If you are traveling from woodlands checkpoint, after you cross the Malaysia Immigrations, just follow the road straight and don't turn to any roads. The road will lead you on a scenic route to Danga Bay which you will see on your left, DANGA BAY, enter the road that says, FESTIVE MALL, and you will come to a huge carpark. That would be the drifting ground for the Round 2 D1 GP Malaysia Series. If more details are released from D1 organisers, it will be posted up. For those who wished to come and support our Singapore drifters, you are welcome to do so, entrance to watch the D1 Grand Prix is free. Thank you.

  6. Dear all, For those who loves drifting and those who wish to see some car sliding actions, D1 GP is coming to JB which is very near to Singapore. The drift King, Tsuchiya Keiichi is coming to Malaysia too. D1 Professional Drift Grand Prix Round 2 at Danga Bay, Johor Bahru is on the 22nd April 2006 ( Start from 9am to 11pm). Qualifying starts at 3pm and actual race starts at 7pm. So, those who wish to go and watch, better be early to avoid the big jams coming to Danga Bay. Expected crowd : 10,000 The Blitz-Yokohama D1 SPL Silvia of Imperial Concepts will be there for the race. How to go to Danga Bay : Once you cross over to Malaysia Customs after Singapore, just go straight along the roads, don't turn left or right to any road, and this road will lead you to a very scenic road of which you will see Singapore on your left side, after about 10mins of driving, you will see the signboard : DANGA BAY, go along the road some more, until you see FESTIVE MALL @ DANGA BAY, turn left into Festive Mall, follow the road to the mall carpark and you will see all the drift action happening on your left. Veteran motor sports personality Kuala Lumpur-based Genji Hashimoto, president of Amprex Motor Sports Sdn Bhd and Inada Daijiro owner of D1 Corporation today launch the D1 GP(Grand Prix) Malaysia Series in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Datuk Dr. Leo Michael Toyad. Hashimoto said Drift car racing, popular in Japan, USA and Europe will be staged in Kuala Lumpur and several towns in the country. Amprex Motor Sports Sdn Bhd is a Kuala Lumpur based motor racing team and motor sports event company with experience in the Japan SUPER GT Series, FIA GT, The Merdeka Motor Endurance Series(MME) while D! Corporation hold the rights of the "D1 Professional Drift Grand Prix Series" Hashimoto said that at least five rounds of the D1 GP Malaysia Series will be held in Malaysia where leading Japanese "drifters" will compete with local "Drifters" to further promote the motor sport event in the region Among the Japanese "Drifters" are top drivers from the Japan SUPER GT series like the "Drift King of Japan" (Dorikin)" Tsuchiya Keiichi, Manubu Orido, Nobuteru Taniguchi and the D1 GP Series 2005 Champion, Kazama Yasayuki. Tsuchiya is credited to be the pioneer in drift car racing and popularizing the sport in Japan. Hashimoto said that prize money will be awarded to winners and sponsors are invitied for the inaugural five GP races in Malaysia from March to November. A points system will be awarded for the top three winners who will receive trophies and prize money and top three of the series have the rights to enter D1 GP event in the USA which will be held in December of this year. On Jan 21, a preview of the D1 GP Malaysia Series will be held in Bukit Jalil Stadium carpark "A" at 5pm. Admission is FREE Japanese Drift King "Dorikin" Tsuchiya Keiichi, 2005 Champion Kazama Yasuyuki will give an exhibition and also be the judges of the event with the owner of D1 Corporation, Inada Daijiro.   10. Hi to all, I just bought the PS2 game GT4 and guess what? GOT SKODA! Nah, I wish. Tan ku ku..wait long long.. Damn, got all the car brands except Skoda. Got Audi, VW and even SEAT! But no Skoda.. Haiz...is Skoda so unpopular till this extent? They can include VRS or 1.8T mah. Superb also can. Even Chevrolet, Lancia and now Hyundai but why no Skoda??? Boooooring.....
