  2. Saw this interesting product call easycolor scratch removal pen. live demo video of someone using it to fix a scratch. Its actually a pen cum spray, but can only spray if you attach it to a special air brush can. http://js.tudouui.com/bin/taobaoisv/TaoBao...wf?iid=54476471 From what I heard, the pen the product covers a range of popular cars like honda, toyata, mitsubishi, nissan, bmw, benz, vw etc. Some color like black, white, gray matched nicely if you buy the correct pen for your car model and make but some color has a slight different, need to use another coating shine pen to blend the colors further. Here pictures of the pens but I don't think they are available in Singapore yet, the cost of the pen is cheap but due to no availability in Singapore, the shipping price can be quite steep when add up. Or maybe its already available but I do not know of?

From politicians, engineers and etc, NO ONE can come out and give an answer only MM can he is an engineers + others all roll into one so how can we live without him MM Lee says no amount of engineering can prevent flooding By S Ramesh | Posted: 21 July 2010 2012 hrs SINGAPORE : Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew has said no amount of engineering can prevent flooding. Speaking to the media after touring the waterfront development at the Kallang and Kolam Ayer areas, Mr Lee emphasised there is a limited amount of space in Singapore that developers can take underground. There is also a limited amount of space for canals. So if Singapore has extraordinary rainfall, the country has to prepare for it. Mr Lee noted that Singapore and Singaporeans expect everything to be perfect, which he said the nation's leaders try to do. But he added that there are some things which are beyond human control as they are acts of God - unless Singaporeans want to have half the country developed with roads, and the rest with canals. Mr Lee was accompanied by the Environment and Water Resources Minister Yaacob Ibrahim and grassroots leaders. Earlier in the evening, they visited the Kolam Ayer Active, Beautiful and Clean or ABC Waterfront and The River Vista at Kallang where he was given an update on the developments in the area. The Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) programme is a long-term initiative which transforms Singapore's reservoirs and waterways into vibrant, aesthetically-pleasing rivers and lakes. Opened to the public in April 2008, the Kolam Ayer ABC Waterfront is the pilot project for this programme. The demonstration project featured a makeover of a 250-metre stretch of the Kallang River, bringing waterfront living to the doorstep of HDB heartlanders.

  13. At least once in your life - maybe even once a week or once a day for that matter - you have fantasized about coming into a lot of money. What would you do if you were worth millions or even billions? Believe it or not there are millionaires and billionaires among us who masquerade as relatively normal, run-of-the-mill people. Take a peek at some of the most frugal wealthy people in the world. Warren Buffett Millions of people read Buffett's books and follow his firm, Berkshire Hathaway's, every move. But the real secret to Buffett's personal fortune may be his penchant for frugality. Buffett, who is worth an estimated $47 billion, eschews opulent homes and luxury items. He and his wife still live in their modest home in Omaha, Nebraska which they purchased for just $31,500 more than 50 years ago. Although he's dined in the best restaurants around the globe, given the choice he would opt for a good burger and fries accompanied by a cold cherry Coke. When asked why he doesn't own a yacht he responded "Most toys are just a pain in the neck." (Find out how he went from selling soft drinks to buying up companies and making billions of dollars. Carlos Slim While most of the world is very familiar with Bill Gates, the name Carlos Slim rarely rings a bell. But it's a name worth knowing. Slim, who is a native of Mexico, was just named the world's richest billionaire

  18. Pacquiao wins by 12th-round technical knockout If there was any doubt Manny Pacquiao was the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, he answered that Saturday with a dominating victory over world welterweight champion Miguel Cotto, stopping the Puerto Rican at 55 seconds of the 12th round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Pacquiao, the only fighter in history to win seven titles in seven weight classes, took control of the fight in the second round and never let up, knocking Cotto down twice. By the end Cotto was bleeding from cuts near both eyes as well as from his nose and his white boxing trunks with stained pink with his own blood. Cotto, who clearly hasn't been the same fighter since his brutal 11-round loss to Antonio Margarito in this same ring 16 months ago, spent most of the night backpedaling. In the final round referee Kenny Bayless had to step in and remind Cotto to keep his hands up. When Cotto couldn't do that, the referee stepped in to stop things. Round 12 This is it--although clearly the fight has been over for some time. The blood coming from the cut near Cotto's eye is gushing now and referee Kenny Bayless has to continue to remind him to keep his gloves up. Finally Bayless steps in to stop with more than two minutea to go. Round 11 There is a cut next