  3. hi guys, I got a roll of headlamp film that I bought from sonic racing a while ago, went to Juzzwheelz at bukit merah as recommended by sonic to install on my headlamps. Juzzwheelz did for me 2 years ago for 20 or 30$ and was now quoted 50$ to do the same job. materials are provided by me. any other alternative that I can go to instead of this joint?
  4. anyone has lobangs for this job? i googled and found xpel, lamin-x .. but they are ex! my intent is just to protect my lights from crack
  5. Hi, Need to know if there is a big difference between oem xenon headlight bulb and original in term of quality, lifespan, price? One of my headlight bulbs just blown off last night. At first it turned purple, blinking then kaput :( ....
  6. can the headlight beam angle be adjusted (lower or higher), as i noticed mine is "shooting" very low to the ground. noticed there is a screw, with teeths around its edge, on the headlight unit, is this for adjusting the angle? btw, i'm driving a AE111. thanks.

  11. This topic was discussed back in 2003 but most of the lightbulob was no longer in production liao [laugh] in SG, the street light its even brighter than my 55W H4 halogen so no issue actually but if i drive in malaysia at night. Its really terrible, i have to turn on my fog light as well in terms to have a better view at areas without street lamp. im thinking to upgrade it to something legal, wondering there is any recomendation? Few of the affordable H4 bulb I could find are: 1) Osram Night Breaker Plus 2) Osram Silverstar 3) Philips X-treme Power any comment for those who use these bulb before? is it muh brighter than factory fitted bulb? LTA friendly?
  12. I understand this is a very 'noob' question.. but still have to ask :P keen to learn anyway.. i wanted to change my headlight blub (hyundai matrix) but it seems like the battery and some other parts in the hood is blocking the opening.. my hands are not so small to change it.. do i need to take out the entire headlight to change the bulb?? thanks in advance :)
  13. Anyone knows the specific guidelines regarding aftermarket headlights? I have a car which comes with your ordinary reflector headlights. Its an old car, so headlights are a pain in the *** to find. Found this aftermarket brand which has a set which: -uses projector lens, but are designed to work with normal halogen bulbs and not HIDs - no angel eyes or anything funky - has a DRL strip inside, but which I plan to permanently disable. Not a fan of DRLs anyways. Will even spray over it if it would make the headlight legal. Any chances of me passing my inspection with these headlights?
  14. Hi all, I ever came across a site that shows car model (like the one made from tomica) that place on the dashboard of the car. The unique thing is the car toy model is links to your headlight and signal lights ie eg when you on the right signal of your actual car, the right signal of the car mode will light up, likewise to the headlight. It looks cool. Any body know who to do it? Thanks in advance.
  15. Having already announced the introduction of full LED headlights in its new 6-Series range, BMW is moving onto the next wave of advanced lighting technology with laser. BMW engineers are currently working on the introduction of laser light in car headlights, with the aim to improve safety as well as efficiency. Laser lighting is radically different from sunlight and other types of artificial lighting in common use today. Being monochromatic in nature and coherent, laser lighting can produce a near-parallel beam with intensity a thousand times greater than that of conventional LEDs. In addition, the high efficiency of laser lighting means that laser headlights have less than half the energy consumption of LED headlights, helping to save fuel ultimately. Whereas LED lighting generates only around 100 lumens (a photometric unit of light output) per watt, laser lighting generates approximately 170 lumens, about 70% more. From an application point of view, laser lighting diodes are very small as compared to the square-shaped cells in LED lighting, thus opening up more room for creativity when designing cars. If you are afraid that the laser lighting will burn up the pedestrian

  22. we went to collect our new continental car from the collection centre but found 2 issues whilst checking it. 1. HID headlights will fog up on the inside of the lens. AD did a 1 for 1 replacement but the problem is not solved. 2. built-in GPS cant locate some addresses which have been ard for 4 years AD claims that GPS will never have 100 percent map coverage AD was not able to rectify the issues any further thus we had to take delivery of the car. Is fogging inside the headlight a normal occurence or a design flaw from factory? Has anyone had trouble with their GPS locating address that are not new?
  23. This only occured on my right side I never mod HID or open the light leh Should be under warranty right?
  24. Any opinions on bonnet and headlight protectors while travelling on North South Highway? Are they useful? Read thru some online reviews. Some mentioned the bonnet protector is useful, but only to a certain extent as it can only protect that small front portion. Stones deflected may be directed towards the windscreen. And the clips may scratch/damage the bonnet's paint. As for the headlight, is it tough enough to withstand hits from flying stones? Or is a protector necessary?
