  2. Recently our website and name www.mycarforum.com has appeared on the above mentioned company/person's namecard. We like to stress that we DO NOT have knowledge of such endorsement and it is a clear infringement of copyrights of the owners of MCF as well as all members participate in MCF accepting our guidelines and policies. For this specific matter with MCF appearing on a namecard without our prior knowledge of permission, we shall be contacting the issuer of the namecard to disclose his non-affliation with MCF. One may ask why not take the free publicity? We maintain MCF as a not for profit website and have kind sponsor who keep us going, so on the flipside we don't appreciate freeloaders as well. I take this time to also stress that MCF does not specically endorse any vehicle make, model or company and groups like Chevrolet, Starlet, VAG are just some examples that make up the many diverse makes MCF members own and share discussions about.
  3. Hi guys, Chk this out: http://www.vtechware.com/ He can enquire for you and advise price and delivery. I understand from my friend he is a korean who goes back to Korea every 2-3mths. Looks promising as SA is not so adventurous in bring mods.
  4. The Best Korean Car that i test drive and feel is: Chevrolet aka Daewoo!!! 1)Superb Build Quality. Harder steel structure than Most Jap car and korean car Heard frm SE the build quality is following audi (German) standard. 40% high strength steel for the body thus the heavy body. Even the door close sound like a conti car. LOLZ. I am very sure if a jap car is to knock into a chevvy, it is going to be quite serious repair. 2)Most Luxury Budget Car. Sit in it and i was amazed by the luxurious interior. much better than same priced matrix and almost same as Super Saloon Luxury Edition. But it is cheaper than a super saloon and altis!!! 3)Silent Engine. Hardly can hear or feel the engine. 4)Engine performance is better than Mazda3 and matrix. around the same as sunny and altis but below civic 5)FC - not much data as not much Chevvy ard. but last heard is ard 11-12km/l for a 1.22ton car!!! crappy hyundai matrix can only get max 10km/l 6)Spare parts price - not as Expensive as Conti's but slighty more expensive than jap's 7)Warranty- as friendly as hyundai's. warranty void only on wat u mod. 8)Handling - superb but not as good as focus or mazda3 but cfm abv the civic, altis, sunny, matrix. good suspension 9)Brakes - all disc brakes. brakes is average but can ask SE to adjust to your pref. 10)Spacious - abt the same as altis. 11)bootspace - can fit 2-3 golf bag. Err what boot space does a matrix have? 12)Design/ looks - looks better than any hyundai and city. thou beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Car design by the italian designer. 13)features - ABS with EBD , mini fridge in the glove compartment! 14)Wheels and rims - Stock is 15" and try to ask for sports rim throw in FOC! Conclusion: A Very Conti Car which is make in Thailand (optra) and korea (other model) but was a Daewoo with Audi Build Quality and GM motor. A Rojak Car but a damn value for money car to get. Rating 8/10!!! Con: Heard that the gear got strange noise. but i didnt hear any when i test drove one. FC not so good as it is a heavy car. Spare parts more expensive than jap cars but should have no problem as the car is thai/korea made. low omv
  5. As a new comer , I notice that "Korean" would mean Hyundai or Kia . Nobody has anything to say about the other major group DAEWOO . Or nothing good to say ? Comments welcome . Incidentally I do have a Daewoo . Rgs
  6. So much of Korean and Japanese car...let's take a look at some korean fighting machine...
  7. New Coupe his is the shape of things to come for the next ________. And if you think it's radical, wait until you discover what's under the bodywork. The car aims to rival BMW's 7-Series and Mercedes' S-Class, and it's clear ______ is daring to be different in styling as well as technology. With a 4.3-litre V8 hybrid engine producing more than 300bhp, the car is four-wheel drive and promises to set a new performance benchmark for _____ in August 2005. It's also likely to offer brake-by-wire technology, which has so far featured only on Mercedes production cars. The newcomer is important for two reasons. Not only will it be the first Lexus to be created entirely by the new research and development team, it will also be the first _____-badged car in Japan. After launch, the _____ will be joined by the production model of the LF-X concept, a more powerful version of the _____.
  8. Quote:- Do The Lobo-Motion! Supermini buyers could soon have another car to choose from. The Hafei Lobo, a Chinese model styled by Italian legend Pininfarina (exclusive pictures in this week's issue of Auto Express) is set to go on sale in its home market early next year. Although it will be built in the Far East, the fact that the car is being developed by Lotus on UK roads suggests its creators have other markets in mind, including Britain. The five-door hatchback is a bold piece of design, and reveals just how serious China is in becoming a major player in the world car market. Key strengths of the all-new machine will include low running costs and rock-bottom prices, even when compared to Korean rivals such as Hyundai. To achieve this, equipment levels will be kept low, and the engine line-up will initially be limited to a 1.1-litre petrol unit, while the Lobo is expected to be priced around
  9. Tell me very honestly. Are your korean made vehicles built to last?
  10. Dear all I'm on working out something with my stockist to bring in Korean accessories to sell to owners in Singapore. Anyone with anything interesting in mind that you have been eyeing for a while but it's not available in Singapore cos there's no market for it can kindly mail me @ [email protected] or leave your reply here or PM me. I'm afraid at this point of time I do not have any catalogue to show and I can only help you to source for wat you have seen, thought of and check for availability. Thank you for your attention and hopefully, I can bring on more pride for Korean vehicle owners! With regards Lester
  11. Hi to all I was thinking of ordering some Korean stuff from a Korea site but I'm handicapped by the language. Can anybody kindly give a helping hand by giving a moment of his/her precious time to make my orders from the screen? Thank you. With regards Lester
