  1. this thing pop into my mind this morning while driving....we are on a three lane road....heavy vehicles on the left....light goods on the middle...the right for overtaking.....so which lane do you travel if you drive a car ??? humm....don't tell me you are overtaking all the time har....so you are staying on the right har ??...because there will be always someone who wants to drive faster...so you will become the hogger...???
  2. Could this be a publicity stunt? When it comes to Top Gear's The Stig, anything is possible. The latest is this: The BBC is pursuing legal action against the Stig to stop him (her?) from revealing his identity in an autobiography he is writing. The British public broadcaster contends that it is part of his work contract to keep his identity secret. The Stig has been with the show since 2003 and is one of the main elements that make up Top Gear's mystique. He test drives the cars featured on the show and it is his track times with which Top Gear ranks them for lap performance. The Stig also trains the celebrities who participate in the Star in a Reasonable Priced Car segment. The identity of the Stig is something the show guards well. Aside from the presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, and a few key BBC executives, no one knows who he is. Top Gear and the BBC have been known to toy with the public on the identity of the Stig, last year they pretended to have the Stig remove his helmet on the program only to reveal Michael Schumacher wearing his trademark white race suit. 3. If you seen a red car horning and signalling you to move out of the 1st lane of PIE. That's me! You guys are pathetic going 60 or even 70km/h and using the 1st lane! If you can't go fast, please keep left. No EXCUSES even though is raining! Green colour COE corolla SBR9**** with the P plate! You cannot cut into the 1st lane without picking speed 1st, you dick! Thank god i brake in time. I felt like cutting infront of you and then jam my brakes to see how u like it. Thank you for giving way... except for SBR9**** hope you crash. Cheers!
  4. As per topic. Who can I complain to to get them to remove the trees totally? Since May, I have seen whole branches breaking off and landing on cars parked during rain. "They" came and did some trimming, but now still the branches are falling after rain. Best is remove the trees from the CP totally, after all, these trees only contribute birdshit but not much shade for the cars. So, who to call regarding trees in HDB estate open air carparks?
  5. My head lamp bulbs keep blowing. For the past 2 months, I've been changing the bulbs and now they blow again. I suspect it could be OVER SUPPLY of current cos each time both sides will blow. Can anyone advise what is wrong? Can anyone recommend a good electrical workshop. Thank for reading.
  6. I tried all types of car perfume and after a while the smell just goes away. Worst still, sometimes the aircon emits sour smell. Hence, I decided to try something different and it proved really effective. Here's how it goes... 1) Buy a bottle of perfume from Autobacs (Glass bottle with the cotton wick) 2) Remove the cabin/air filter (mine is just behind the glove compartment, easy to remove) 3) Add the perfume evenly to the filter (keep the cotton wick on to prevent overflow and do not "overload" filter) 4) Fix the filter back For weeks, you'll have strong enough car perfume in your car. Best of all, your clothes smells good too.
  7. News Network SKOREA - More than six out of every 10 actresses have been asked to have sex with influential figures, according to a survey released by the National Human Rights Commission yesterday. In the survey conducted by the Korean Women's Development Institute last year on 111 actresses, 60.2 percent of respondents answered that they had been asked to sleep with rich and powerful figures. Most also said that such "sponsor" relationships are quite common in the entertainment business, said the NHRC. More than 45 percent had been ordered to attend drinking parties and wait upon the participants. More than 58 percent had experienced sexual harassment and 31.5 percent were physically harassed as well, according to the survey. Some 21.5 percent were more directly forced, either by their agency or influential acquaintances, to have sex and 6.5 percent were raped. The patrons are usually wealthy businessmen, producers, directors, agency heads, broadcasting officials and politicians. The respondents were pressured to abide by the "requests" for the sake of their career, they also said. Some 48.4 percent of the respondents said that they were deprived of acting opportunities shortly after refusing. Aspiring actresses also received sex offers, though demands there was less demand to their obscurity, said the NHRC. "A detailed special law is required in order to supervise entertainment agencies and to guarantee the sexual rights of female entertainers," said an NHRC official. The KWDI's survey was the first one to be conducted on the sexual freedom of female entertainers. The issue was brought into public debate last March as actress Jang Ja-yeon committed suicide, leaving hand-written notes detailing at the sexual relationships she was forced into by her agency. The documents were released by her former manager.

  9. Please... you do not own the road.... if your driving is weak, the 1st lane doesn't deserve a driver like you. Speed limit is 90... what are you doing on the 1st lane at 70km/h on the 1st lane even in the rain???? You go even slower in the bends!!!!! When is raining in the bends... you can drop speed to 50km/h.... isn't it no difference from lane 2?? To Look good... let people admire your car or just so to be a kind soul to stop people from going faster than you? Like i said... if you are weak, move to the 2nd lane for beginner or weak drivers. We do not need your braking and your red tail lights to come on when you're in the 1st lane. If you say lane 2 and 3 is slow.... then I'll say to you... you are no better than lane 2 or 3. I have so much more to say.... maybe i'll save some for later....

  12. Currently if keep money in CPF, interest is at 2.5%? Commercial bank loan at Sibor is < 1.5%. So in that case, if I have few hundred ks in CPF, is it better to keep in CPF and pay bank interests every month? Like that is earning 1% interest in CPF every year? Sound very logical but can anybody tell me any catch to this situation? Sorry best is if you are in financial line or gone through this path. Many thanks.

For me...more than 80% goes to my own family (joint acct with wife which pays the bills and installments and household expenses) and to my parents (which I give a decent sizable sum every month). 24. http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_336060.html Feb 9, 2009 Ex-teacher had sex with teen By Elena Chong A FORMER school teacher had sex with a 15-year-old student six times in chalets and even in her matrimonial flat. On Monday, the 32-year-old mother of one pleaded guilty to having sex with the youth, which began in March last year. She tried to break off the relationship when she found the teen becoming overly possessive and temperamental. But he refused. A district court heard that when she insisted on ending their affair and ignoring his phone calls and text messages, he threatened to kill her and her family. Fearing that he would carry them out, she confided in her school counsellor, who referred the matter to the school principal on May 15 last year. The next day she made a police report. In court on Monday, the bespectacled woman, clad in a long white-sleeve blouse and dark blue pants, admitted to one charge of sex with a minor under 16. This is the first case of its kind involving a woman. If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to 10 years or fine or both. Deputy Public Prosecutor Royce Wee said the woman was teaching Chinese language and civil moral education in a primary school where the victim was in Primary 6 in 2007. She did not teach his class. After a school trip to China, the two began calling and SMSing each other frequently. Over time, she became fond of him and began to treat him as her godson, showering him with a lot of care and attention. When he was promoted to secondary 1, they continued to meet. They also went window shopping, watched movies and had meals together. They began to develop intimate feelings for each each. The boy finally told her he had fallen for her, and she agreed to be his girlfriend. On March 10 last year, she booked a chalet in Pasir Ris and had sex with him. Senior Counsel Sant Singh said she was under a lot of work and family pressure, having to look after her five-year-old girl with learning disability. He said his client had wanted to end the relationship after realising that it was inappropriate and not right for her to do so. 'She was also ridden with guilt, and it was consequent to this that she could not handle the situation that she spoke to the school counsellor and made a clean breast....'' he added. District Judge Sarjit Singh will pass sentence on Feb 23.
