop-in sponge type HKS airfilter for my Airtrek...... mechanic told me actually sponge no doubt gives good air flow into the engine, but may not be suitable for road use...... he only uses it for track and replace with new one after every track session??? ...... also heard if the sponge elements break up and get blown into the engine, the sensors may be covered by it and mulfunction.... true or not???? Any advice will be much appreciated....... Thanks

It's common understanding that if the engine is in optimum combustion state, one of the output is water... However, I realised that on my car, and many others, it's common to see water dripping out of exhaust tip in the morning when first started up. After driving for a while, you dun see water dripping out of the exhaust tip in ANY car ! BUT, in the morning, when the engine first power up, it's supposed to be running rich for warming up ... So, running rich -> leads to water as byproduct <> Optimum combustion ? Anyone can explain ? A simple explanation I can think of is that, the exhaust becomes so heated up that the water turns into vapour before it reaches the tip ?

Brudders, My current ride is a 2001 G9. My odometer is close to 70K and the last time I went BM was about a year ago. In between, I have been doing only normal servicing (Spark plugs, Oil filter, Engine Oil change & Air filter) and car is in pretty good shape. I was thinking of going to BM for them to do a thorough check (fanbelts, coolant, brakes, transmission oil, fuel filter, timing chain etc) to ensure everything is OK and also fix my creaking driver seat and vibrating the HU. But I heard it will cost a bomb and also BM service level has gone down. So my question is.... Are there any good reliable workshop that can do the same thing without waiting the whole day, don't con and is reasonably priced? TIA

hi All, dealer selling above 1.8 turbo for 70k, 1 owner, mileage claimed as 19k km..... is this a good buy??? i tot the yearly depreication gotta be low 7k pa to be worth the while... dealer said it's about 8k++ pa....... thanks in advance for any info/advice cheers

I don't know so asking. I seen so many damn ads that it is hard to tell good from bad. Plus it is hard to tell if something is good when you haven't really heard it while driving yet.

Came across this website in the US that has a polymer sealant. They are quite inexpensive and was wondering all you detailing experts out there, is this product possibly that good? Is there already a similar product available in Singapore? Any comments please?
