But some of us like myself dont have kids to help destress, so kindly please share different methods of how one can manage stress. Of course there are immediate stress relieve technic and there are those that require time to do so, like playing sports. For me, I enjoy playing badminton, cause can smack and release those things built up in me. But recently dont have time leh. Does squeezing a stress ball actually works?

  7. from Yahoo: 'Leftover women' in China face tough choices in looking for love SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Xu Jiajie has gone on countless blind dates and to numerous match-making events over the past five years in search of a husband. At 31, the baby-faced office worker from Shanghai is under enormous pressure from family and friends to get married. But the right man is hard to find, she says, a big issue for urban, educated and well-paid Chinese women in a society where the husband's social status is traditionally above the wife's. "My parents have introduced every bachelor they know," said Xu, who earns double the average wage in Shanghai. "Half of the bachelors I met are quiet and never go out. Outgoing men don't need blind dates." As couples celebrate the "Qixi" festival on Tuesday, the Chinese equivalent of Valentine's Day, Xu and millions of women like her face stark choices as long-held ideas about matrimonial hierarchy run up against economic and social changes sweeping the world's most populous country. The term "shengnu" - directly translated as "leftover women" - was coined to refer to professional women who have not married by their late 20s. "Chinese people often think males should be higher in a relationship in every sense, including height, age, education and salary," Ni Lin, who hosts a popular match-making television show in Shanghai, told Reuters. "This leads to a phenomenon in which A-grade men marry B-grade women, B-grade men marry C-grade women and C-grade men marry D-grade women. Only A-grade women and D-grade men can't find partners." link: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/leftover-women-ch...-054109510.html I had seen their Match-Making shows, some are very pretty chio bu and is just that the competitions for men is very high in China...

  11. look around your neighbours and watch the FT coming with infested luggages. Once open, it crawls without knowing and multiplys as it moves on. Just seen one family threw away all mattresses with a bold written note not to be recycled. Those renting their flats or rooms out, make sure this will not happen. Once the bugs are hiding inside the PVC trunking, you have to vacate the house for pest control. Bugs dont live on high temperature. Beware even you are traveling, staying in hotel and back home, watch those bags lying around on the carpet/floor. Always air your bags under sun before storage.
  12. Hi I'm asking to see if anyone has experienced driving a Toyota Alphard in Japan (specifically in Hokkaido would be good). As we're headed there in June, I'm curious about how different the model is compared to the version we get here in Singapore... I need as much luggage space as possible, and as it is, the local version's last row slides forward just enough that I can load the luggage for the six of us.... I'm wondering if the seat configuration (2-2-3) and "configurability" is similar.... Thanks in advance!
  13. [bigcry]Turned from sungei road into bencoolen street when the red arrow sign is on (following the taxi next to me) accidentally. Thank you.

  15. http://sbr.com.sg/economy/news/here-are-6-...poreans-incomes Here are 6 ugly facts about Singaporeans' incomes There's a downward trend in average monthly incomes. According to the Singapore Social Health Project 2013 by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, declining trend in average monthly incomes and the increasing cost of living have made many Singaporeans feel vulnerable, especially those from lower-income families. The inadequacy of CPF for many who are retiring poses a threat to the well-being of the fast ageing population of Singapore. Singaporeans, especially the lower income, are increasingly finding it difficult to cope with escalating costs. The Gini coefficient has also increased, reflecting greater income inequalities. The report outlines six points that describe the current trends in Singapore's income security. 1. Real growth in average monthly household income per member increased for all residents in 2012; poor households suffered a decline in incomes. Income security in Singapore declined for the low income between 2010/11 to 2011/12. The lowest 10% are the hardest hit with a decline in wages in 2012. Gross real median wages across the common occupations listed by the Ministry of Manpower fell in all nine occupation categories from 2007 to 2011. 2. Cost of living has increased, eroding the purchasing power of savings. The inflation rates of 5.8% in 2011 and 4.6% in 2012 were higher than the average inflation rate of 1.9% over the last two decades. The inflation rates exceeded the 4% Central Provident Fund (CPF) interest rates on the Special and Retirement Accounts. 3. Inequality has increased. The Gini coefficient for Singapore increased from 0.473 in 2011 to 0.478 in 2012. It is the second highest in the world according to the Human Development Report among "very high human development countries
