Hi,lately i've seen a lot of people do this: their license plate is modelled after those in EU. Meaning the plate looks something like this, the license plate has a blue strip on the left hand side, 13 stars (of EU) above & then below the country code (for eg. GB for Great Britain) Then the rest of the license plate (which is white) has the fonts modelled after that used in the EU. Now here's my questions: Legal?? If so, where to do?? 'Coz it sure looks good.... Please advise. Thanks

Just got into a very minor accident with a motorbike. Was my fault because I bumped into his "backside". Rider was alright and just compensated him for the twisted number plate. In the process, I seem to have lost my number plate somewhere along the AYE. I'll be ordering one tomorrow morning and getting it by noon time. Just need to ask, is it okie to drive around with no front plate? Anything I should do for the meantime till I get my replacement? I would still need to run around tomorrow. Please advise. Thanks!!!

Anyone knows of any workshop in the west (Clementi, Bukit Timah, etc) that fabricates license plate? Preferably those that can turn around within an hour or two.

I have an extra plate with the government which dues this April. Therefore, asking whether its possible to sell the number plate away? Where can I sell it?? Its a nice SF*8822* plate. Possible to fetch $2000+?

I need to settle this before the car radio license becomes the next item to go "UP".... I cannot understand the need for this license. Where does the money go to? Maintain the quality of radio waves??? If this is the reasoning, then everyone with mp3 players and handphones that are equipped with FM tuners should pay a similar fee right? And as far as I know, I have no knowledge of any country that collects fees for car radio. Can any one explain on this?

I've just found out that in order to retain your current license plate number, you got to fork out $1300 to do the transfer. This is where you transfer your existing plate number to a already registered vehicle. Whereas if you tranfer it to a new vehicle it's only $100. However, you have to come out with $1300 first and upon registration of your new vehicle then you'll get back $1200. Ok, my question here is. Where does this money go to? It seems like easy money for the government. Just by do some easy paper work and they make $1300 for nothing!

Honestly... who pay Radio License ? juz paid mine last week but abit regretted partly bcos i dun usually listern to radio and also i observed most car dun pay... yes i know $27 is probably nothing but enuf for at least half tank of petrol or 3 booklet of coupons... in this bad times, every cent counts...

Any dudes (or dudettes) here have good lobangs for those really thin license plates? I wanna change my thick "stock" ones to those sticker ones, but they HAVE to be legal. Heard that it doesnt matter how thin or thick the license plate is as long as the colour of the text and plate, AND the font size are like the legal ones. And of course no glossy materials la. Any recommendations? Prices even? Thanks in advance.

Dear Friends, Needed your kind advises. I had a friend who got caught for speeding. The when TP requested for his license, they found out that his license expired 3 years ago. Now he is going through a investigation with the TP. But i had this queries, pls enlighten me. He has just changed a car in May 2003. Can changing a new car without a valid license possible for his case. And does insurance need his license for renewer. Does he has any possibility to get a composition fine instead. Is there a difference between losing one's license to that of having one's license suspended? Would the 2nd case require one to go for a re-test? Sorry for such a question...... I'm quite ignorant here.

hi guys i just got my license plate for my tusani this afternoon from my SE she told me will try her Best to deliver my car asap but i know its during the new year season and there are some freebies like v-kool, reverse sensor , 17" rims , chrome panellings ++ she has to fix in for me but i really hope can get the car by this weekend is this possible ?

Realised most BMW come with embossed license plate. Is this legal, or if not, maybe Beemer owners got special priviledge :P BTW, glad that MCF is back online. Seemed that a lot has happenend in Sg for the past few days. First was blackout in Jurong, then MCF site down, then Suntec power blackout and then Nicoll Hi-way collapsed...... Betta pray.
