  4. Nowdays, lane 2 of expressway's speed is already pretty much slowed down by slower large vehicles like trucks and lorries. But now some even attempt to travel on lane 1 causing lane 1 to be slower. I was travelling on CTE when a lorry cut into lane 1. Understand sometimes that lane 2 is very slow so I expect him to switch back to lane 2 after overtaking. As I continue to watch the lorry, it did not switch back to lane 2 and continue on lane 1 and slow down the speed of lane 1. The 3 vehicles behind the lorry is getting impaitent as there is a clear gap between the lorry and its front car. I was furious and race up to the lorry to video him. Lane 2 is already slowed down, and now they want to disturb lane 1 of the expressway Hope the authorities will keep a watch on them. Video link

  6. The driver of a white lorry, Mr Ramli Akbar, was arrested after his vehicle swerved across four lanes on Sembawang Road before hitting a tree, tipping over and crashing into an Audi sedan on Monday night. A pill found on the driver has been sent to the Central Narcotics Bureau for testing. A lorry driver who had been taking shipyard workers home was arrested after losing control of his vehicle and swerving across four lanes into a tree. The lorry, with three Indian workers in the back and three locals in the front, ran into the kerb at a junction before careering across Sembawang Road into the tree and tipping over onto its side. It skidded for about 3m before crashing into a white Audi sedan parked in front of a seafood restaurant. One Indian worker, Mr Chala Kannan, in his 30s, was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He later regained consciousness and was being treated for a broken finger yesterday. The other workers escaped with superficial injuries. 18. Came across this news from google and wanted to take this oportunity to educate my kids.... but ended up as a minor flame war in my family My daughter asked me that why is the lorry driver penalised when he follow the traffic rules (drive off after green light)? Its very obvious th its the pedestrian fault since she was so far away from the pedestrian crossing... My wife explained to her that the driver should keep a look out of the pedestrian when driving.... I do not agree with my wife and told her that the pedestrian should not assume that all drivers could see them cause there are many other things that the driver need to pay attention with, afterall, its the pedestrian own safety and if they dont care, who else would?? ... My wife buay song after hearing what i said and the argument started,..... ________________________________________________________________________________ ________________ http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNew...608-351433.html A lorry driver has been jailed for one week and banned from driving for three years for causing the death of a pedestrian, reported The Straits Times. Muhammad Jufri Sukaimi, 38, came to a stop at the junction of Orchard Road and Grange Road when the traffic light signal was red in March 2011. He made a right turn when the lights turned green and ended up hitting Madam Han Ai Lian, 61, who was crossing about six metres away from the pedestrian crossing line. The Straits Times reported that she died two days later from bleeding due to blunt force injury to the pelvis and left lower limb. Madam Han was on her way to work as a cleaner at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. Muhammad Jufri pleaded guilty to the accident. He could have been jailed for up to two years and/or fined for the offence. ___________________________________________________ So who do you think is wrong??
  19. Hi guys, Anyone of you out there successfully argued and got back compensation from inconsiderate lorry or van drivers who slam their doors on your cars? Today in Vivocity, my car and another car, one lot away, got paint chips and deep scratches becoz of an inconsiderate lorry driver and his passenger who parked in-between us. Got evidence and his license plate with my video camera, but how can we track him down for repair costs? Or should me and the other poor driver (the one with more deep scratches than mine), just hit our heads on the wall for being so "lucky"... Buy 4D also not so "heng"... The other side of my car fender was seriously dented by another lorry door some time ago, that time no video camera to take evidence... Now have, but not sure if got use or not... I must go pray more to gods and start buying lottery already....
  20. An Indian national had more than twice the legal limit for drink driving when his lorry rammed into three pedestrians, one of whom died as a result. 21. Hi guys, Last Friday, my car was travelling in extreme left lane (lane 3) in KPE when a dumpster lorry came from behind in 2nd lane, hit me in the rear wheel arc. My car fish tailed, cut across to lane 1, I counter steer, spun around 180 degrees and ended up facing the incoming traffic in lane 2. Filed a claim on Saturday. The fxxking lorry drive go tell lie and the company called me say I cut the lorry, that's why accident. Say got video to prove. I challenged him to show the footage and the company bo ji. Gave the company a piece of my mind saying that my wife and me never die in the accident is the driver's luck. Don't push it. Now think think si bay angry... besides filing a claim. What can I do to teach such dangerous drivers a lesson? Can I go report TP? Does anyone have such experience? Can share with me? If not convenient, PM also can.
