Pardon me but just ranting about this black Lancer I met on the road a while ago. Exiting Alexander to AYE towards Tuas. I was on the outer lane to turning out and you, beside me going straight towards Queensway, suddenly cut into my lane without signal which I assumed you were supposed to turn into AYE too but realized you were on the wrong lane, made me jambrake so hard that everything in my car flew forward. Please, if you realized that you missed ya exit, then proceed to have a alternate route. Don't just cut into people lane so abruptly. Or did it hurt to even wait til I passed you to cut behind me? There were no cars behind at all. If I hadn't pay attention to you, ya car would have kissed my side. Just a reminder to everyone. Ever you find yourself missing the exit you are supposed to head to, with a dangerous choice of cutting into people lane, please choose to drive straight on and get off the next exit. Don't drive straight into a accident.

Many times, I come accross some taxi drivers who would purposely drive so close or on the lane marking that without signal, would just cut into your lane or making you difficult to judge whether he is keeping left or right lane. This is so during traffic jam situation and the taxi was driving on the lane marking and which ever lane is faster, the taxi would just switch into that lane without due care and consideration for the vehicle behind him. One or twice, I would move so close (keeping to my lane) to the taxi and our side mirror almost touch. I would take a look at the taxi driver and he show sulk face and mumbling something. Why can't they keep to the centre of their lane???? -
given a scenario that you are driving in the middle lane of a 3 lane road with heavy traffic on the middle lane and the right lane but less vehicles on the left lane and you are actually going to make a left turn ahead. will you go into the bus lane before you have reached the yellow dotted line or wait until you have reached the yellow dotted line then filter to the left lane?

I have noticed that quite a lot of cars entering the dotted yellow bus lane during the bus lane operating hours along Thomson Road. Am wondering, are we allow to travel along the dotted yellow bus lane?

Whenever I'm stuck on the road with an empty bus lane beside me, this question came to my mind: is the bus lane under-utilised and how to make better use of it? I know the bus lane is open to all buses, although they cannot stop. I got this information from that nice little booklet that LTA sent me when they changed the bus lane timing. The bus lane should be open to taxis, motorbikes and lorries (not pickups and vans). Any other ideas?

When i turn right at a junction, to a 3 lane road (left being the bus lane) there was a long queue building up in the centre lane. The bus lane was cleared.. i need to make a left turn at the next junction. So i travelled in centre lane and before i reach the queue of vehicles in the centre lane, i switched to the bus lane about 10 metres before the broken yellow lines. There was a huge bunch of jaywalkers crossing the road... the guy with the tripod was 'camouflaged' in the bunch of jaywalkers.. when i saw him it was too late! i was caught about 10 metres before the broken line! no excuse? i have to queue in the centre lane till i reach the broken lines? sigh..

... Obviously he is trying to take a photo of your car. Say a driver follows you straight to Lane 1 after entering the expressway. Then when you're checking your rear mirror, you suddenly catch sight of him steadying a camera on his steering wheel and aiming it at you. 1. What likely intentions could he have in doing that? 2. How would you react? 3. How likely is it that he is not trying to take a photo of your car?

Hi Alls, Anyones send their cars to this workshop for repairs. Heard they well knwn in the SHC asnd perfoming and replace kind of teflon/polutheretane bushing which claims better roadholding and signicant enhancement in body roll. Any input is aprreciared

Received an LTA letter yesterday. Thought kena summon liao! Quickly tear open. Chey.... its a package containing a car decal, a booklet and brochure on the new bus lane scheme. Anyone else received it? I only like the decal, think it can serve as road tax holder too. Other than that, the rest can throw. How come LTA willing to spend on this ah? Maybe next time new speed cam they will also mass mail too... haha.

Anyone experience this? Taxis cruising on lane 1 and hog the road. Shouldn't taxi be ban from traveling on lane 1 like all the other heavy vehicle?

Hi Assuming it's 4 lanes or more on expressways eg PIE, can 1. goods vehicles/lorries/buses/etc 2. Motorcycles travel on the extreme right lane? Also assuming there are not overtaking and no exit lane on the right (like the Bukit Timah exit at PIE towards Tuas). I'd noticed of late these vehicles been travelling on the extreme right lane and the irritating part is that some of them are hogging it . Anyone noticed that? Or am I having PMS

Seems like there's more and more buslane cameras being set up to get back all our PP.. i see them almost everywhere everyday.. why not list them out so we can all avoid donating to the next PP fund.. 1) Thomson Road towards Adams road.. (Every evening) 2) Orchard Road(All day all nite..)

Hi bros.. just wanna confirm.... will we get fine if we enter the bus lane to the bus stop to drop or picked passengers up, even for that split seconds? Coz technically, yes, we have entered the bus lane during its operational hours. But then, we are only dropping and go mah.....

just kena summon for drivin in bus lane. fine 130 n 4 demerit points. actually the registered owner of my car is my uncle n i'm always the one driving it as using his name the insurance is lower/ just received the summon, requestin mi to submit whether is my uncle drivin or other pple driving so tat TP can sen mi the summon letter. just like to find out if i use my uncle licence to demerit 4 points, as he dun drive, will it affect the NCB for the insurance??? or just use my own licence to deduct 4 points as tat NCB stil intact. but i'm the one driving everyday, so points quite important. can someone plse advise. thks

Just curious anybody ever got caught driving on Bus Lane during peak hours? Was driving into the office this morning on Tanglin Road towards Orchard direction (1-way street) and need to filter left getting to Scotts Road. Time-check 0900 hrs. When approaching nearer to the Thailand Embassy, saw this guy in WHITE uniform standing outside the embassy drive-way taking down car plate # traveling on the bus lane. But at that time no bus using the lane. He dressed much like those officer working at Bus Interchange and had his bike (White YAMAHA RXZ) next to him. What on earth is he doing? Siao Liao..., but...but...I... O-Sh*t. .

Just like to share with every one. Around 3.00pm while i was exiting ECP along bedok, i was behine this joker Merc guy keep filtering lane without singaling, When we were turning left towards the old Temasks Sec, I over took him and took the chance and filter to his lane without singaling. Guess what, he speed up and try to tail my back, but my little VTI did not disappoint me by pulling ahead of him. At the traffic light beside Temasks Sec the give mi the F face, i wanted to ask him how the feel when i cut his lane without signaling so i row down my windiow and guess what he quick act blur and turn the other way. What will you do? Scenario: Imagine you are in a rush.... (e.g. wife's water bag has burst, son fell down the steps, old parent got food poisoning etc.) ...And you are on lane 1 of a local expressway, there is this road hog in front of you merrily doing 90kmh and will continue to stay at the speed till kingdom come. The road in front of the road hog is clear as far as your eye can see (let's say 500m to 800m). There are some slower traffic on lane 2 and 3.
