  1. It's just launched in Thailand. So ours should arrive soon too I suppose. http://paultan.org/2014/01/23/2014-honda-city-launched-in-thailand/ Looks to me that a high spec City is all the car that most people would need. 6 airbags, VSA, cruise control, rear a/c. Looks like no sunroof for Thai cars unlike India. It's amazing how 'low end' cars have so much kit these days (case in point:the Kia K3)! This level of equipment used to be only in much higher end cars.
  2. TLDR - The meme before the video starts This situation is just free entertainment for the camcar. The meme below sums up all you need to know honestly. What happened? A Toyota MPV driver on the causeway decided to start a fight with a Honda Vezel. We don’t have any context to this as the video starts here, but I assume it’s because the Vezel is trying to cut the queue and go first. The Toyota driver got out and kicked the Vezel in the side. That kick had some oomph to it. Some words were exchanged when the passenger of the Vezel decides to step out in the driver’s place. Reminds me of Jojo stands, or sending your Pokemon out to do battle. The two men proceed to argue, with the Toyota driver gesturing to his vehicle. I assume this is to point out his car is in front. You might be thinking this is obvious, but the Vezel driver sure doesn’t think so. Both sides have raised hands. There’s a lot of pointing and pushing around before the Toyota driver eventually concedes and goes back into his car before driving off. The Vezel passenger lingers and waits for him to leave before going back into the car, as if expecting a sudden comeback. And finally the queue moves again. It’s a shame there’s no audio. Online chatter Some people criticised not the fact that the argument happened, but that it didn’t escalate to blows being exchanged. Two others noted the Toyota driver starting it by kicking the Honda. Humans are dark… Others made jokes about how they look like they were going to kiss, or how the Vezel driver sent to passenger out to find in their stead (John Wick 4, IYKYK) ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. Source: https://www.lowyat.net/2023/300587/japanese-brands-hydrogen-bike-engines/ Specifically Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha, with Toyota being a "special member". When it comes to clean alternatives to fuel, much of the conversation is centred around electric vehicles (EVs). Every once in awhile, hydrogen engines come up, but these are usually talked about with regards to cars or larger vehicles. Four Japanese bike makers are looking to change that, as they have announced a research partnership for developing hydrogen-powered combustion engines for motorcycles. The research group is collectively known as the Hydrogen Small Mobility & Engine Technology (HySE), comprising of Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha. Beyond the four, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Toyota are also included as special members of the association, which has been granted approval by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Each of the four companies also have their roles within HySE quite clearly defined. As per the press release by Honda, the company will be responsible for “research on the model-based development of hydrogen-powered engines”. Suzuki, on the other hand, will be working on “element study on functionality, performance, and reliability” instead. Yamaha will be working on the tank and refueling systems, while Kawasaki handles the auxiliary equipment for the tank and fuel supply system, as well as the equipment in between the fuel tank and injector. Both of these companies will also be doing “hands-on research using real hydrogen-powered engines on their functionality, performance and reliability”. Among the challenges faced by those looking to make hydrogen engines for bikes is due to the fact that they are smaller, and therefore have more limited room for hydrogen fuel cell storage. Japanese online publication Kyodo News also reports that HySE is also considering installing these engines onto boats and even drones, should this research in making hydrogen engines for bikes be successful. The report also notes that while members of the association are working together for the research, the decision to make anything to be sold commercially is up to each company.
  4. Hi guys, Anyone knows or can recommend a tyre shop here in SG that offer good price and service? I planned to do it in JB but when I read in the forum, some of them said that the price not much different or even more expensive compared to SG perhaps due to tax, but alignment is cheaper in JB. Well I am looking for 224/45/17 for my car. Please share if you guys knows any shops. Thanks in advance
  5. Going to get a Honda Civic 2007, any known problems i should look out for and change? How much will the estimated costs be? Thank you!
  6. Another facelift, for a 6 year old model... The sensor activated sliding door look interesting, and will be good if it work as intended.
