  2. Anyone attended the Kia Beyond Experience today at the Alexandra showroom? Got to see the new Sportage and try out Kia cars in a closed circuit slalom course! Quite fun whacking the car around the slalom! Hope can win the Optima for a year too!
  3. All bros who drive Picanto, I've been driving Picanto coming to 2 years. So far experienced one issue with the fuel pump. The fuel pump broke down. Fortunately, this failure is covered by warranty. However, this failure has shaken my confidence in the reliability of my car. Would like to find out from the rest of you on your experiences with your Picanto. Pls kindly share about any reliability issue with the car. Tks in advance.
  4. Hi there, Has anybody tried the latest Kia Flexi Lease which offers 0 downpayment and 0 deposit? From what I know is done through Daimler Fleet Management. Anybody succeeded in leasing a car from this program? Kindly share. I was given a budget of $2k per month to lease a car as my job requires me the occasional travel to Malaysia sites. (Lease on my own and company will reimburse me). I asked for Kia K3 1.6 SX direct from C&C but monthly payment is $2,045. My salary is only $4.1k. What's the chances of me succeeding in my application? I feel that I stand 10% chance only. Thanks!
  5. Is anyone here driving the Kia Magentis? Like to hear the comments about this car. Tks.
  6. Talk about overinflating ones ability. I think only ppl in the US get to sue. Sgp owners LLST. http://www.worldcarfans.com/113122567948/hyundai-and-kia-agree-to-pay-395m-usd-to-settle-lawsuits South Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia have agreed to pay about 395M USD in order to settle lawsuits related to overinflating fuel economy numbers. The entire debacle started more than a year ago and concerned 900,000 cars from 2011MY, 2012MY and 2013MY which had overstated mileage ratings. Eight Hyundai models and five Kia nameplates received the wrong mpg ratings and as a consequence about 53 lawsuits were initiated and then consolidated into a single case which was handled in the Los Angeles federal court. Fast forward to today, Hyundai has agreed to pay an average of 353 USD to owners of approximately 600,000 cars, while 300,000 Kia owners will get about 667 USD. If we do the math, Hyundai will pay about 210M USD and Kia will have to part with 185M USD, according to the statements issued by the two companies. The exact amount of money the two will have to pay depends on how many clients will choose to receive the lump sum payments. Owners who qualify for reimbursements have the possibility of either taking the payment or continue to take part in a reimbursement program initiated by Hyundai and Kia when the mpg figures were updated. This reimbursement plan consists of providing debit cards to compensate for the extra fuel clients had to acquire.

  10. For those who have been waiting for the arrival of the all new Kia Forte K3, the good news is that you can pre-book yours for S$89,999 now. The stylish Korean sedan will arrive locally in July 2013 according to Kia Singapore's Facebook page. Based on the same underpinning as the Hyundai Elantra, the 2013 Forte measures 4,560mm by 1,780mm by 1,445mm (L x W x H). The Singapore-bound K3 will also be equipped with the same 130bhp 1.6-litre D-CCVT engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Century sprint is quoted as 11.6 seconds. Based on a conversation that I had with a Kia sales personal, the new Forte will be equipped with 17-inch alloys and factory-fitted leather seats. The electric driver's seat will have two memory settings. In terms of safety, the compact sedan will be fitted with no less than six airbags. From the sales person's catalogue, the new K3 can be selected in 10 different colours. The OMV of the car is said to be about S$17K and the COE rebate at launch price is S$40K. If that sounds like good value to you, it is time to head down to Cycle & Carriage's Kia showroom.
