  1. Watch this video ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrgKTYIvWCo...player_embedded Youzhny goes absolutely bonkers on racket during fourth-round loss to Tommy Haas As Grand Slams enter the second week, so does the hope of pulling off the unthinkable for some of the lower-seeded players who have advanced. Enter Mikhail Youzhny, the 29th-ranked player in the French Open field who had drawn Tommy Haas in the fourth round. Youzhny, a 30-year-old from Russia, has had some impressive meltdowns in the past, but his play on Monday in Paris was good enough for another. Getting absolutely drilled by Haas, Youzhny lost it after going down 3-0 in the second set (Haas won the first set 6-1 in just 22 minutes), smashing his racket nine times before hiding under his towel for a few personal moments with himself. The smashing didn't help as he went on to lose 6-1, 6-1, 6-3, but hey, this blog didn't get its name from guys keeping their cool under pressure! h/t Beyond the Baseline

  3. hi bros, I just bought a used '07 Getz 1.1M. Everything is stock on the car except it comes with an open pod filter. Is it expensive to change back to stock air box? I intend to purchase one from stockist and DIY replace it. Anything I need to look out for? Also will appreciate if you can recommend cheap place to get Hyundai parts as I am 1st time Korean car buyer :) thank you.

    Pay $5 For

Would you pay? I ever saw people (foreign student) walk into casio watch shop, take picture of the watch that they are interested in, check online on the spot, not one but a group of them. I admit i did that a few time on books and toys with barcode scan [:/]

  7. Bought from the heart, not the mind..... Just signed on the sales agreement moments ago and I wanna know which WS would you send your AR to? I guess that the few WS that service Alfa will be as Alfa Sportivo, Alfa City & City Motors. I phoned them up to check on the service history of my car & at one point of time, AS was servicing her but they dont wish to review the last owner's details to me.... Later on, I had spoke Tony about the new car and he had said that it is time to have the timing belt change.... And I should be sending the car over to him within the next few days. Any reviews, things to note and the WS etc????

  10. Recently one of my colleague left the company forgoing the bonus that will be given out at the end of the year. It caught many of us by surprise. Then I got a job switch opportunity this week. Just like to know if you would jump switch when bonus time is coming at the end of the year with the following : 1) No AWS and/or bonus from current company which pays out at the end of the year. 2) New job's salary abt 10% more than current one. 3) Transport allowance around the same. 4) New job offer a supervisory post over the current one. 5) Both job locations are around the same area. 6) New job local only while current needs to travel regionally. My current job is service engineering which requires me to travel to customers' area.
  11. either another idiot slammed on the brake becoz of cashcard not in IU or another MO there is one big van between S300 and kangoo Altis after the ERP line seemed to be workshop 'guy', just speculating..
  12. Did it on Friday night actually at one of the most unusual places...... in a shopping centre basement carpark.....lol...... [laugh] The whole process took over 3hrs. Started work at around 8pm and finish around 11.20pm..... Sorry I didn't take any pics... The main benefit is improved battery lifespan. Its known that engine bay heat does shorten the lifespan of a battery (just google around). Since engine bay temp is easily 60-70C, putting it in the trunk will reduce temp by well over 20-30C. Hence battery will last longer. Another benefit is perhaps improved weight distribution. No idea about this though. But I think Satria Neo is front heavy since engine and gearbox is in the front. Putting battery Behind will help to reduce ~15KG from the front and add another 15KG to the back. OVerall, there is a 30KG change in weight distribution. Quite alot if you ask me. Hence those Satria Neo owners may want to relocate their batt to the rear. Not a difficult task but time consuming. Need to take out seats. part of the carpet etc.....

  15. The same saying for lady, There are no ugly women, just lazy women. Does it apply to men? Can a men become Rico Suave if he put in afford on the dressings and personnal grooming? Like a nice watch, shirts, pants, and elegant leather shoes? And perhaps hairdo and apply some cosmetics? Will such ugly/normal guys, transform to become a handsome and desirable guy? Many ladies put on make ups and turned into princess and sex goddess looks. Many guys will lust to be in bed with these pretty ladies. Will the reverse be true for well groomed guys? Will the lady lust for such men? How come there are no TV shows for male, where they teach how to wear shirts and pants to cover the fat tummy or fat thighs. Or how to groom the eyebrow, hair, lotions to make the skin glows. Or what kind of bags, wallets, watches that will make the man stand out from the crowd. Comments? P.S or do the easy way....just buy a expensive car and the babes will come no matter how ugly/old the guy is?

