Hi all, i may have kena "photoshot" by a hand-held speed camera used by a plain clothes guy in white standing on the overhead bridge. Was along queensway near the macdonald there, i think speed limit was 70 but was travelling at 80+, 90, rushing for appt 1st time i saw a hand held camera without tripod. has anyone seen such a speed camera b4 and kena also? pls share. So far i've only seen mobile speed cameras that are quite large mounted on tripod. this one was only as big as a hand held video cam. -
I heard or have read somewhere that there's a vacuum function in a powered hand drill.. and that when drilling, all the dust will be vacuumed into a compartment built-in in the drill. Anyone knows and come across this kinda drill? I wanna get one.. Thanks

Hi ppl, am currently considering a few cars, one of which is a grande punto 1.4M. I have some questions I hope that can be answered by someone in the know. -Any known problems with the car? Anything ranging from little niggles to a "die die must take note" kinda problem. Please share. -How is the actual FC like. I know they advertise it as 16km/l is possible. Or is it really? -Does its rear seats fold to extend the boot? I hope someone who owns the car would also share the good and bad of living with this car. Many thanks.

See many people dumping their less than a year or slightly a year car for a second used car. Really tempted to do so to make some gain. I only got my avante at 36k (with interests). Now i super gian used colt version-r or SSS.

I saw an ad at the rims section. A set of 18" 2nd hand PS2 going for just $550. I wonder if its a good deal. Its much cheaper than the Federal 595 tyres (the only brand I can afford). Thus I wonder if the PS2 will offer better grip than the 595. Road noise is not a concern for me. I am just more concern with wet grip and durability.

What is the maximum loan possible for a second hand car? 90%? 100%? Does how many more years remaining plays a part?

If I retained my old car plate number from my sold car for 1.3k, and now want to use it for a second-hand car i want to buy, do i still need to pay LTA 1.3k? or another sum? Try looking at onemotoring.com and it is extremely confusing. Anyone know this, please help. thanks.

does it warrant a discount when you find out the second hand car is 2nd or 3rd owner? do you ask the dealer to discount abit or at least 10-20% more instead of a regular 1st owner second hand car?

Hi, i am considering to purchase a 2nd-hand car but i am not very familiar with the procedure. I have several questions. Can anyone provide me some advise? i currently own a normal black plate sedan car. intending to sell my car and buy another 2nd hand car. My car has 7 years loan, now at 4plus year. Q1) Assume the 2nd hand car i am going to buy is 3 years old, what should i do first? - buy the 2ndhand car, then sell my car? (will the bank approve my loan since i already have an existing car loan which i havent sell yet) - or sell/trade-in my car, then buy the 2ndhand car? Q2) If the 2ndhand car has 5 years left, is it possible to get 7 years loan? or i can only get a maximum of 5 years loan? How about a car left 3 years? What is the max year to loan? Q3) i still have $20k outstanding loan for my car. If i sell my car for $42k in the resale market, does it mean i will get back $22k cash? is there any other hidden fee that i need to pay anyone or the govt/LTA? Q4) i always hear people talk about breakeven. May i know what does breakeven actually mean when changing a car? Eg. 7 years loan, 5 years is the best time to change car? Sorry for the many newbie questions.

Bros! Tp with hand hell unit at road shoulder just before the CCK overhead bridge at 1030am 27/10/2010 on kje!!! Anyway was travelling at 100+ ..he was hiding just afer the turn ..handheld unit is it nv chase u that means never kenna? Or is it same as those tripod unit send letter to ur hse?

Hi Guys I'm planning to buy an opc jazz from my friends colleague. Will be checking out the car this weekend. It was registered around Jan/Feb 08. The mileage is rather low <40,000km. I assume its still under warranty from KM? Besides checking the service log, should i bring the car back to KM for a check before buying just to be sure? If i do plan to go ahead with the deal, i plan to make a 30% down for the car with 6-7 years loan. Will the down payment be paid to the seller or the loan company? Asking price is about $38k, OMV around $14k. What would be a reasonable price to bargain for? First time buying a car so still trying to figure out the procedure. Thanks!

Hi guys After many donkey years of taking public transport, i've finally decided to get my own ride at a young age of 34 I've never owned a car before hence i decide to go for a 2nd hand. My budget is about $35k plus. And after scouring through sgcarmart, i've narrowed a few choices that i like 1. Mazda 3 2. Lancer GLX 3. Civic ES 2005 Still a swinging bachelor hence i prefer something sportier. Im aware of the pros/cons of each car after reading numerous review. But i do like the civic very much. However being 5 yrs old, it might be too old. I donno. My driving will be mostly done at night and during the weekends. I work in town so taking a train to work is much faster for me. I'm also undecided if i should go for an older model but normal plate, or newer model but OPC. Decisions, decisions decisions. ARGH!! Would like to know to your thoughts on this. Appreciate other car recommendations as well.

hey i've just bought a 3yr 2nd hand latio for around 1-2mths ago. i've been washing my car every weekend using the Armourall 'Wash and Wax' and then rinsing off with water. its a very simple routine. hwever lately i've noticed some stains that just wouldnt come off no matter how hard i scrub. (my car colour is white) one of the stains include having yellow lines below my fuel tank cover. 1) how do i get rid of them? 2) are there any other care products i should use to better protect my car paint? 3) how do i get rid of stains in my interior, above the dashboard (the part where u put coupons on) there are a few stained spots i suspect the previous owner had stucked ornaments onto it. thanks for any advice given. hi..i'm driving a 98 1.3m lancer with 41k COE! thinking of changing to another car that dep lower..is it worth it to get a 2-3yrs old car in the 2nd hand mkt? i noticed that the price is only cheaper by ard 5k+ for most models and most cars only cover warranty for 3yrs so any prob i'll hv to fork out $.. is there any particular yr's used that that the most worth it to get or should i get a new car instead? pls advice..thinking of getting rid of the current ride soon else i'll lose out more as day goes by. 1 more q, norm hw much % do dealers charge when u get em to scrap the car?
