  2. In the human body, which organ is in charge? All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge. The brain said: "I should be in charge, because I run all the body's systems, so without me nothing would happen." "I should be in charge," said the heart, "because I pump the blood and circulate oxygen all over the body, so without me you'd all waste away." "I should be in charge," said the stomach, "because I process food and give all of you energy." "I should be in charge," said the rectum, "because I'm responsible for waste removal." All the other body parts laughed at the rectum and insulted him, so in a huff, he shut down tight. Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, and the blood was toxic. Eventually the other organs gave in. They all agreed that the rectum should be the boss. The moral of the story? You don't have to be smart or important to be in charge... just be an a$$hole.
  3. How often do we just change 2 of the tyres? I guessed in Singapore's context, most people swapped all 4 at each change. http://www.michelinman.com/tire-care/tire-...eartire-change/
  4. Quote:Drive.com.au http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...age:ClassiePuff A new study in the United States has found that red light cameras may do more harm than good. By RICHARD BLACKBURN. Red light cameras significantly increase the risk of crashes at intersections, according to a new study released in the United States. Researchers at the University of South Florida found that cameras increased crashes and related injuries because drivers were slamming on their brakes to avoid fines, causing rear-end accidents. They also claim that some red light camera operators in the US have shortened the time that a light flashes orange in an attempt to increase revenue.
  5. 1. I'm of the thought that door protectors strips are important to cut down on the number of dings on your car doors. Personally, I felt that center door protectors seem more effective than those cars with a buttom door protectors. Of course, there are also some that don't come with any door protectors at all. 2. I wonder what is the rationale of some car manufacturers having door protectors that are mounted at the buttom of the doors? Do you know? Regards,

  7. 1. Do you also consider a car manufacturer's financial standing prior to buying the car? 2. There were many examples of car manufacturers that their books went into red but people still buy their cars. Aren't they afraid of the cars being discontinued or debadge to some other brand names later? Regards,
  8. Hi Guys, Saw this article today. cheers LONDON (Reuters) - Over 125,000 motorists and passengers in Britain could be being injured in accidents each year purely because they have not adjusted their head restraints properly, a study has found. The study by insurance researchers Thatcham, argues that although 80 percent of head restraints in new European vehicles have received good or acceptable safety ratings, many motorists are failing to use them in the correct way. Around 250,000 UK motorists suffer whiplash injuries every year, of which around 10 percent lead to permanent disability. Matthew Avery, Thatcham's Crash Lab Manager said of the findings: "the head restraint should be seen as every bit as important as the seat belt". The survey of 1,400 motorists blamed the number of injuries on a lack of public understanding on how to use head restraints properly. The restraint should be touching the back of the head so that the body absorbs the force of an impact as a single unit rather than bending back at the neck. The survey also found that only 25 percent of men and 43 percent of women used their head restraint properly. "These figures are shocking," said Avery. "If people are made aware of the risks they are running, they would take a few seconds to adjust their restraint whenever they get into a vehicle." The study said Thatcham crash dummy testing showed a dramatic improvement in the quality of protection offered by manufacturers this year. Saab and Volvo continue to lead the way in whiplash safety, it said, and singled out Honda for special praise, saying the latest generation of Honda Civic and CR-V models had gone to being rated "Good" from their "Poor" rating of previous years. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...ec=worldupdates
  9. Power The power an engine develops depends on its design. In general, the more air an engine can process, the more power it can produce. Major design considerations for power are the displacement of the engine, the compression ratio, and the presence of a supercharger or turbocharger. Other factors affecting power are the number of valves per cylinder, valve timing, and spark timing (see Chapter 5, Gasoline Engines). Because different grades of gasoline have essentially the same heating value, they all provide the same power in a given engine as long as their antiknock performance meets the engine
  10. Hi guys... I've recently read this thread in MCF abt ECU tuning from Autovox. Also piggyback chip. But this new chip doesn't bypass any sensors in the car... Problem is... I've forgotten where that thread is... Has anyone read or seen that thread? Can please show me that link? Thanks all...
  11. The original poster boasted of 2 coats of AIO, 6 coats of Platinum Paint Protection and 4 coats of Mother's Carnauba. The next guy shot him down with a picture of his car with just sealant! Link: http://www.web-cars.com/detail/phorum/read...i=12057&t=12057
  12. Dear all, 1. Do you guys feel that Airbags and ABS are basic industrial safety features for our cars? 2. What do you think of car distributors that sell low cost cars by removing Airbags and ABS? Are they doing more harm to the brand or they're out to earn a greater margin from us? Regards,
  13. Important Warning: Removing the thermostat to increase water flow because your vehicle is overheating is dangerous to your engine and is NOT what you want to do. Not only does the engine take longer to warm up, causing excessive metal-to-metal wear, but once the engine does warm up it can get too hot because the thermostat also controls the length of time that the water is in the radiator so as to dissipate the heat to the atmosphere.
  14. I would like to know your priority when deciding what wac to use for your car.