to Cotto's left eye, sending a trickle of blood down that side of his already battered face. Pacquiao has just been too quick and elusive for the bigger Cotto, who still can't solve the Filipino. Freddie Roach's fighters aren't big on defense and Pacquiao isn't backing off know. At the start of the second minute of the round, he gets Cotto in the red corner and lands several punches, none of which Cotto answerd. Thiirty seconds later they're back in the same corner with the same result. There would be little argument if the fight was stopped now. Cotto may not be defenseless but he has no offense. As the final seconds of the round tick down, Cotto backpedals away as Pacquiao again stops, dropping his hands to his side in disgust. Pacquiao wins the round, 10-8 Round 10 This time it's Cotto who makes the sign of the cross at the bell. His white trunks are now stained with blood and both eyes are nearly swollen closed. The only punches he's able to connect with on a regular basis are left jabs and they aren't doing much damage. Cotto continues to backpedal and Pacquiao continues to chase him. With 42 seconds left, Pacquiao pauses in the center of the ring, drops his hands and takes a deep sigh and if to challenge Cotto to make this a fight instead of a track meet. Pacquiao wins the round 10-9 Round 9 Cotto needs a big punch now. And while Pacquiao knows that he remains on the offensive. Cotto again keeps the right back, content to lob left-handed jabs. Pacquiao gets off a good three-punch combinaiton early in the round, the again traps Cotto against the ropes three times. The final time, with 87 seconds left, really hurts him. Cotto is ready to go down. It's only a matter of time now. Cotto looks--and is boxing lke -- a battered fighter and Pacquiao can sense that. Cotto is now bleeding heavily from his nose into his mouth. Pacquiao wins the round 10-9 Round 8 The chant is now Let's Go Manny. The Puerto Rican fans answer with a feeble Cotto, Cotto. But like their fighter, their hearts clearly are not in it. Pacquiao is mixing both the right and left hands now. Cotto gets off another straight to Pacquiao's face that stuns him. Cotto may have a problem with his left hand. He doesn't appear to be using it at all. Cotto continues to fight backward and the round ends with him backed into his corner, saved from further damage by the bell. Pacquiao wins the round, 10-9 Round 7 The fight of the year is quickly becoming a rout. Cotto hasn't been the dominant fighter he once was since taking a beating from Antonio Margarito in this same ring in July 2008. But Pacquiao is simply taking him apart. Cotto can't match the Filipino's speed and when the two go toe-to-toe, Pacquiao is the harder puncher as well. Cotto really hasn't landed more than a handful of clean shots since the opening round. Although he nails Pacquiao with the shot to the face in the opening seconds of the final minute. That startles Pacquiao, who takes a few seconds to regroup. But the round again ends with Cotto on the run. Pacquiao wins the round 10-9 Round 6 Cotto needs to get back into the fight but he's not going to try to do it with one punch. With Pacquiao going for the head consistently, Cotto is now able to duck punches. Pacquiao may need to change a bit. With 1:32 left in the round, he gets Cotto on the ropes and gets off a combination but Cotto escapes. Pacquiao gets him again in the middle of the ring with another two shots. Cotto's face is showing the damage, looking red and perhaps a bit swollen. Pacquiao twice gets Cotto on the ropes in the final 15 seconds and almost gets him down for a third time but he inexplicably stops for just a second, allowing Cotto to recover and the round ends with Cotto counterpunching. Pacquiao 10-9 Round 5 The Filipino half of the crowd breaks into another chant of Manny, Manny, Manny. And this time it's Cotto who is backing away. Pacquiao is fighting forward now. But instead of going to the body of the bigger Cotto, as was expected, he's going straight at the Puerto Rican's head, perhaps hoping to expand the cut under Cotto's eye. Pacquiao appears supremely confident but he makes a mistake with 30 seconds left, throwing a wild punch that leaves his wide open. Cotto can't take advantage, through, and the round again ends with Pacquiao swarming all over the befuddled Cotto. Pacquiao, 10-9 Round 4 Cotto, looking for an opening, gets off a couple of good lefts early in the round but they apppear to have little effect. Pacquiao appears content to bide his time, dancing away from Cotto and making him chase. But he punches as he moves and the two fighters exchange a brutal flurry with less than 90 seconds left in the round. Cotto gets Pacquiao pinned against the ropes and momentairily gains the advnatage. But Pacquiao escapes and as the two fighers mvoes to the center of the ring, Cotto goes down again. This time, all the way down for a hard left to the chin. He looks hurt and he's bleeding below one eye. Pacquiao 10-8 Round 3 Pacquiao makes the sign of the cross before coming out his corner for the third round. Cotto throws a left that Pacquiao sidesteps and, with Cotto off balance, he stumbles. Although he never falls completely to the canvas, going to one knee, referee Kenny Bayless calls it a knockdown. Pacquiao's speed, which surprised so many other fighers, apppears to be too much for Cotto, who continues