Brazen car thieves make away with rear tyres of car in HDB multi-storey carpark 22 Jan 2010 Beware car owners: your car may be targeted by thieves even if you're parked in an HDB carpark. Using a small jack and brick, thieves had stripped this car of its rear wheels. STOMPer Mexx was shocked when he saw the state of his Lancer EX 2.0 in the morning on Jan 19. The car was parked near Block 299, Compassvale Street. He thinks that the thieves struck in the early hours of Jan 19, and he is appealing for witnesses. In an email to us on 21 Jan, he recounted the story to us: "On 19 Jan 2010 7am, when I went to my car in the HDB MSCP, I was shocked to see that both of my rear 17" sport rims and tyres were missing!!! "The rear of the car was supported by a very small jack and a brick. "I called the police immediately. "The CSI have already dusted my car for finger prints. "I have lost my rear two wheels and both my side skirtings were damaged by the jack and the brick while the car was supported by them. "In fact, while waiting for the tow truck to come, the jack was bent and the brick was cracking under the weight of the car. "I can see that the exhaust was already depressed on the kerb. It was really frustrating to see the car in such a state!! "I am staying in Blk 299 Compassvale Street. Does anyone have similar experiences? Hi all, Asking this for a friend. At the end of his in-camp, the CO announced that the unit will be mobilized on the Saturday after, i.e. outside the formal manning period. There was only like less than a day's notice. Can this actually be done? I mean, if they can do this, then what's the point of the manning period since they can jolly well mobilize the NSman any day they want. Comments?

i saw this not long ago... a van driver open the door too fast and knock on the car beside with a bang, as i was smoking opp them waiting for my friend. the owner of car was eating at the coffee shop beside his car (3-4 car away), run to stop the van driver... then both talk & talk...think the van driver keep saying nothing wrong with the car... and wanted to leave... then this car driver give a big kick!!!! a super bang!!! to the van door... which door dented!!! and both call police... who is right or wrong??? anyway the police take 20 min to come, and both start to hit each other at the end the police just record and ask them to leave... nothing police can do... but i was thinking... if i am the car owner... at night i park at carpark... people open door and hit my car door many many time also i don;t know... so what is the big deal!!!!! as long as no dent ok what... what for kick people's door and fight????

The first one is a world event whereas the second one is a local case. 1. The experiment to prove the "Big-Bang" theory conducted quite some months ago (by some European countries) involving the acceleration of electrons or atoms to travel around some infrastructures across several countries. Have the electrons return? A lot of money was spent to conduct this experiment. 2. Rev Ming Yi's charity case.

I have nothing against commerical vehicles but I believe some of them may not understand the risk involved. 3 family members die in accident JOHOR BARU (Malaysia): Three members of a family and a van driver were killed in a horrific crash between a car, a van and a chemical tanker yesterday morning at Km22 of the Pasir Gudang highway here. In the 9.30am incident which involved nine victims, Abdul Razak Mustapha, 25, sister, Muhaini, 22, and nephew Adib Rafiqi Adni, five, who travelled together in a Proton Wira were killed on the spot. The van driver K. Kucheran, 47, died on the operating table at Sultan Ismail Hospital. All were believed to have died from severe head and body injuries. The injured were Abdul Razak's brother Ulul Azmi, 18, sister Ruziah, 35, and her other son, three-year-old Adib Raqli. They were on their way to Muar to attend a wedding. Two of Kucheran's colleagues in the van with him, S. Kumara and K. Surash, who are in their 40s, also sustained injuries. Seri Alam district police chief Superintendent Roslan Zainuddin said the tanker driver, who was in his 30s, was currently being held under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for alleged reckless driving. Roslan said the incident was believed to have taken place after the tanker driver, who was on his way from Johor Baru to Pasir Gudang, lost control of his vehicle and skidded into the opposite lane before crashing into the car and van. He said it was also believed that the tanker had rammed into the van first before it hit the Proton Wira. The dead and the injured were rushed to Sultan Ismail Hospital here, except for Adib Raqli who was admitted to Sultanah Aminah Hospital's intensive care unit. Roslan urged those who witnessed the incident to contact the Seri Alam traffic police headquarters at 07-3861422 to assist in police investigations. At the hospital, Ulul Azmi, whose right arm was fractured, said he was sleeping, and woke up suddenly when his brother, Razak was screaming about a tanker approaching. "I was jolted by my brother's scream and saw that we were fast approaching the tanker, which had already hit a van. "My brother immediately braked but the car did not stop. The tyres were screeching and the car was swerving violently, before ramming into the lorry's left side." His father, Mustapha Rasul, 60, said they were supposed to meet in Kulai before travelling to Muar.
