Lexus takes pride in its motto "The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection". The first generations of Lexus indeed live up to the expectations of its motto. But how about the current generation of Lexus? First, let us take a look at the new IS250 which has reached our shores not long ago.

Heya brothers out there.... Travelling in the roads in my fathers latio can be quite cool. Have been seeing these Lexus ES300 rims... the stock ones.. from BM.... but they are super chromed. Meaning not the normal alloy rim. They are coated with this chrome and it looks super shiny. Anyone knows if it is done by BM or by some shop? Would love to do it for my moms cefiro 200JK. LOL.. i dont find her rims reflective enuf.

"It's faster, quieter and more powerful than the first LS that redefined the prestige luxury segment in the early 1990s." 2007 ES Marks Complete Redesign of All Lexus Sedans From a styling standpoint, the ES marks the latest Lexus sedan to receive a complete redesign emphasizing a more sculptural direction, one that now reveals a family resemblance across the entire passenger car lineup. With an over two-inch longer wheelbase and more than an inch wider track, the ES has a more confident stance. A long hood, pulled-back cabin and short rear deck are characteristic of the new L-finesse design theme, recalling classic sports car proportions with a contemporary look unique to all new-generation Lexus sedans. The creation of a spatial feeling in the passenger compartment is central to the new Lexus design direction. Without increasing the overall exterior length, engineers were able to increase rear legroom while maintaining the already roomy driver and front-passenger compartment. The interior of the new ES introduces a new level of craftsmanship as well. Premium wood, polished metal and leather accents provide a level of luxury never before seen in the entry luxury segment. Everything inside the ES is designed and styled to create a comfortable and harmonious interaction, with touchpoints that convey quality and refinement. Six-Speed Transmission The front-wheel drive ES 350 features a six-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) and sequential shift. The low-friction, high-efficiency gear train is lighter and more compact than the previous generation 5-speed transmission with 20 percent fewer parts and 24 percent fewer hydraulic controls. Gear ratios are carefully matched to both engine horsepower and torque characteristics to provide very smooth yet responsive shifts for improved drivability. New Intelligent Luxury In addition to a new look and feel, the new ES also improves upon the increasingly complex nature of automotive technology. The Lexus SC430 is scheduled for a facelift in 2006. Looks pretty much the same to me. Never really found it appealing. Not about to change my mind.

Saw this on Sunday evening along Boundary Road. A volvo S40 was following a new Lexus GS300 who was speeding away. The GS300 driver was driver (1st car) at a traffic light on extreme right and the volvo was behind. When the light turned green, the GS300 floored the accelerator. But after 50metres, see the volvo overtake the GS300 on the left and sped off. The S40 that fast meh? Thought the GS300 can do 0-100 in 7.5s, somemore V6 engine. Don't know if the volvo is T5 cos too fast liao.

Saw an Altis with Lexus badge (red background) today. Was it Lexus Altis R-type ? Or Lexus IS200 Altis ?? Or Lexus Altis made in Thai??

Hey .. I'm not really good at this .. But I drive an IS200. Problem is the system is built in, one piece. So cannot change the unit. I feel the system lacks abit of punch in it. Was told to just get a woofer and it will do. Anyone drives cars with these built in sets ? What did you do ?

Hi, I drive an IS200.. the sound system in the car is one of those built in one piece sets. I find the sound system not really fantastic. But cos everything comes built-in, cannot change. Anyone drives similar cars and feel the same ? What did you do ? Cheers
