  1. TL;DR – A video uploaded on SGRV shows a Malaysian traffic enforcer casually strolling along the long queue of cars at the JB checkpoint and collecting what looks like money from cars travelling on the motorcycle lane. Now, that's easy money! We all like to take shortcuts now and then. I'm guilty of it myself occasionally. There are some shortcuts in life one should never take. This is one of them. OR IS IT? Watch the 42-second video and make that decision for yourself. What happened? If you can't see, the empty left lane is for motorcycles. The right lane is obviously for cars. Along comes a car travelling on the motorcycle lane. Uh oh! The officer walks up to the vehicle's window, sticks his hand in, takes something and goes on his merry way. No words needed. Their relationship transcends the spoken word. He does the same thing with another car, and we can have a closer look at what's being passed to him. Looks like money, doesn't it? Online Chatter Really meh? What tf did I just read? EZPZ money If 50RM like worth it leh? No meh? Just some calculations Let's say if it was 50 RM. Paying a 15 SGD fine is okay to skip the queue, no? Even if it's 100 RM, that's like 30 bucks to escape a long wait time. 3. A recent Roads.sg video of two men using super unorthodox techniques to fill up a gas tank has caught the attention of many Singaporeans. At the time of writing this article, the post has since garnered over 100 comments (I’ll share some at the end of this article) which are pretty one-sided. Here’s the video if you haven’t already seen it. If you have, watch it again. It' bloody hilarious! Video from Roads.sg YouTube Channel Confirm Singaporean According to the Roads.sg video description, this incident occurred across the causeway. Screenshot from Roads.sg YouTube Channel The owner of what we believe to be a 2016 Toyota Vios, is definitely a Singaporean. I can say this with assurance because I've pumped petrol in J.B. before and you only ever see Singaporeans do stupid shit like this while Malaysians laugh at us. The back of the car looks similar! Do you save money in the end? If you're not too familiar with what is going on, the logic is simple. Bubbles are formed when you pump petrol in your car and these bubbles take up precious space in your fuel tank that could go to more fuel. Therefore, if you shake your car, the bubbles will dissipate, allowing you to get more petrol and more savings. Alright, you might save a couple of bucks, but the repercussions don't make sense to me. Not worth it You will eventually wreck your rear suspension which is not cheap to repair. You look like an idiot You give Singaporeans a bad name You will kena caught on video like this guy and, everyone will know you for the wrong reasons What the people say The answer is nothing. You saved nothing. Pretty sure he is. Facebook comments taken from Roads.sg Facebook Page That’s funny af.
  4. Singapore should ban doraemon to match Malaysia http://allsingaporestuff.com/article/ultraman-comic-falls-home-ministry-ban KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — The Home Ministry has done what countless monsters and space aliens could not: Vanquish Ultraman. According to a report by national news agency Bernama today, the ministry issued a ban on the publication of the Bahasa Malaysia edition of the comic book, “Ultraman the Ultra Power”, for allegedly containing elements detrimental to public order. “It is an offence under Section 8 (2) of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 for any person to print, import, produce, reproduce, publish, sell, distribute, offer to sell or have in his possession for any such purpose the banned publication,” the ministry said in a statement. The statement was not yet available on the ministry’s website this evening, but an official verified the ban when contacted by The Malay Mail Online today. "Yes, KDN has banned the book ‘Ultraman the Ultra Power’," the official said in a brief text message. KDN is the Malay acronym for the Home Ministry. The ministry added that a gazette was issued on February 18 banning the comic that is published by Resign Publications and printed by Network Printers. It is unclear what aspect of the comic had led to the ban. Ultraman is a fictional Japanese superhero who fights “Kaiju” (monsters), and first appeared on television in the 1960s. It later gained popularity worldwide, including in Malaysia, leading to localised versions of the TV series and comic books.