  17. Weirdly, I have no idea what the car in front is trying to do... 1) Turn out from the right side of the road...then go to the middle... 2) And starting reversing... (No signal, no display intention that you want the lot on the left) 3) Worst. Reverse all the way and keep so close....expecting me to give way?? I'm happy to give way if there's space....but there's cars on the right, can't expect me to reverse and give way because you want to take the lot without signaling your intention?
  18. No compaigns, door-to-door visits, rallies, battle cries nor slogans And certainly no drama at all. Just some fanciful brochures sent prior telling you what will or will not happen after you voted and a 歌台 at a void deck blasting loud music with a skimpily-dressed singer belting out Hokkien songs just outside the polling station. Yes a fully functioning 歌台 though small but with all the works [shocked] Wow. Oh did I mention a free umbrella given as an incentive for those take the trouble to come & vote? Eye-opener for a sua ku like me in a LUP polling. And it will cost me a cool $S1,245 from my CPF either in full or via installments in 5 or 10 years, interest of 7.5% to pay for the new lifts if more than 75% of the folks are in favour of the upgrading. Definitely not be as exciting as another more anticipated polling event come 26 May 2012 somewhere nearby [laugh] How about your LUP polling?
  19. Read with interest that we are not that bad or worst place as survey been done. Here are the top 5 .......... Yahoo report : The World's Rudest Nations for Travelers The travel search site Skyscanner.com surveyed its users about where the locals never smile and people are particularly unfriendly, and the nation with the most votes for rudest locals was
  20. As per topic.... Most Sinkies are just complainers and tend not to be confrontational and take on an issue even if they have the right to... But some Sinkies react BADLY if they are confronted with an issue which they are in the wrong.... Take for example... 1) A person who lives in a house and places an objects to 'reserved' a place on the public road directly opposite his front gate everyday. When other drivers come by, even if there are no vacant spot to park their car....they tend not to dare move the 'object' placed to 'reserved' the spot on the road to one side and park their car. I stood by to observe how drivers react and most reacted as above. 2) A driver improperly parks his/her car and caused obstruction and inconvience to others. When told to park his car properly by others , he/she reacts badly unless when told by proper authorities to do so and then they quietly obeys. Ppl here are getting a better living environment and are more educated but fares badly on social behaviour unless under enforcement. Is this where Sinkies are heading in a so called World Class living environment?
  21. After reading a few threads on MCF, noticed alot of men complaining about women parking and so on. Women can be good drivers too, some even skillful leh...Men just don't get it and can't accept. hiaz... Ladies are welcome to post here. Hope to know more female drivers khaki here. Women can multi-task, can drive, can make themselves pretty, can take care of their loved ones. Not good enough? P/s: this is a friendly thread, i do not welcome members trying to create trouble here. thanks!
  22. I have been reading the forum with great interest as it seems there are many many caring people still living on this planet. They have very strong views when it come to topics like spiralling housing cost, car prices, generally anything and eveything that cost money here. BUT, to me all these are cheap talk and mostly to serve some ulterior motives from what we can feel here. Why not we channel all this energy to doing something good that you can do now instead of waiting for the govetnment to step in to lead, which many will be quick to term as hypocisy. There might be things that are out of our control but there are also certain things that we can do within our means to improve the life here. Simple things like giving free tuition to helping out in old folks home or orphanages to donating cash and kind generously, etc. It should not be too difficult to do since most of people here seems to earn alot or are very free to be able to surf tbe forum the whole day. This is givingback to society if you like. And it need not be a publicise event, just need to pop into any needy organisation near your housing estate and ask how you can help. You can do it in your free time. Or our forum could adopt some needy home or have some annual charity events that can even serve to give free publicity to this forum. Everybody just give $50 only will be able to bring in a sizeable amount given the number of active members and their affluence level. I will definitely gladly make the donation if there is one. If we value this place as home, this is the least we can do to make it a better place instead of just comprain, comprain, and even more comprain which make the whiners look like old grandmothers and still not leading to anything as there are many variables and take a long time to achieve even if posdible. Mods, or anybody, want to start the ball rolling?
  23. is the court the right place to conclude what went wrong with the mrt and then make a decision how to improvement it...and i think I heard from the news that the judge say it is not to find who is reponsible...but to find out what went wrong ??? well...unless it is act of god...else definitely someone or more than one person is responsible...to point to the fault is as good as pointing to the person... then we have all these lawyers involve...I thought what we need more is CSI !!! isn't lawyers use for defending and seeking legal advise??? MRT break done got something to do with legal meh ??? I thought it is only man and physics ??? Then with so many type of pple involve....who is footing the bill ??? 25. I have my share of frustrations when seeking a solution among the government agencies get herd from one agency to another until give up perhaps this is their aim that is for us to give up pursuing SPF: As long as the litter does not kill Posted on 11 Apr 2012 Why has nothing been done about killer litter at Serangoon North for two years? STOMPer William says killer litter has been raining down from Block 126, Serangoon North Ave 1 for almost two years, yet nothing has done about it. He says: "This took place at Block 126, Serangoon North Ave 1; someone here has been throwing litter down almost every day, from 1.2L pet bottles, curry gravy to take away packets etc. "Multiple complaints have been lodged to the Town council and NEA for the past 2 years. Till now, the culprits have not been caught and litter is still being thrown down. "The Town Council stated that these issues are under the purview of HDB (leasee behavior) and NEA (high-rise littering). However, NEA pushes the blame to the police stating it is killer litter. "The police say that as long as the litter does not kill, the matter is under the purview of NEA. "So who will take action? "