to punch at spots Pacquiao just left. Pacquiao wins the round 10-8 Round Two Cotto continues to push the action. Pacquiao can't seem to get close enough the bigger, stronger Cotto to get in a good shot. But about halfway through the round he finds an opening and delivers a combination. Seconds later Cotto responds, getting Pacquiao against the ropes and delivering a flurry of punches. Although the action is fast, few of the punches seems to be doing much damage. Until Pacquiao gets off a rapid-fire three-punch combination with about 15 seconds left. The crowd is on its feet. When the bell sounds, Pacquiao drops his gloves and stares at Cotto. Pacquiao wins round, 10-9 First Round A huge roar went up for the crowd at the opening bell. Cotto startled Pacquiao with a shot to the head about halfway through the round but it didn't seem to hurt the Filipino. In fact, abot half a minute later Pacquiao was on the offensive. The two fighters clinched to start the final minute as the Puerto Rican half of the crowd roars Cotto Cotto Cotto. Cotto misses with a wild uppercut with 14 seconds left as the action picks up. Cotto wins the round 10-9
  19. terrifying http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33929262/ns/world_news-washington_post/ The Chinese are 'changing us' Rising global power reshapes how Americans do business, live their lives By John Pomfret updated 7:54 a.m. ET Nov. 14, 2009 WAUSAU, WIS. - In a cavernous warehouse amid rolling hills and dairy farms, a group of farmers recently gathered around a buyer in a conversation heralding a sea change in the United States. "I don't think you Americans get it," said the buyer, dressed casually in designer brands and sporting a watch worth as much as the mud-splattered GM trucks in the parking lot outside. "We need quality. We demand quality. Top quality. If you work with me, we can win together. But if you don't, there's nothing I can do." Being harangued by a pharmaceutical company executive from China was new for these burly farmers, but no one complained. These tough men from the American Midwest treated their Chinese guest as a savior of sorts, in an important economic and cultural reality that will confront President Obama on his first visit to China, starting Sunday. On visits to Shanghai and Beijing, Obama will encounter not simply a rising global power but a nation that is transforming and challenging the way Americans live overseas and at home, from college classrooms to real estate offices to the ginseng farms of central Wisconsin. Americans have been selling Panax quinquefolius to China since 1784 when the first China-bound trading ship sailed from New York to Canton, today's Guangzhou, weighed down with 30 tons of the root, prized in Asia for medicinal properties. But today the U.S. ginseng industry, centered here in Wisconsin, is on its back, kicked down by bogus imitations from Chinese competitors and state-subsidized crops from Canada. Twenty years ago, 1,500 farmers grew ginseng in Wisconsin for the China market; now the number is down to 150. Prices have dropped from $60 a pound to $24. The farmers around the ginseng barrels on this rainy fall night looked for an answer from Chun Yu, a Chinese businessman dangling his company's chain of 1,000 retail stores throughout China as the ultimate prize. "Years ago, it didn't matter what we grew. They bought everything we had," said Randy Ross, a 54-year-old former dairy farmer who has been growing ginseng since 1978. "Now we've got to learn how to satisfy them. They are changing us." Catching China fever While it's not exactly the People's Republic of Wisconsin, this state has been seized with a China fever of sorts. Throughout the United States, old notions of China have been replaced with a deeper understanding that China is a force that must be reckoned with. Hate it or love it, China is a major player in American life. China is now Wisconsin's (and the country's) third-biggest export market, buying more American soybeans, oil seeds, hides and animal skins, raw cotton, copper, nonferrous metals, wood pulp, semiconductors and miscellaneous chicken parts (a.k.a. chicken feet) than anyone else. At the University of Wisconsin, as at college campuses across the United States, mainland Chinese dominate the study of science and technology and form the backbone of the engineering, chemistry and pharmacy departments. They receive twice as many doctorates in this country as students from India, the next-closest foreign competitor. And among foreigners, they register by far the most patents in the United States. Chinese investors have snapped up pieces of distressed real estate in Milwaukee, as they have in other crumbling Midwestern industrial cities, not to mention in Florida, California and Arizona. Last year, a group from Germantown, Md., and China bought an empty mall on Milwaukee's depressed northwest side for $6 million, down from its $8 million list price. In July, a Chinese steelmaker bought 54 acres in an industrial park off Interstate 94 between Milwaukee and Chicago. A team of Midwestern businessmen, including the former CIA station chief in Beijing, has recently established, in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security, a special zone in Wisconsin that would grant U.S. citizenship in exchange for a $1 million investment. Meanwhile, in a state that has lost more than 