  1. if you got money to buy a japanese sport car, which one would you choose. i think i'll want the nissan Z, look sporty.
  2. Hi, was on ECP to Cantonment after picking up my sister from Japan when I encountered a motorist who think he's exhibiting cool aggressive driving(IMHO, he's actually driving recklessly). He entered the expressway, drive all the way from extreme left to right without signalling or checking his blind spot and was about to swerve into lane 1 (he tink maybe he machiam Initial D, drifting from lane to lane???) had I not horned him (which IMO, I think he nber noticed I was beside him). He had to jam his brake to avoid kissing a car on 2nd lane. My eldest sis from Japan said that she would like to take over the wheels & show the chap a thing or two about real aggressive driving just to teach him a lesson. Wah I cannot imagine what the outcome would be like if she's behind the wheels cos she's a really experienced long-haul driver plus with her fair share of aggressive driving experiences contributed by trailer drivers over there.
  3. Hi, any bro know where to do those Jap wordings stickers... customise names in Jap wordings. Saw quite a number of cars on the road but got no idea where to do it... pls help...thx a million
  4. Yet another "Spastic Automotive Insight"! Of course we all know the popularity of 4WDs or off-roaders who can't actually go, well, off-road. They're more suitably named Soft-Roaders. We've got some new versions of soft-road veterans, and some newcomers - all joining in for a piece of the pie. Yum. Here we go. The 2006 Toyota Rav4 The Mazda CX-7 (in picture is the concept, but the production car will look the same) The 2006 Daihatsu D-Compact Write up 2006 Toyota Rav4: This is Toyota's 3rd gen Rav4. Very popular in singapore, will and probably sell very well. Think the specs offered will be the same as the current model. So no surprises here. The Mazda CX-7: Well the one in the picture's the Mazda MX Crossport, but the Mazda CX-7 will no doubt look the same as the one in the picture. It looks really sporty, and for a reason. It's Mazda's first attempt at the "part sportscar, part 4WD, part chio-looks" market. It's gonna leave most other soft-roaders in the dust with its V6 engine. Think this one will be a hot seller in singapore, IF (and that's a big "if") they can keep the price reasonable. The 2006 Daihatsu D-Compact It's Toyota's attempt at getting at young drivers or small families. Perhaps that's why it looks a lot like the current Rav4. Think buyers of the current 3-door Rav4 will get the D-Compact. Entry level specs should be a 1.3litre or 1.5litre. But judging from the way the Daihatsu brand is perceived here, Borneo could be getting Toyota to badge it as a Toyota instead of a Daihatsu. Don't know, but im pretty damn sure you'll see it on our roads next year. The end. Gotta run. Got meeting.

  7. Watching the news just now. It really ridiculous that the Jap Government are seeking damages from China for the aftermath of recent Anti-Japanese demonstration at various parts in China. What an ironic!

  10. JAPANESE SPORTS CARS OVERTAKE EUROPEAN MODELS HERE J-POP on wheels Call it J-Speed: Hip, sleek and at half the price, Japanese sports models are giving European marques a run for their money By Christopher Tan THEY'RE hip, they're fast and they're hot. Meet the J-pop of cars: sports models from Japan which are feeding a growing fad here. In just a decade, these cars have zoomed ahead of the fast and the furious from Europe, fuelled largely by lower prices. Most cost around $150,000 with certificate of entitlement - half the price of the cheapest Porsche, against which some of them can give a good run for their money. The x-factor -- the fact that it was in the movie X-Men II -- drew Ms Linda Lim to the Mazda RX-8.-- BRYAN VAN DER BEEK Price aside, the larger variety of models has also helped rev up sales, which received a further boost recently when Wolverine in the action movie X-Men II gave cachet to the Mazda RX-8. Said banking executive Linda Lim, 27, who is sharing the car with her lawyer boyfriend: 'I saw it in X-Men II and it's so cool.' Today, more than 1,000 J-sports cars can be found on Singapore roads, exceeding the 900 or so European sports marques such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lotus and Maserati. It is a significant growth in 10 years, from just two models - the Subaru WRX and Mitsubishi Evolution - to a crop that now includes the Honda Accord Euro R, Honda Integra R, Nissan 350Z, Toyota Celica and, of course, the Mazda RX-8. Each of these cars packs more than 200 horsepower and can easily exceed 200kmh. Related links:
