  1. China's doctors had found a way to cure gay ..... yahoo news: Chinese come out against sexuality change therapy A wire connected to his genitals, a Chinese man says doctors administered repeated electric shocks as he watched a pornographic film -- part of treatment he hoped would eliminate his sexual attraction to men. "I thought I'd try and see if there was a chance I could become a normal person," said the 25-year-old, who asked to be identified only by his surname Zhang. "I didn't want to cause my family trouble, or disappoint them." Zhang's treatment shows the extreme end of a lucrative industry in China claiming to "correct" the sexualities of gay men and lesbians, who often face tremendous social pressures to live as heterosexuals. "If I had a reaction (to the films) I would receive a shock," said Zhang, who said he paid for the initial treatments himself after deciding life as a gay man would be "too tough". "It wasn't a massive shock, but it was painful." China officially classed homosexuality as a mental disorder as recently as 2001, although some attitudes -- especially in larger cities -- have become more tolerant in recent years. Nonetheless gay men and lesbians in China, who are often only children, still have to deal with their parents' expectations of marriage and children. "Conversion therapy", as it is sometimes known, has more than a century of history around the world, but has fallen out of favour with medical authorities. It persists in countries from Singapore to Britain and the United States -- where reports of electro-shock use have added to momentum for a ban. Zhang was treated three years ago, but five clinics contacted by AFP in the last month claimed to offer "sexuality adjustment" through various means, some of them including hypnosis, drugs and electric shock therapy. The Haiming Psychological Consulting Centre in Beijing touts the use of electricity on its website, saying: "After each shock, the person will quickly interrupt their thought, and separate from their fantasies." A member of staff at the hospital told AFP that the shock treatment -- in 30-minute sessions every few days -- was used only "in extreme circumstances". more of the stories, link : http://sg.news.yahoo.com/chinese-come-against-sexuality-change-therapy-034049679.html Persists in Singapore ... 2. Ha..ha..ha.... Japan also worry of his entry to their country ... yahoo news: Malaysia's Anwar 'shocked' after Japan bars entry Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said Monday he was "puzzled and shocked" over being barred entry to Japan, as his party questioned whether Malaysia's ruling coalition was behind the move. Anwar said he arrived at Narita International Airport on a personal visit early Sunday and was told by immigration authorities he was barred because of his 1999 conviction for sodomy and corruption. The controversial conviction, which cast the then-rising political star out of Malaysia's longtime ruling party and into jail for six years, is viewed by many as a frame-up by Anwar's enemies. "I am puzzled and shocked by the incident," Anwar, 66, told AFP. "It is not the way for a democratic country to treat an opposition political leader and a veteran politician." He called on Malaysia's government to "probe this incident and lodge a strong protest against Tokyo." Anwar said he protested to Japanese immigration officials, saying the 1999 conviction was an invalid reason to refuse his entry and that he visited Japan on three occasions since 2006 without incident. Officials told him vaguely that they were responding to a more recent "report" against him, he said. Anwar added that he had been invited to Japan to deliver a speech on inter-religious harmony by a Japanese NGO. He returned to Malaysia on a later flight. In a blog posting, Anwar said he felt "hidden hands may be at work here" and demanded an explanation from Malaysia's foreign ministry. "The barring of Anwar Ibrahim from entering Japan raises serious questions on the involvement of this (the Malaysian) government," Anwar's People's Justice Party said in a separate statement. Malaysia's foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Anwar said Japan's embassy in Malaysia had told him before the trip there would be no problem entering the country. Embassy officials declined immediate comment to AFP. Malaysia's ruling coalition has steadily lost ground in parliament since Anwar officially became opposition leader in 2008. The opposition accuses the coalition of a long-running campaign of harassment and false charges designed to smear Anwar. Shortly after a historic strong 2008 opposition showing, Anwar faced new charges of illicit sex with a former male aide. Sodomy is illegal in Muslim-majority Malaysia. A court acquitted Anwar in 2012 but the government is appealing the decision. Later in 2012 he was accused of illegal assembly over an anti-government protest, but a court dismissed those charges earlier this month. link: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/malaysia-39-anwar-furious-japan-bars-entry-032121284.html