  7. Hi guys! Any Edix ride around here? PM me!
  8. This is a whole other level of blur. What happened? A Honda Vezel was caught driving against the flow of traffic on Balestier road, and did it in full view of a police vehicle on the road. It is unclear how the Honda got there as they seem to have gone quite deep in the wrong road, with the correct one only a stone’s throw away from him. This meme should be an accurate example of their reactions. Netizens, of course, found this hilarious. Others also questioned the driver’s skills (or lack thereof). ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 9. What Are Honda B1 Service Codes? If you have a Honda car or SUV, chances are you have noticed a code that reads “B1” on your dashboard. This alerts you that your vehicle needs an oil change and a tire rotation, both of which are important for safety on the Sharon streets. 10. Dear Bros/Sis, planning to go Malaysia, JB to do an internal rewrap or fabric work on my honda civic F4. Any bros know of any shops that does this? Or would Singapore have any affordable shops to do such a service?
  11. TL;DR – The owner of a Honda Vezel desperately seeks witnesses or video evidence of a white BMW cutting into his lane and hitting his car, causing an accident in its wake. Unfortunately, the uploaded footage did not catch the BMW’s licence plate. I find it a little strange that the dash cam did not get the license plate. Watch this short 17-second video to see whether you find it strange as well What happened? Quoted straight from the SGRV Post Video got cut? I’m not sure whether it’s the impact of the BMW hitting the Vezel or some technical glitch. But the footage gets cut immediately after. Maybe there’s more to this story than meets the eye? Online Chatter Most comments skew towards the Vezel driver being a road hogger rather than the BMW’s hit-and-run offence. That’s loco! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  12. TL;DR - A Honda Shuttle driver decided it was not the day he waited in line on the way into Malaysia. Unsurprisingly, the car ended up getting rear ended by an oncoming motorcycle. Everyone who has driven into Malaysia would know how shag it is to wait in the ‘cars only’ lane for what feels like eternity. And of course, as humans, we tend to always find the easiest way out. Much like this Honda Shuttle. In this 40-second video, you can witness the aftermath of laziness: So, what exactly happened? The Honda Shuttle driver decided to make his way into the ‘motorcyclist lane’ to avoid the hassle of waiting in his lane. But things do not always go according to plan - a motorcyclist kissed the back of his car, and it resulted in some considerable damage to both parties. Tough luck, my man. It should mean something if there’s no other cars in that lane, so please use your brain and think if you should even swerve over... no? At least for me, I would very much prefer to follow the crowd than to go on the headlines for the wrong reasons. That’s going to cost me my image and also probably a hefty sum of money to get it fixed… But let's dive into what netizens are saying: Oof, the commentators are having fun mocking the driver… ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 13. TL;DR – A Honda Fit cuts into the path of a cam car in an extremely reckless manner, nearly causing an accident. Caption from the video post on Roads.sg Facebook page. Watch the 10-second video below to find out what it means. What happened The incident occurred along Bukit Panjang Ring Road at about 6.45pm on 7th of December 2022. A blue/purple Honda Fit filters onto the main road and immediately changes lane recklessly. This abrupt lane change causes cam car to jam the brakes and depress the horn. It’s a short one today but let this serve as a public service announcement of sorts. Moral of the story There will always be idiots on the roads like this. It doesn’t mean that nothing will happen to you even if you have the right of way. Keep that in mind folks. Online Chatter As always, let’s see what people have to say. True stories. It refers to the Honda Fit. Just in case anyone’s wondering. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  14. TL;DR – A Honda Fit turns right onto oncoming traffic and casually makes an illegal U-turn straight after. It’s not every day you get to see a small hatchback like a Honda Fit make a super-wide U-turn. How wide, you ask? Like driving against oncoming traffic before making an illegal U-turn kind of wide. Watch the 31-second video to find out what I mean. What happened It all begins at a discretionary right turn at a cross junction, location unidentifiable (if you know where this is, do let me know in the comments section below). A Honda Fit makes the turn but accidentally turns into oncoming traffic. While most drivers would hit that panic button at this point, this Fit driver calmly makes an illegal U-turn, cool as a cucumber. A very expensive u-turn As noted in the caption of the post in Roads.SG's Facebook page: But there are some other considerations as well: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users – 9 demerit points and $300 fine Reckless or dangerous driving – 24 demerit points and prosecution in court Personally, it feels like an accident, and the driver made a calm and composed decision to rectify the mistake as soon as it was safe to do so. But as always, let’s see what netizens think. Online Chatter Hmm. Doesn’t seem like it though. That's quite funny. Is this comment targeted at the driver, or the comments flaming the driver? I'm confused. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!

