Hi I'll be going for my 1st vehicle inspection soon, what are the mods need to be taken out? 1) Coilovers installed (lowered to 2 fingers) 2) 17 inch sport rims 3) BMC CDA (heard must take out???) 4) 4 Point Strut Brace (heard must take out???) 5) Lightly tinted head and tail lamps (lighter than front window) Pls give your comments. Apologise if I sound like a noob.

Hi bros and sis, A newbie car owner here. Just went for my first car inspection at Viccom last weekend and to my horror, my ride failed the test. for info, the wheel alignment and the headlights fail. I have no idea how it is possible as i did not do any mods to the car, especially not to the headlights! any bros and sis got any ideas how this is possible? will normal day to day driving cause the alignment and headlights to fail? also, whats the market rate nowadays to re-align the wheels? I was quoted $100.. fair? thanks very much

hi all, my OPC seal was slightly bended due to a minor accident (bumped into the rear) but still intact... Do the inspection requires the seal to be perfectly 100% in its original form to be passed, or as long as it is intact and cannot be removed is also passable?

Bro my car going to 3 years . and LTA send me letter go for inspection . wat had to take note during inspection . 1 ) wat thing had to bring there . 2 ) my inspection is on jan 09. Can i book early , before 1 month ? 3 ) wat is the procedure when i drive in vicon center ? Thanks -
Dear friends, Been experiencing this warning on my car, only this morning at 65,000km after 2 years 11 months. Could not find anything related to this warning on the manual. Appreciate if someone can enlighten and share, if any, ways of doing away the warning sign. Servicing is not due till 66,666km. Thanks in advance. Ivan

Hello. As you all know by now that my car is performance upgraded but I will be going for inspection this Friday. How can I reduce the emission and noise to pass it? I heard adding Octane alot will decrease emission so much that it's not detectable even with straight through system? What about my supercharger? Should I remove it?

My 1st inspection due.. need recommendation on which centre to go for a fuss free inspection? My ride no mods except for a strut bar so should be inspection safe. Hope solar film within specs tho..

Overall Pass, but with a red stamp, stating "Conditional Pass. Pls rectify the problem before inspection due date" So is what? Just rectify the problem can liao, no need to go back re-inspect? The fail item there marked "M", what it means?

Hi all I had a friend just kenna a major accident, and went to the autorise workshop for repair. However after the repair, she find the workshop workmanship is very lousy -It take the workshop two months to realise that the ECU is damage,now she is driving a car with a different car model -The paint work is lousy -Use a different car model radiator -use a different car model inner wheel fender We had complain to the insurance company, and they ask her to go do inspection and provide all the prove. Please advise where can she do the inspection/check up for the car by a neutral party?and what is the cost? Thank you very much

hi to all brothers.....need help as going for my inspection just wanna check my ride's(CS3) been decat and header changed to 421 and operated muffler......i managed to find my stock muffler but not the header or the stock cat(is that what it is called) anyone know any workshop to change back to stock to pass inspection or how to solve this....INSPECTION should be done by 16.6.08. which inspection centre also should i go for some leniency....thanks in advance.....if can't tell here can PM me pls

Hi guys, I'm driving a latio and contemplating whether to operate my muffler to semi-flow or changing to a universal "sports" muffler. The downside of operating is that it is a one-way ticket and is very hard to find 2nd hand stock muffler except Tan Cheong when I want to swap back. Another way is to change to a universal muffler whereby I can revert back to stock any day. One question I need to ask is universal muffler normally needs welding and I'm not sure whether I can pass inspection by the 3rd yr even if I change back to stock cause of the welding marks. Any bro with experience can kindly advice? I know it is illegal and carry a fine :)

I would like to check When you have non stock exhaust pipes, do you guys pass your inspection easily? I need to send my EP80 (with not passable pipe) in for check soon so as to renew my road tax. Anyway to pass without spending big money. Any advices or comments? -
Hi guys my 92' Swift failed its inspection at Vicom Yishun because the exhaust manifold is not original and as a result the car is apparently "too loud". This conclusion was made after revving my engine up to 4-5K rpm! Tried to reason with the fooker that the old one had corroded long ago due to age but he insists that I will be able to find an original one at scrapyards, as if I'm so free like him?! Stupid thing is that this is my second time doing inspection there and I didn't have such an issue the last time around. Can anyone advise me here or thru PM how I can get this damn inspection over with? My road tax/insurance needs renewal very soon

hi gurus, bros, sis, I'm goin for my inspection soon. i need to know that if my wheels/rims is protuding slightly , out of my fenders will i have any issue to pass the inspection? I think my offset is slightly out.. i think ard 0.5 inchers anyone got such expriences? can help a newbie like me.. many tks regards

have heard of shops or fellas sending in rides with modified exhaust for inspection for a fee to ensure that inspection passes. Does anyone have such contacts? kindly pm me. shop has to ensure that car with modified exhaust will pass inspection please. thanks in advance

I purchased my car in Feb 05. Feb 05 -> Feb 06 -> Feb 07 -> Feb 08 -> Feb 09 I have to send my car for inspection before Feb 08 (going to 3 years) or Feb 09 (after 3 years, going to 4th year) Which inspection centre is more "lenient" ? Thanks

Car due for inspection, so go workshop ask them do alignment and check brakes... As CO2 I always pass, so didn't bother to ask mech to check. Just changed drum brakes 2years ago..so fast need replacement, got mech to change them. No stock, so waited half hour for them to arrive. Changed front brake pads around 2 months ago... Monday went down inspection, happy to see if need re-inspection, now only need pay 30 bucks.. Pray hard and passed! Yeah!! Think the only thing fail is the headlights alignment thingy but I know that is minor...

Confirm Legal - Body Kit - Side Signal Wing Mirror - Exhaust Tip Cutter (Exhaust System is Stock) - Front Grille - Window Film (SE Confirm Legal) Are these Legal? - 17" Sports Rims w/ 215/45/R17 Tyres - Internal Sprayed Black Headlamps (Never block the main beam area) - Lowered Ride - Tinted Rear Taillamps (I suppose these are illegal?) - Foglamps (Aftermarket but got 'CE' logo..) - Air Charger - Drop In SS Filter Anything else with my ride its illegal? I think I have stated all of them...