  3. Reading Yahoo and was amused by the 24 places for best retirement ..... Yahoo news: Panama named best place to retire In the 2014 edition of its annual Global Retirement Index, American magazine InternationalLiving.com places Panama at the top of the list of the best places to spend retirement. Panama is a particularly attractive destination for retirees moving from the US, as the American dollar is the official currency and English is widely understood. But the Central American nation stands out most of all for its pensioner residence program. In addition to offering discounts on real estate loans, entertainment and medical expenses for pensioners, the program simplifies the immigration process for them. "In the past year, Panama has introduced new visas, which make it easier to gain residence there," notes InternationalLiving.com's executive editor, Jennifer Stevens. She also points out that "the country has made major advances in infrastructure" recently. A total of 24 countries are listed in the magazine's ranking, which is based on the analysis from its correspondents around the globe. Each destination is evaluated across eight areas with an effect on everyday life, including real estate, climate, cost of living, entertainment and healthcare. In second place, just behind Panama, Ecuador also emerges as an ideal destination for retirees. The low cost of living, the heavenly climate and the incredible scenery are among the benefits highlighted by the magazine. One trend emerging from the ranking is the attractiveness of Latin American destinations, which account for 12 of the top 24 places to retire according to InternationalLiving.com. Spain, meanwhile, is listed as the most attractive European destination for retirees, in fifth position overall. The magazine describes the country as "arguably the best bargain in Europe, offering First-World living at a cost that can compete with some Latin-American countries." The best places to retire according to InternationalLiving.com's Global Retirement Index 2014: 1- Panama 2- Ecuador 3- Malaysia 4- Costa Rica 5- Spain 6- Colombia 7- Mexico 8- Malta 9- Uruguay 10- Thailand 11- Ireland 12- New Zealand 13- Nicaragua 14- Italy 15- Portugal 16- France 17- Philippines 18- Honduras 19- Guatemala 20- Brazil 21- Chile 22- Belize 23- Dominican Republic 24- Cambodia Link: http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/panama-named-best-place-retire-164044101.html I disagree with those counties highlighted in 'red' ... Singapore not in the list I got no say cos too many 'fine', rules & regulations, medical cost and cost of living.

  5. Delete past massages in handphone if you want to rendezvous and also make sure 'she' does likewise ..... CNA news: Man jailed for indecent acts with Sec 2 student SINGAPORE: A 39-year-old man who had committed indecent acts with a secondary two student five years ago was jailed for 12 months on Thursday. At the time of the offence, Raymond Ong Imm Chuan was 34 years old and working as a project manager. Ong met the 13-year-old victim in December 2007, through a then 17-year-old mutual female friend. They exchanged numbers and text messages, during which, Ong asked the girl for oral sex. The girl told him her age, and he pretended to be a 25-year-old. After some persuasion, the victim, who initially declined to meet Ong, was picked up by him from school in January 2008. Ong drove her to his house at Block 649 Punggol Central, claiming he wished to have a chat with her. However, he made physical advances to her. Before she left, he gave her S$10 to take a cab home. The offence was discovered when the girl's father checked her mobile phone and saw the text messages. A psychiatric report determined that the girl was "rather simple minded" and functioned at the borderline range of intelligence. In addition, Ong was fined S$1,500 and banned from driving for three years for driving without a valid licence. The court also noted that Ong was convicted on three counts of driving without a licence in December 2005 and fined S$2,400, and that these convictions had not been set aside. Ong intends to appeal against Thursday’s sentence. - CNA/ec link: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/man-jailed-for-indecent/920128.html At 34 (when the offence committed), still can't think straight with both his 'big' & 'small' heads ....... 6. video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr5fQi5Nwnc&feature=player_embedded Yahoo news : You won’t believe what this creepy man is doing in Beijing’s subway Imagine this: a man hides under train seats so he can reach out and touch the legs of unsuspecting female commuters. The images, which have been circulating online the past few days, show a man clad in a blue jacket, his face obscured by a mask. He is seen lying on his back, squeezed under the train seat bench in one of Beijing’s public trains. It is not difficult to spot him from the opposite side of the carriage. While she is seen fidgeting several times, she does not move away and seems to be unaware of what was happening. Earlier this year, a man was arrested for taking up-skirt photographs in Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui train station, while another was detained for unhooking the bras of female passengers on a train in Shanghai. link: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/what-is-buzzing/won-t-believe-creepy-man-doing-beijing-mrt-072617777.html What if he comes to Sinkie for holidays ...