  17. https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Automobiles/Honda-eyes-reviving-iconic-NSX-sports-car-as-EV?utm_campaign=GL_asia_daily&utm_medium=email&utm_source=NA_newsletter&utm_content=article_link&del_type=1&pub_date=20220921123000&seq_num=11&si=44594 Honda eyes reviving iconic NSX sports car as EV The car could highlight company's shift to battery-electric propulsion Honda plans to end sales of the NSX by the end of the year. (Photo courtesy of the company) PAUL A. EISENSTEIN, Contributing writerSeptember 21, 2022 11:30 JST DETROIT -- With only a handful of special editions left in dealer showrooms, the Acura NSX from Honda Motor seems ready to drive off into the sunset. But we might not have seen the last of the iconic sports car. When it was first introduced back in 1990, the Acura NSX served to demonstrate the technological prowess of Honda's luxury Acura brand, a strategy repeated with the launch of an all-new NSX in 2016. Now, Acura planners are giving thought to how they might bring the premium sports car back to demonstrate the brand's upcoming shift in direction. While he declined to say whether a third-generation NSX is set to follow, "I would bet on it," said Vice President and Acura Brand Officer Jon Ikeda at American Honda Motor Co. And if it does, he said in an exclusive interview, "it's going to be [all-]electric." Loosely based on the 1984 HP-X, the Honda Pininfarina eXperimental concept, the original NSX debuted as a 1990 model and was used to highlight such technological breakthroughs as the use of an all-aluminum body and chassis. It remained in production, with an ongoing series of tweaks, for the next 15 years. After spending nearly a decade exploring ways to revive the iconic nameplate, Acura brought the NSX back in 2016, this time as a three-motor gas-electric hybrid. It was lightning fast, rocketing from 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds, and used the unusual drivetrain's Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive system to give it the sort of handling that even Ferrari struggled to match. But production recently wrapped up with the end of a limited-edition run of NSX Type-S models. And, at least officially, Acura says it has no plan to bring the sports car back. No official plan, but company officials tell another story on background, noting that a third-generation NSX would be the perfect platform to highlight the brand's shift from internal combustion to battery-electric propulsion. Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe has shifted gears to EV production. (Photo by Tetsuya Kitayama) While parent Honda was an early pioneer in electrification, the carmaker was long reluctant to embrace pure battery power, much like its bigger rival Toyota Motor. To meet strict California emissions standards, Honda formed a joint venture with General Motors. That will see it bring two battery-electric vehicles to market in 2024: the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX. But, since taking over as CEO in April 2021, global CEO Toshihiro Mibe has shifted gears. Mibe plans to spend $40 billion to have his company go fully electric by 2040, with 30 BEVs due by the end of this decade. The plan actually expands on Honda's ties with GM -- the two set to work up a series of low-priced, all-electric models by taking advantage of their joint economies of scale. But Honda also is developing a BEV platform of its own. Dubbed the e:Architecture, it will provide the underpinnings for both mainstream Honda and highline Acura models. And that's where a new NSX would come in, according to Ikeda. It would fit its role as a halo nameplate and provide a clear indication of what the new battery-car platform is technically capable of. Battery propulsion systems are, by nature, capable of delivering impressive performance, noted Ikeda, as electric motors deliver maximum torque the moment they start spinning. And a number of automakers are putting that to good use already. Even mainstream models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and Volkswagen ID.4 can deliver sports car-level 0-60 (mph, or 0-96 kph) times, depending on their configuration. Extreme machines, such as the Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Dream Performance edition, are turning in some of the fastest launches ever, at barely 2 seconds. And Croatia's Rimac is hinting at a new model that could cut even that time in half. But Ikeda cautioned that a new NSX wouldn't simply deliver rocket-like speed. As with the second-generation hybrid model, the goal would be to demonstrate extreme levels of handling and other technological advantages. "It won't be just about straight lines," he stressed. The final decision on bringing back the NSX will likely be up to Mibe, Ikeda acknowledged, though the new CEO's support for electric power appears to be a solid sign that a new sports car will follow. The real question, Ikeda and other insiders said, is one of timing. While Acura will have Prologue, its first long-range battery-electric vehicle, in production in 2024, it will be a couple more years before its first model based on the e:Architecture platform is ready. And that, several said, would seem to be the perfect time to debut a new NSX. Late to the BEV market, Acura could need a halo product to show it can truly compete with the likes of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Lexus, as well as all-electric brands such as Tesla. If Mibe gives the go-ahead, that could see formal development of a next-generation Acura NSX begin within the next year or two. Paul A. Eisenstein is the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of TheDetroitBureau.com, an U.S. automotive web magazine.