160,000 (or one-third) of its manufacturing jobs in a decade, local newspapers have been running editorials praising the People's Republic and blasting those who oppose closer trade ties or Chinese investment. "China is a friend to Wisconsin and its businesses, not an enemy in a trade war," the Wisconsin State Journal said in an editorial. Seeking out business Wisconsin's governor, Jim Doyle (D), has been to China to promote Wisconsin three times since he took office in 2003. When he first went, he said, fellow governors in other states worried about the appearance of an American governor going to China seeking business. Now, it's commonplace. More than 14 of his counterparts have visited China in the past two years. "China is incredibly important to us," he said in an interview. "Even in these difficult times, some of the industries getting by are the ones selling to China. If we didn't have the Chinese, we would have been in much, much tougher shape." One of those firms is Bucyrus International, based in South Milwaukee, which has exported coal-mining equipment to China since trade relations were opened in the 1970s. In the past three years, it has doubled its workforce, in part because of the China trade. "We were still skeptical seven or eight years ago that these guys were for real," said Bucyrus chief executive Tim Sullivan. "Now we know." The boosterism about China sometimes reaches a fever pitch. One of the businessmen who helped set up the special investment zone, Robert Kraft, said China in the future will do what the Germans did for Milwaukee in the past. "The Chinese are coming," Kraft said in a telephone interview from China, where he was scouting for Chinese investors. "We're just trying to get a piece of it for Wisconsin." "The Chinese Are Coming" was the title of a session in late September in Baltimore at the annual meeting of the National Association for College Admission Counseling. There educators spoke about skyrocketing numbers of Chinese high school graduates applying for admission at U.S. colleges. That's new. For the last 20 years, Chinese have been at or near the top of the number of foreign students in the United States -- but most were in grad school. In all, about 89,000 are currently in the United States, according the Chinese Embassy. China has also helped establish 61 Confucius Institutes across the United States, including one in Wisconsin, to teach Chinese and undertake "cultural dialogues," the embassy said. At the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Chinese undergraduates now account for more than half of the 1,109 Chinese students there. That increase is another sign that China is coming because Wisconsin, like many state schools, doesn't provide scholarships for international undergrads. Last year, Chinese students paid out $2 billion in tuition nationwide. "That money is keeping some American colleges alive," said Laurie Cox, who runs the international student center at the Madison campus. "Every time I turn around, another campus has signed a memorandum of understanding with another Chinese university," said Kevin Reilly, the president of the university's 26 campuses. Reilly recently joined Doyle on a trip to China. "I came away thinking, if the 20th century was the American century . . . you have to believe that the 21st century will be the Chinese century." Difficulties and disputes Wisconsin is not immune to troubles with China. For years, until they were stopped in 2004, two Chinese nationals used Milwaukee as a base from which they exported restricted electronics and computer chips to Chinese institutes that make missiles. Quality problems with China's imports have also bedeviled Wisconsin firms -- as they have American consumers who purchased deadly pet food, lead-laden toys, and defective drywall that is believed to have rendered thousands of homes in the South almost uninhabitable. One Wisconsin company, Scientific Protein Laboratories, was in the center of a supply chain making the blood-thinner heparin. Hundreds of allergic reactions to the drug, including 81 reported deaths, led to a nationwide recall that was linked to tainted raw materials from China in 2007 and 2008. These days Wisconsin is at the center of a new trade dispute with China. Appleton Coated of Kimberly was one of three paper companies to join with the United Steelworkers to file a petition with the government alleging that China was dumping certain types of paper products in the U.S. market. On Nov. 6, the U.S. International Trade Commission decided to investigate allegations of unfair subsidies. Jon Geenan, international vice president for the United Steelworkers, grew up near the Kimberly plant. He estimates that Chinese and Indonesian imports have cost the state more than 5,000 jobs in its paper mills. That means dozens of foreclosed homes and hundreds of people who are behind on their property taxes. "Even the churches say that donations are down," he said. "They are definitely challenging the way we live." In Marathon County, where the glaciated soil makes for a bitter ginseng, the way many Chinese like it, Yu, the ginseng buyer, appears content with his new role as big shot. He recently met Gov. Doyle and signed a deal to become China's exclusive importer of Wisconsin's prized root. "But only if the quality is good," he said. "The student has become the teacher!"