  18. Yes, ALOT is happening in this video, and the title speaks for itself. NGL, I am actually surprised I managed to summarise the entire video within the title itself. Watch it here: What Happened? After entering the AYE, a Honda HRV driver decided to perform something bizarre - he changed lane into a red Lexus ES not once but TWICE, despite having empty pockets of space to switch lanes into. During the second bump, the Lexus ES was forced into lane 2 of the AYE, causing it to cut off a Shopee Xpress van. As a result, the Shopee Xpress van had to brake hard to avoid rear-ending the Lexus ES. However, a motorcyclist riding behind the van could not react in time and smashed into the van, resulting in the motorcyclist flipping over. Idk about you, but the Honda HRV driver ought to be handed some heavy consequences for his actions. It is as clear as daylight that the Honda HRV driver did not bother checking his blindspot before changing lanes at the very last minute, which caused the accidents. Netizens' Comments Likely, the Honda HRV didn't even know about the presence of the red Lexus because he didn't bother turning his head to check his blindspot. I might be wrong, but it seems like the Honda HRV performed a hit and run after side swiping the red Lexus ES twice.... Wishing the rider a speedy recovery!! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!

  20. There are various meanings behind tailgating or "poking" another motorist. In general, it is used to show displeasure towards a motorist who is "road hogging" lane 1 of an expressway and telling him to move to a slower lane, or to "jio" someone to race. Watch this video of an Audi S3 who decided to "poke" and tailgate a Honda Accord Euro R to show his displeasure: What Happened? Two drivers of an Audi S3 and a Honda Accord Euro R got into an online dispute over a misunderstanding. The dispute started when the Audi S3 intended to overtake the Euro R (cam car) from the left, only to be blocked by the Euro R, who switched to the left lane simultaneously, intending to let the Audi S3 pass him. After misunderstanding the Euro R driver's intention, the Audi driver decided to "poke" and tailgate the Honda driver to show his displeasure. However, the Honda driver kept his cool and minded his business, while the Audi driver continued driving aggressively, creating a tense atmosphere between both drivers. Subsequently, after the incident, the Euro R driver took to social media and called out the Audi S3 driver for his behaviour earlier on, which he felt endangered the safety of both drivers, the Euro R driver's kids and other motorists around them. Read it here: Haiz. Incidents like the above give the car community/car enthusiast a bad reputation, whether intentional or not. Netizens' Comments Sad eh. Next time want style up own car also need think twice liao. Good job for that!👏 ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  21. Many drivers flock to the expressways or tunnels in order to have a quicker and more efficient journey. Most usually drive reasonably and abide to traffic customs and display good road etiquette. However this Honda Vezel took the meaning of 'quick' way too seriously, and his rush to get ahead ended up affecting the poor Mitsubishi Lancer who stood in its way. See the video here: Honda Vezel 1, Mitsubishi Lancer 0 The poor Mitsubishi Lancer! Its side mirror never stood a chance. Off it went to its spinning demise, spurned to the dusty tunnel floor, to be rolled over and flipped about by the other cars, for the rest of eternity. From the top: Even when the Vezel was behind the cam car, we can see that it has already been pushing past the long row of cars before. Then after he got past the cam car in question, here he is shown, speeding ahead. Oh no, watch out! Then, the tight squeeze... Leaving us to the first picture we came from: RIP, mirror! You are dearly missed. Time for judgement After the video was shared online, there were thoughts to be had and shared: That's right, because the Vezel certainly wasn't sparing any thought for the others around him, while blatantly disobeying traffic rules. Only motorbikes could dream to weave in between the gaps left by cars around them; not huge and bulky Vezels. We're not saying we condone license plate plucking but... Finally, one comment had a very good explanation as to why the Vezel was so eager to pass through the line of cars ahead: Lol! Understandable, but not an excuse for his behaviour. Mind your actions on the road please Because of their selfishness, the Vezel driver posed a danger to the cars around them, even damaging another in the process. Don't be like them. Not only will you be cursed at, but you could get into trouble too. Singapore's Road Traffic Rules states that "no vehicle shall be driven, moved, stopped or allowed to remain at rest on any shoulder or verge", unless there is a valid reason. We hope this lawbreaker learns from this incident. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 22. "Wan le wan le wan le, BBQ le" is the most recent trend on social media - Heard of it yet? If you haven't, watch it here: What Happened? While turning out to the main road along Horne road, a Honda Vezel driver failed to stop at a stop-line and rear-ends a motorcycle in front of him. Instead of paying attention and keeping a lookout for traffic in front of him, the Honda driver decided it was a good idea to check for oncoming traffic, despite the presence of a motorcycle in front of him. As a result, the Honda driver accelerated before the motorcycle in front of him moved off and rear-ended it in the process. Frustrated After getting rear-ended by the Honda Vezel, the motorcyclist lost his footing and almost fell to the ground. Meanwhile, his pillion fell straight to the ground and landed on his back. Based on his gestures, the motorcyclist seemed so done with the Honda Vezel driver for committing such a silly mistake, which resulted in the accident. Thankfully, the motorcyclist and his pillion did not seem to be injured. Netizens' Comments There really isn't a way to please everyone😩 wot... Checking for oncoming traffic before the vehicle in front moves off is definitely something most drivers are guilty of. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 23. Hi all guru, i am driving a honda stream 1.8x 2009 model. Just purchase this car from close family member. He is a careful driver thus i believe that the car has no previous problem. But recently i realise that my car has slight longer time (1second more) to start engine when i turn on the key. SPark plug was removed to check and is in good condition. Also, i experienced loss of power when going from 2000 rpm and above..specially when im trying to change lane and speed up. The car behave like "a buffalo", cant accelerate as fast and car from behind already came near me!! And sometime i tried to rev the rpm to 5-7rpm, i feel that the car is "free gear" ...i feel that the engine just keep turning at high speed but it feels that it nt engaged in any gear **(hard to explain this feeling. the car seems to be at free gear which i cant really control the speed but to let go accelerator then the accelerator seems to be engaged into the gear for me to control the speed) I tried to top up full and drive slowly. Full tank is about 470-480km. But the consumption sometime still state 9.9-10.2km/l I heard from my close family he used to get 11-12. Would like to check if anyone has this problem for high fuel consumption loss of power when overtaking (*seriously mus solve this problem) thanks in advane!!
  24. Last weekend, there was a story that went viral of a Jaguar XE driver causing a huge jam on the single-lane road just so he could snatch up the parallel parking lot, only leaving when the police were called on him. Watch the video for yourself below. The video mainly shows the dispute between the Jaguar XE and the Honda vehicle. The black Jaguar was jutting out of a parking lot along Cheong Chin Nam Road with a male driver in white pants standing beside the vehicle. Next to it was a black Honda Odyssey stationary in the middle of the street. From this particular video, it seemed as if the Jaguar XE driver was refusing to budge so as to secure the parallel parking lot, thereby causing a huge jam on the single-lane road. The owner of the Jaguar XE, presumably the male in the white pants, was yelled at by a woman wearing a black jumpsuit and a pink top. This has been confirmed to be the Honda driver. He has been branded as an entitled douchebag by many netizens, However, is there more to this story? The Jaguar XE driver’s account According to the Jaguar XE driver, he actually did not intend to park at that spot at all and had actually wrongly entered the parking lot. He also tried to reverse his car after the realization of his error. According to him, his car gear selector knob was stuck as well, making it necessary for him to restart the car multiple times. He accused the Honda driver of being aggressive towards him, oscillating between hurling vulgarities at him and “punching violently” on his car window and explained that he remained stationary so as to wait for the arrival of the police. He now claims to be fearful of his safety and reputation after the swarm of online comments that seemed to blame him for this incident. Revealing that the car actually belongs to his girlfriend, he claims to be worried that the videos would draw negative press to her. Is he telling the truth? Judging from the video, he seems to be appear pretty relaxed with one hand using his phone and after which with both hands in his pockets. According to healthline, one's posture can offer some insight as to what someone is currently thinking. And based on this article, leaning on something, like a car for example like how this man is doing, can often suggest boredom or disinterest. Generally, he seems to give off an arrogant, disinterested vibe as well. It seems as if he wasn't that anxious to get out of that spot after all. Netizen Comments According to the comments, there seems to be a lot of negative press surrounding him. Some Netizens don’t seem to buy his explanation either It seems as if the perception of him by the public is not exactly stellar. Personally, I feel like the Jaguar XE driver might just be trying to save his @$$. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community.
